First off thanks to B00ned for the awesome new banners! Now here is SmackDown!

Friday Night SmackDown
Friday, April 4th 2008
Orlando Florida

A video plays that shows what happened in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania 24. It is then followed by a video that shows some of the highlights from the ECW Main Event that featured both The Undertaker and Kane facing Edge, Chavo, Hawkins and Ryder.

Shortly afterwards, the usual SmackDown starting video package plays with the usual music. Afterwards we are taking to the commentary desk where Michael Cole and Jonathon Coachman greet us.

Michael Cole: We are only 5 days gone since the biggest Pay Per View of the year so far, Wrestlemania 24, now we start the road to Backlash. And it looks as if Edge and Chavo Guerrero both want a rematch against the title’s they lost against Kane and the Undertaker.

Jonathon Coachman: That’s right Michael, at Wrestlemania 24, The Undertaker went sixteen and zero when he defeated ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship. And, what is even better is Kane, he beat Chavo Guerrero in less than eight seconds to capture the ECW Championship.

Michael Cole: Well speaking of Edge and Chavo they are scheduled to come out next and talk about both the ECW and World Heavyweight Championship.

***Metalingus***

Edge, Chavo, Hawkins, Ryder, Vickie and Theodore Long (who is wheeling Vickie’s wheelchair) head out and walk down the ramp receiving heat, except for Theodore Long. Edge just walks straight past the fans ignoring them but Chavo looks at them and shouts shut up to them making them worse. Edge gets into the ring and receives a microphone from one the ring assistants.

Edge: Words cannot describe how pissed off I’m feeling right now … …. I had the match won at Wrestlemania and you all know it!

***Heat***

Edge: I had the match won, I hit the spear and The Undertaker got lucky, he caught me off guard and locked in that sickening Submission Hold, rendering me helpless as the blood trickled out of my mouth! Undertaker! You’ve damaged my neck which means I won’t be in action tonight!

***Cheers***

Edge: You all … …You all think that’s good? I put my body on the line each week just to keep you losers happy!

***Heat***

Edge: Well, ‘Taker this isn’t over as I’m sure your about to find out soon enough, Vickie..

Edge passes the microphone to Vickie Guerrero who smiles, Edge holds his neck and stands behind Vickie’s wheelchair forcing Theodore Long to move.

Vickie: Undertaker, Edge is right, this is far from over! You see that submission move you use is far too dangerous! So like the Pay Per View states your going to have to face the Backlash of your actions! Because at Backlash it will be you, The Undertaker facing my fiancé Edge in an Table’s, Ladders and Chairs match!

***Massive Cheers for this announcement***

Vickie: Oh, and Undertaker if you use that move during your match with Edge you will be forced to surrender the World Heavyweight Championship! Now, Chavo you wanted to say something?

Vickie then passes the microphone to Chavo who thanks her and looks at the fans who are booing he waits a moment before speaking…

Chavo: Kane, I hope you saw the announcement on WWE dot com, but just incase you didn’t let me remind you, it will be You, Kane facing Me, Chavo Guerrero in an I Quit Match! And I’m sure you seen what happened in an I Quit Match I had last year against Rey Mysterio!

***The crowd boo as they can remember what happened**
Chavo: I injured these pathetic fans favorite superstar, I injured Rey Mysterio’s knee so bad that he was out of action for six months … …. And I enjoyed it!

***The crowd boo loudly***

Chavo: And Kane, I hear you won’t be in action for a few days since we damaged your gut and gave you a slight concussion, so I hope you see this because at Backlash your little fluke title reign is over!

--Commercial Break--

Michael Cole: Well ladies and gentlemen moments ago before our commercial break we had Edge; his fiancé Vickie and Chavo Guerrero talk about the ECW Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship.

Coachman: And what an announcement by our General Manager, Vickie Guerrero! It will be Edge versus The Undertaker at Backlash but not in just any match it will be in a, Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match!

Michael Cole: And what a match that will be! And lets not forget that Vickie has banned the submission move that The Undertaker has used for the past few weeks which has forced his opponents to bleed from the mouth, and the same move that beat Edge at Wrestlemania to make Undertaker go sixteen and zero and win the World Title. Lets take a look…

A video then plays showing The Undertaker first using the move against Big Daddy V on SmackDown, Big Daddy V taps out and then passes out as blood comes out of his mouth, it then shows victim after victim to the devastating submission hold before finally showing him using it on Edge at Wrestlemania.

Match #1
Michelle McCool vs. Victoria

Match Ending: Victoria has dominated most of the match using her rough style but Michelle McCool has managed to get back into the match at stages. Victoria has Michelle lying on the floor and is shouting trash at her, Victoria runs towards the ropes and rebounds off them she looks to elbow drop McCool, but Michelle rolls out of the way and Victoria hits her elbow on the canvas to the delight of the fans. Victoria gets back up rather quickly and Michelle runs at her and hits her with a clothesline and then another and then another, Michelle the throws Victoria into the ring ropes and kicks her in the gut when she rebounds off them Michelle then hits Victoria with the Wings Of Love, Michelle then covers Victoria for the victory!

Winner: Michelle McCool

Michelle rolls out of the ring and the referee lifts her hand up as Michelle smirks looking at Victoria who is rather dazed in the ring but is looking at Michelle looking rather pissed off to say the least.

Michael Cole: What a performance by the always improving Michelle McCool.

Coachman: A very good win for McCool against one of the top divas on SmackDown.

Michael Cole: Yes, Victoria is one of the best divas on SmackDown and I can tell you now, she won’t let this slide.

--Commercial Break--

Vickie is inside her office talking to Theodore long about something when in walks the returning Matt Hardy who returned at Wrestlemania, costing MVP the Money In The Bank.

Matt Hardy: Vickie, I have a question I want to ask you, its about me and Montel Vontavious Porter.

Vickie: What is it Hardy? Can’t you see I’m busy here?

Matt: Well Vickie, I want a United States Championship match against MVP at Backlash, and I want a match against him right now, here on Friday Night SmackDown!

Vickie: I like the idea Matt, but I have a better one, I will allow you to have a match against MVP here on SmackDown but I won’t book the United States Championship match just yet, but if you beat MVP tonight you will get a United States Title match at Backlash.

Matt looks rather happy as he has a chance to face MVP tonight and a chance to face him at Backlash for the United States Championship if he wins here tonight.

Vickie: Oh, and Matt .. ..Your match is up next!

Michael Cole:Another great announcement by our General Manager, Vickie Guerrero! If the returning Matt Hardy defeats MVP tonight he will receive a United States Championship match at Backlash!

Coachman: I wouldn’t get too excited about that Michael as I seriously doubt that Matt Hardy will be able to beat Montel Vontavious Porter here tonight.

Michael Cole: Why do you doubt that?

Coachman: Matt has just returned from an injury that was made worse by WWE Champion, Randy Orton. Do you seriously believe he can beat someone like Montel Vontavious Porter?

Michael Cole: Why not? … … Take a look at this video that shows how Matt picked up the injury.

A video then plays showing Matt Hardy and MVP losing their Tag Team Championships to John Morrison and The Miz. MVP helps Hardy up and then raises his arm, shortly afterwards to everyone’s amazement MVP attacks Matt Hardy viciously aiming at the injured leg that was hurt during the match, MVP traps it between the steel steps and the ring post and kicks the steel steps which see’s Hardy screaming in pain.

--Commercial Break--

Match #2
Matt Hardy vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
If Matt wins he receives a United States Title shot at Backlash
Match Ending: Matt Hardy was ruthless in the match and look to be in probably the best condition in his whole career. Hardy dominated most of the match but currently MVP was working over on Hardy’s knee that he injured so long ago. MVP stamps on the leg of Hardy, he then places it on the rope and stands on it until the referee gets to a count of 4. He the picks Hardy up and looks for the Playmaker but Hardy reverses the attempt and throws MVP to the floor using MVP’s legs. Hardy the climbs to top rope and does his signature V1 taunt before hitting the Diving Leg Drop from the top rope, Hardy then waits for MVP to get up, Hardy moves his fingers getting the crowd pumped up before kicking the gut of MVP and hitting a devastating Twist Of Fate! Hardy then covers MVP for the win!
Winner: Matt Hardy

Matt rolls out of the ring and looks at MVP who is groggy in the ring and still lying down, MVP helps himself up with the ropes and looks at Hardy who moves his hands across his waist gesturing to MVP that he is coming for MVP’s United States Title!

Michael Cole: Now will this shut you up Coach? Hardy looked great out there he pulled out one of his best performances on SmackDown and now has an United States Championship match against MVP at Backlash!

Coachman: Okay, I’ll admit it … Hardy did great tonight and deserved the win, even though MVP aimed at the knee that MVP injured months ago, Hardy managed to counter and pick up the win!

Michael Cole: And ladies and gentlemen tonight, The World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker will be in action in our main event and he will be taking on, none other than the ‘Animal’ Batista.
Coachman: This match is set to be off the chain Michael, we have Batista, a former champion against the current champion The Undertaker! And they are going to go at it like cat and dog!

We then go backstage where the lovely Maryse is standing alongside the ‘Animal’ Batista who will be facing The Undertaker tonight.

Maryse: Batista, You defeated the ‘Samoan Bulldozer’ Umaga at Wrestlemania just 5 days ago, in a very brutal match up, surely your not feeling one hundred percent tonight?

Batista: I’m still hurting that’s for sure, but tonight I have to go out there and face one of the best superstars this business has ever seen. And that’s something I do week in and week out, no excuses.

Maryse: You mustn’t be very confident for your match up…Tonight?

Batista: Why wouldn’t I be? The Undertaker was in a match too at Wrestlemania and was almost beat by Edge, he probably had a rougher time than I did. So to answer your question, yes I’m still fairly confident.

Maryse: Okay, one final question. Your mentor and friend, Ric Flair lost his match to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania and was forced to retire. Now what are your thoughts about this?

Batista:I’m kind of pissed off about that, Michael’s ego got the better of him. He could of let Flair win and Flair would still be wrestling today. But, no, ‘Mr. Wrestlemania’, ‘The Showstopper’ just couldn’t help himself.

Batista walks off as Maryse looks at him walking away as the screen fades into black as we go for a commercial break.

--Commercial Break--

Match #3
The Big Show vs. Mark Henry
Match Ending: Two big men in the same ring at the same time! The ring could very well collapse as these two forces lock horns. Big Show has a shiner on his left eye thanks to professional Boxer, Floyd ‘The Money’ Mayweather. Henry most probably has the most momentum from Wrestlemania after coming so close to winning the battle royal and winning a shot at the ECW Championship. Big Show is working over on Mark Henry, he has Henry in the corner and is deliver some nasty chops to the chest that could very well leave a burn. Big Show then throws Henry against the turnbuckle and goes for an uppercut but Henry ducks and then clotheslines The Big Show as he turns around. Henry then runs against the ropes, looking for the Worlds Strongest Slam but The Big Show moves. Henry gets up and The Big Show grabs a hold of Mark Henry’s chest, The Big Show delivers a Chokeslam and then covers Henry. ONE…TWO…THREE!

Winner: The Big Show

The Big Show stands up in the middle of the ring and refuses to have his arm raised by the referee, instead he stands over Mark Henry and lifts one hand in the air receiving some nice positive reaction from the crowd.

Michael Cole: What a performance by The Big show, who has a nasty shiner on his left eye thanks to his opponent at WrestleMania, Floyd Mayweather.

Coachman: Yeah, well, you don’t just get in the ring with Floyd ‘The Money’ Mayweather and expect a mark to not be left on you. The Big Show is seven feet tall and Floyd Mayweather beat him, using Brass Knuckles but none the less my point is anyone can be beat!

Michael Cole: That’s right, including Umaga who was beat at Wrestlemania five days ago, by the ‘Animal’ Batista.

Coachman: That was a fluke victory.

Michael Cole: *Laughs for 2 seconds*, Well after the break the Tag Team Championships will be on the line when John Morrison and The Miz take on, Jesse and Festus!

--Commercial Break--

Match #4
WWE Tag Team Championships
John Morrison and The Miz ©’s vs. Jesse and Festus
Match Ending: The Miz is the legal man for the champions as we join this match, as Jesse is the legal man for his team. Festus is on the apron wanting in on some of the action. The Miz is stamping on Jesse’s leg, similar to what they did to Shannon Moore on ECW. The Miz places Jesse’s leg on the ring rope and tags in his partner John Morrison, The Miz stands on Jesse’s leg and let’s go when John Morrison hits a dropkick on his leg forcing it back. Morrison runs at Festus and hits him with an enzuigiri and the picks up Jesse who is holding his leg clearly in pain, Morrison then hits the Moonlight Drive, he covers Jesse. ONE..TWO..THREE!!

Winners and STILL the WWE Tag Team Champions: John Morrison and The Miz

The Miz and Morrison smirk in the middle of the ring as The Miz hands Morrison his tag team title. Morrison tells The Miz to go and get something, The Miz slides out of the ring and gets a steel chair, he then slides back into the ring and hands it to Morrison who then WHACKS IT OVER THE HEAD OF FESTUS!! Festus drops to the floor as Morrison and The Miz laugh, Jesse is still lying on the floor but is holding his leg, Morrison raises the chair AND HITS IT AGAINST THE DAMAGED LEG OF JESSE!! Morrison drops the chair and him and The Miz roll out of the ring and head up the ramp.

Michael Cole: What the hell just happened here? Why did The Miz and Morrison attack Jesse and Festus so viciously? The match was almost like a replay of ECW with Morrison and The Miz aiming for the leg and then hitting the tag team partner off the apron and then Morrison hitting his signature Moonlight Drive. But, now they’ve went over the top using steel chairs!!

Coachman: It’s obvious Michael, The Miz and John Morrison were looking to do one thing… … Make a statement, and they did that. They have sent a warning to anybody who wants a shot at THEIR titles.

Michael Cole: Well it’s just sickening! We will try and keep you posted to see if Jesse’s leg is okay. But, coming up next, we have a Cruiserweight match when Jimmy Wang Yang, Jamie Noble, Kofi Kingston and Colin Delaney! Square off in the middle of the ring!

Coachman: Colin Delaney doesn’t stand a chance, anyways when did he receive a WWE Contract?

Michael Cole: I don’t know! Why don’t you ask him? And, how do you know he doesn’t stand a chance? He has as much chance as anyone of winning this match!

--Commercial Break--

Match #5
Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Jamie Noble vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Colin Delaney
Match Ending: Two SmackDown cruiserweights against two ECW cruiserweights. This match was one of the most fast paced matches in recent SmackDown history. We join the match with Colin Delaney on the outside thanks to Jamie Noble. Kofi Kingston is working on Jimmy Wang Yang and hits a nice cross body off the top rope but before he can make a cover he is kicked in the head viciously by Jamie Noble who then tries to cover Wang Yang but only gets a 2 count. Colin Delaney slides back into the ring and goes crazy! He clotheslines Jamie Noble and throws him into the turnbuckle before hitting several punches to the head of Jamie Noble, he then throws Noble to the outside, gaining momentum. But, all that momentum goes around 5 seconds later when Kofi Kingston manages to hit him with the Buzzaw Kick, Kofi covers for the win!

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston stands up in the ring and has his hand raised by the SmackDown referee, he then does his signature clap, before helping up Colin Delaney which receives a nice positive reaction from the crowd, they are about to leave the ring when…

Vickie Guerrero: Wait right there you four, I want to make an announcement! That match was so enjoyable to watch and it reminded me that the Cruiserweight title is vacant, so next week here on SmackDown were are going to have a huge match, with any cruiserweight welcome from either RAW, SmackDown or ECW and the match will be an elimination match with the winner getting a shot at the Cruiserweight title at Backlash!

***Pop***

Vickie:And, just in case your wondering you won’t find out who the winner will be facing until Backlash!!

***Pop***

--Commercial Break--

--Commercial Break--

Main Event
The Undertaker vs. Batista
Match Ending: Both men know one another very well and it plays a factor in this match as there are a lot of reversals and a lot of momentum changes. Undertaker has Batista in the corner and is pounding him with left’s and right’s he brings Batista out of the corner and twists his arm before climbing up the turnbuckle still holding onto Batista’s arm, and jumps off to elbow it hitting a little Old School! He then slides out of the ring and reaches into the ring and pulls Batista’s head so its leaning on the apron. He then perform a leg drop onto Batista as Batista slides to the floor down below. The Undertaker picks Batista back up and rolls him into the ring, he picks Batista up and throws him against the ropes, Batista uses this opportunity to gain some momentum and hits a spear on The Undertaker, only getting the two count. He then picks up The Undertaker and throws him into the corner, he runs at The Undertaker looking to clothesline him in the corner but The Undertaker moves he then runs off the ropes and delivers a wicked Big Boot to Batista, he then waits till Batista gets up and hits Batista with the Chokeslam, before locking in his deadly submission hold, Batista taps straight away.

Winner via submission: The Undertaker

The Undertaker keeps the hold locked in as Batista is left motionless, Edge, Chavo, Hawkins and Ryder then slide into the ring and attack The Undertaker, the 4 on 1 assault is too much for the ‘Deadman’ and all four men get him to the floor, the proceed to kick him as Edge and Chavo slide out of the ring looking for steel chairs, The Undertaker then double Chokeslam’s both Hawkins and Ryder, and then Chokeslam’s Chavo when he runs towards him with a steel chair. Edge takes the best out of the opportunity and SMASHES THE UNDERTAKER’S SKULL WITH THE STEEL CHAIR! The Undertaker is motionless, but nevertheless Edge goes to one of the corners and waits patiently, the brave Undertaker gets up still groggy and is holding his head, he turns around into a CRUNCHING SPEAR FROM THE ‘RATED R SUPERSTAR’!! Edge looks down at him smiling.

Michael Cole: Undertaker managed to defeat the ‘Animal’ Batista but the 4 on 1 assault by Edge and his buddies proved too much.

Coachman: Edge nearly took The Undertakers head off with that shot from the steel chair and then with that nasty spear!
