Good Rant.
It's as simple as this though, no one likes to own up to their duties and responsibilities as a(n) parents/role model/positive influential figure that they figure out the thing to pinpoint the blame on whether it's Violence, sex, or social attitudes and exposures. Usually it's the violence part and now games like GTA are in the forefront because of the popularity. Remember when the WWF was in the fore front 8 years ago by the FCC and Bozell?
People need to understand and learn how to controls themselves and if they have kids/siblings etc. I mean, I have GTA 4 and some of my cousins wanna play it, but I'll be DAMNED if I ever let them play it. They are 10 and 8. They are too immature to play a game like that.
But yea, no matter what, at the end of the day people will always find something to scapegoat. That's the world we live in. It's a shame, but it'll never change.
