Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Three burials of Meliquides Estrada
Directed and stared by Tommy lee Jones and written by Guillermo Arriaga (21 grams) This is about a rancher (jones) who lives by the Mexican border. He befriends and gives employment to an Illegal Immigrant. I really enjoyed this movie, Tommy lee Jones gave a riveting performance as did the border patrol agent Barry pepper (saving private ryan). Some political overtones as you might expect, but overall it didn't bother me too much. Part revenge story, with a tinge of western flavor, the movie never bores and just when you think you got it figured out you don't. The soundtrack was great, cinematography was magnificent, but Jones was the real star, his character is very similar to the role he played in No country for old men. Overall a very well made film quirky and morbid at times but a really good watch. Its a shame this movie has been virtually overlooked for so long.
