‘Always’ by Saliva blasts through the speakers as the camera cuts to Michael Cole and J.B.L.

Michael Cole: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the extravaganza that is the Great American Bash, an event steeped in history, hopefully some more will be made here tonight.

J.B.L: You can bet your bottom dollar it will be! We have Edge going one on one with the Undertaker, for the first time ever! That’s huge, bigger than Michael’s Cole’s ears.

Cole: Yes…. We also have the chance to main event Summerslam coming up; 5 men all vying for a place to battle for the World Heavyweight Championship plus MVP defends his gold against Matt Hardy!

J.B.L: We will come to that later, now it is time for the first match of the evening, King Booker, his majesty himself. Against the peasant Finlay, it should be a very physical battle, one which I have felt too many times and it is one of the reasons why I am sitting here with this loser…

Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Houston, Texas. Weighing in at 256lbs, King Booker!

*ROYAL CORONATION* plays as Booker struts down to the ring with his wife Sharmell, accompanied by a chorus of boos. Booker steps in the ring and raises his little finger to the crowd as Queen Sharmell majestically takes off his crown.

Chimel: Introducing his opponent. From Belfast, Northern Ireland and weighing in at 236 pounds, Finlay!

*I LOVE TO FIGHT* hits as Finlay walks down to the ring in a frantic pace, clutching his shillelagh and placing it in the corner of the ring.

Match 1- King Booker vs. Finlay

FULL MATCH:
The match begins with Finlay and King Booker staring each other down. Booker then motions below the ring towards Hornswoggle before shaking his head. Finlay, taking disgust to this starts punching Booker and forcing him in the corner. Finlay then unloads lefts and rights to the face and chest of Booker, sending him to the floor before Booker manages to roll out of the ring, trying to recover from that brutal onslaught. The crowd are booing heavily as Finlay comes out of the ring and goes after Booker, whilst in pursuit Queen Sharmell slows Finlay down and as Finlay starts to go after Booker again the King manages to push a set of steel steps in to Finlay’s path, tripping him up. Booker rolls him back in the ring before unleashing a few elbows to the chest of Finlay, whose head is poking under the bottom rope. Booker cockily gets on to the canvas and taunts to the crowd but Finlay kicks out at the ankle of Booker, forcing him to fall over and out of the ring. Booker, who is distraught at Finlay’s actions starts to yell at the referee, Sharmell joins in the argument at ringside, momentarily distracting the referee which is just enough time for Booker to sneak in to the ring and poke the eyes of Finlay. Now Booker has the advantage he lands a few place kicks in to the legs of Finlay to try and get the Belfast Bruiser off of his feet. Finally Booker manages to coop up enough strength to scoop Finlay off of his feet and placing himself in the middle of the ring and hitting a running powerslam. Booker, rather exhausted puts a hand over Finlay’s chest for the pinfall.

Finlay gets a shoulder up but Booker is going absolutely berserk at the referee but the referee orders Booker to calm down, Finlay, who notices what is going on grabs the legs of Booker and attempts a roll up whilst holding the tights.

The official notices Finlay has the tights and gives him until 5 to release the hold, which he does almost instantly. Finlay uses the ropes to get to his feet and starts verbally abusing Booker and telling him ‘To get the hell on his feet’ the crowd are loving it but Booker fails to comply to his orders so Finlay takes things in to his own hands, quite literally by grabbing the hair of Booker, hoisting him up to his feet. Finlay unleashes a few trademark European Uppercuts to the face of Booker, one of which was an extremely stiff shot to the nose of Booker. Finlay pulls away from the King as the official manages to check on him, Booker pans towards the camera which reveals he has a bloody nose. Booker doesn’t take lightly to that punch and starts unleashing fierce punches to the stomach of Finlay before giving him a stiff shot in return. Finlay responds by back handing the chest of King Booker, a la Ric Flair. Finlay attempts a clothesline but Booker ducks the move and squares Finlay right in the face with a massive roundhouse kick. Booker then valiantly climbs over Finlay for the pinfall attempt.

Finlay yet again gets a shoulder up, much to the dismay of Queen Sharmell and King Booker. Booker gets straight up on to his feet and bounces off the ropes and attempts a leg drop but Finlay rolls out of the way just in time. Booker brings Finlay up to he is kneeling on one knee, much like he is bowing to King Booker, Booker then proceeds without mercy to kick Finlay straight in the gut. Booker throws Finlay across the ring like a ragdoll. Booker then taunts to the crowd again, who are booing him with extreme hatred. Finlay, meanwhile, has just managed to get on his feet, using the ropes and leverage to reach a vertical base. Booker then runs at Finlay but in a split second Finlay swaps the direction of his body and swivels around, completely sidestepping the move and leaving Booker flustered and prone to attack. Finlay manages to lift Booker in to the air and with a swift and fluent movement throws Booker to the outside with a back body drop. Booker is aghast on the outside as his Queen manages to get him on his feet and talks to him before sending him back in the ring but as the referee is turning around Booker clips the heels of the referee which allows Sharmell the time to nip in to the ring and take off her stiletto. She looks like she is about to clock Finlay around the head with it but Finlay sees it coming and grabs her hand and throws her in to the corner, leaving her slumped in the corner. It seemed like it was Booker’s plan all along as Booker rushes the ring and hits a Russian Leg Sweep on Finlay, sending his head bouncing straight off of the canvas. Booker gets up to his feet and it looks like he is about to do the Spinaroonie as his eyes widen but he calmly collects himself and rebounds off of the ropes before raising his little finger aloft before crashing down on Finlay’s larynx with a vicious knee drop. Finlay is then dragged over by Booker who climbs to the top rope and without notice attempts a flying axe handle from the top rope but Finlay sticks his foot out, hitting Booker straight in the bloody nose, sending him in to the corner in a heap. Finlay does regain composure in little to no time and he seems to have gained the advantage as Booker is still reeling from the kick. Finlay grabs Booker by the neck and places him in a DDT-like position. Finlay hooks his ankle around Booker’s, who tries relentlessly to elbow his way out of trouble but Finlay is having none of it and plants Booker with a massive Crucifix DDT. Finlay hooks the leg of Booker and goes for his first meaningful pinfall in this match.

Booker kicks out in the nick of time. Queen Sharmell nearly had a heart attack in the process. Finlay then sets his gaze on Queen Sharmell and unleashes a toothy(less) grin. Sharmell shrieks and tries to run in high heels but Finlay easily catches up to her and he lifts her on to his shoulders and carries her in to the ring. This was a foolhardy mistake, and a rather amateur one, from Finlay as Booker gets to his feet and hits a sidewalk slam on Finlay. Booker again drags Finlay towards the corner and climbs up to the top rope and signals for the Houston Hangover but Finlay valiantly gets to his feet and goes to the first rope and scales it. He steps up to the second rope but Booker unleashes punches to the face of Finlay as he starts to teeter at the edge of the ropes but a sudden adrenaline burst comes out of nowhere and Finlay manages to muster up enough energy to get to the third, and top, rope. Booker is in a state of shock, like he has just seen a ghost as Finlay hooks the arm of Booker around his own. Finlay is attempting a superplex but Booker blocks the move at the last instant but Finlay counters this with a very risky shoulder charge on the top rope, but fortunately it pays off as Booker starts to lose his balance and Finlay is able to connect with the top rope superplex as the crowd are chanting HOLY SHIT. Finlay, seemingly out of breath and energy, manages to scoop one arm over the chest of a heavily-breathing Booker and goes for a pinfall.

Somehow, someway Booker kicked out of this predicament but that seems to have taken a lot of energy out of him. The referee notices both men are down and has no other option but to start a ten count.

Finlay gets to his feet but still looks heavily shaken after that massive move. Booker gets to his feet several seconds later but has to be willed on immensely by his wife, Queen Sharmell. Booker gets to his feet but turns around and finds Finlay lunging towards him but the quick thinking Booker trips Finlay up and he goes face first in to the adjacent steel post. Booker laughs and mocks Finlay who is left rubbing his head in frustration. Booker screams at Finlay ‘Get up knave’ but this only spurs Finlay on further. Finlay gets to his feet and goes toe to toe with Booker but Booker rakes the eye of Finlay and kicks him in the mid section before hooking his arm around Finlay’s neck and he hits a swinging neckbreaker. Booker looks to go for a pinfall but ‘trips up’ the fallen body of Finlay. Booker crawls over to Sharmell who hands him her shoe! Sharmell protests to the referee on the canvas that ‘her baby is hurt’ so the referee tries to reason with Sharmell as Finlay gets to his feet. Finlay slowly turns around but it met with a smirking Booker who clocks him around the head with Sharmell’s stiletto. Booker is laughing immensely as he grabs Finlay and with ease kicks him in the mid section, rebounds off of the ropes and hits the scissors kick to down Finlay. Booker knows the win is academic and collapses over Finlay in celebration and hooks the leg, meanwhile a little green hat pops out from under the ring.

Hornswoggle! Hornswoggle runs across the ring, distracting the referee and King Booker and breaking up the imminent 3 count. Booker grabs hold of Hornswoggle but manages to slip out of the King’s grasp and is met by a smirking Finlay who kicks Booker rather low and hits a thunderous piledriver which shakes the foundations of the ring. Finlay goes for the pinfall in the middle of the ring.

After a very long count Booker manages to kick out. Finlay leaves a few choice words for the referee as he gets to his feet. Finlay picks Booker up and looks to go for an inverted DDT but Booker manages to swivel his arms and place in the Book End but Finlay elbows the face and nose of Booker and Irish whips Booker on to the rope and picks up on to his shoulders. Finlay parades Booker around the ring before attempting to go for the Celtic Cross but Booker manages to slide out of the grasp of the fighting Irishman but catch Finlay in a roll up.

Finlay, with all of his might, kicks out, but only just. Finlay crawls over to the corner, seemingly to get some breath when the referee spots Hornswoggle causing havoc with Sharmell so goes out to push the little critter back under the ring but Finlay has managed to pick up the shillelagh and he smashes Booker in the head with it. Booker is now out cold. Finlay lifts a lifeless Booker on to his shoulders and hits the Celtic Cross, he wants this over and done with as soon as possible so quickly goes for the pinfall.

Sharmell puts Booker’s foot on the rope, unbeknown to Finlay and the referee but it still stands as a 2 count. Finlay then notices what Sharmell has done and goes outside the ring and chases after Sharmell again. Finlay tackles Sharmell but out of view of the referee Sharmell hits Finlay with Booker’s solid gold sceptre. Booker winks at Sharmell as he goes to the outside of the ring and throws Finlay back in. Booker lifts Finlay up and kicks Finlay in the stomach and hits the Scissors Kick and goes straight for the pin.

Chimel: The winner of this match, via pinfall, King Booker!

The crowd boo immensely at the duo of Sharmell and Booker as they strut back up the ring and laugh at a downed Finlay who is being accompanied by Hornswoggle.

Cole: He cheated! King Booker cheated to win the damn match and it’s all because of his wife, Queen Sharmell!

J.B.L: So you didn’t see that damn midget nearly cost his Majesty the win? Booker was simply adapting to the surroundings, from one fine man to another Josh Matthews is talking with Chavo Guerrero backstage.

Josh: Chavo, in a matter of minutes you have to go one on one with Eric Young….

*Chavo grabs the shirt of Matthews and pulls the mic over to his mouth*

Chavo: It doesn’t matter if I have to face Superman, I will be walking away with that title still around my waist and with my man here Mark Henry, nobody can stop us. I will pick up that rookie’s body and I will pin him 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring and it will send a message to the lazy fat ass slobs at home and every single wrestler in the WWE that I am the best Cruiserweight in the world today.

*Chavo pushes the chest of Mark Henry quite aggressively*

Chavo: C’mon big man let’s go kick some pathetic ass.

Tony Chimel: This match is for the Cruiserweight Championship and is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from British Columbia. Weighing in at 220lbs, being accompanied to the ring by Chuck Palumbo, Eric Young!

Match 2- Cruiserweight Championship Eric Young vs. Chavo Guerrero ©

FULL MATCH:
The match starts with a rather reluctant Eric Young circling around Chavo Guerrero. Chavo then urges Young to grapple with him, Eric turns to the crowd who cheer in approval. Eric starts grappling with Chavo but the more experienced Chavo manages to get the upper hand and locks in a headlock on Young before releasing the hold but pouncing on Young again, this time applying a wrist lock. Young manages to cling on to the ropes, forcing Chavo to release the hold but Chavo slyly pushes Young over to the turnbuckle. Chavo runs at Young with intent but Young uses the ropes to flip out of the way and on to the outside of the ring but Chavo hooks his arm around Young and hits a suplex to Young which sends him back in the ring. Chavo goes straight for the cover,

Young manages to stagger on to this feet but Chavo leaps off of the top rope and attempts an axe handle but Young, simply out of luck, flinches and ducks out of the way but manages to catch Chavo in a remarkably perfect drop toehold. Young opens his eyes to see Chavo fallen on the floor. Young leaps on him for the cover, it surely won’t grab him the win.

Young barely gets a one in his first PPV match but tries to pump himself and waits for Chavo to get up to his feet and to everyone’s surprise Young knocks Chavo’s block off with a massive clothesline. Young takes the right leg of Chavo and twists it, causing Chavo to scream in agony. Young flips over the leg of Chavo but Chavo puts a lot of pressure in his lower back and both men perform a bridge but both men’s shoulders are on the mat so the referee counts the pinfall,

Chavo rolls out of this pinning attempt and kicks Young stiffly in the head, both men get a standing ovation as Chavo comes out on top. Chavo gets on to the middle rope but Chuck Palumbo goes to distract Chavo but Mark Henry intervenes by pulling the leg of Palumbo and Chavo jumps out of the ring and hits a modified bulldog which sends Palumbo’s skull cracking in to the referee’s rendering him out of action. Mark Henry and Chavo swarm the ring and pick up a downed Young but Young knows what is going on and rolls away from Chavo’s punch and goes towards the ropes and plants Chavo to the floor with a springboard moonsault. He gets a little bit too big headed and starts punching Mark Henry but nothing will affect the Sliverback so Young gets out of the ring and manages to revive his partner, Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo and Mark Henry, who has now gone to the outside of the ring to confront Palumbo, stare each other down. Mark Henry then lays out Palumbo with one punch and leans him against the barricade and hits a big boot before lifting Palumbo up and with a gargantuan effort applies the bearhug to Palumbo who starts punching the face of Mark Henry, Henry then lays down a lifeless Palumbo and hits a World’s Strongest Slam on Palumbo to put him out of his misery. Chavo and Young meanwhile and brawling back in the ring as the referee just about gets to his feet. Chavo lifts Young up on to his shoulders and starts laughing, Chavo is about to drop him with immense force but Young manages to counter the move and Young hits a massive DDT which bounces Chavo’s head off the canvas. Young then places a hand over the chest of Chavo for the cover.

Chavo kicks out as Young has a look of amazement on his face. Young talks to himself quietly before getting some advice from Chuck Palumbo, who has since gotten to his feet, after security pulled the two men apart. Young knows what he must do and he goes to the top rope and waits for a groggy Chavo to get to his feet, slowly but surely Chavo does. Chavo looks up at Young and gets down on to his knees and ‘pleads’ with Young not to hit the Missile Dropkick. Young, feeling sorry for Chavo, goes over to comfort Chavo but, instead, Chavo rakes in the eyes of Young and cockily walks away and screams ‘Viva La Raza’ Young gets to his feet and starts to psyche himself up and then he lunges at Chavo with intent and unleashes lefts and rights to the face of Chavo who has to cover up to avoid facial damage. Chavo then rolls out of the ring and goes behind Mark Henry, to protect him, Palumbo goes over to Henry and knocks him off his feet with a tremendous big boot which sends the crowd wild! Palumbo then throws a rather scared Chavo back in the ring. Young quickly goes for the cover,

Chavo kicks out rather easily but Young hits a leg drop and straight afterwards cups his ear a la Hulk Hogan and is able to get a sustainable pop from the San Jose crowd. Young finally goes up to the top rope and patiently waits for Chavo to get on to his feet, placing in a few taunts to keep the crowd happy. Young glides through the air with ease and hits a missile dropkick straight in to the jaw of Chavo, completely sweeping him off of his feet. Chavo kicks out at the very last instant from Young’s finisher which leaves Young flabbergasted. Young, still determined gets to his feet and brings Chavo with him and Irish whips him to the ropes and rebounds off and hits a belly to belly suplex in to a bridge but again Chavo rolls out of the pinning combination and Chavo has Young in a pre powerbomb position and is about to hit the powerbomb when Young hits a back body drop but before Chavo feels the force of the impact and hurts himself Chavo manages to grab the leg of Young and roll over once again and to the amazement of the crowd, Young is locked in none other than the legendary Guerrero submission, the Lasso from El Paso. Young is struggling and with all his might and tries to reach the bottom rope but Chavo’s experience outweighs Young’s heart as he drags Young in to the middle of the ring. The crowd are urging Young on and it looks like he is about to tap when he attempts a very unorthodox manoeuvre, he places both hands on the mat in front of him and turns his body around, this puts all of the pressure on the arms of Chavo and weakens him enough so Young can kick out at him and sending him flying across the ring, much to the delight of the crowd. Chavo gets on his knees and pleads again but this time Young has no mercy and knees him in the gut before lifting Chavo up and bodyslamming him. Young quickly goes for the pinfall,

Chavo kicks out, but only just. Young starts to rally with the crowd as Chavo reluctantly gets to his feet. Young takes a play out of Palumbo’s book, he revs up his motor and smashes Chavo in the face with a monster big boot. Young decides against going for a pinfall and instead lifts Chavo up to his feet and aims for a vertical suplex but Chavo blocks it just in time and then Chavo Irish whips Young in to the corner and places him on the top rope and punching him to weaken and wear him down. Out of nowhere Chavo hits a snap DDT which leaves Young out cold. Chavo drags Young to the middle of the ring and hastily climbs up to the top rope, he then hits a frog splash and the subsequent pinfall,

Young kicks out! The heart of the rookie is phenomenal as Chavo can’t believe it. Chavo calls out to Henry to grab the title belt, the referee tries to stop him, as does Palumbo who accidentally knocks out the referee. Henry passes the title to Chavo but Young ducks when Chavo swings at him with the belt but misses. Young starts to get some momentum, he then kicks Chavo in the gut, who still has the belt in his hands. Young goes for the powerbomb but Chavo strikes with the belt, it was a rookie mistake from Young as Chavo collapses on Young. The referee climbs in to the ring and slowly makes the count,

Chimel: The winner of this match and still Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero!

J.B.L: My man Chavo has done it again! He defied the odds and pinned that wimp 1-2-3! He truly is the greatest Cruiserweight in the world!

Cole: I’m not even going start on where you are wrong.

J.B.L: Then don’t. Josh Matthews is with the New Breed ahead of their handicap match later on tonight.

*The camera cuts to Matthews and Matt Striker, with Burke and Brown standing behind Striker*

Matthews: Matt, later on tonight the New Breed will face its toughest test yet; whoever gets a pinfall goes straight to the main event of Summerslam. There are 3 of you and 2 of them….

Striker: Ha, the monkey can count! My delinquent friend, don’t you think we already know this about this courageous dilemma set to us by Teddy Long and honestly we have fretted about it and come to a logical conclusion. You see, I don’t want my brain beaten by mindless fools like Edge or the Undertaker

*Pop*

Striker: No, my two men can beat the monotonous idiots, like they have already beaten half of ECW. I will admit that they have heart but after we’re through with them they will want to feast on their own younglings like the despicable little SOB’s they are because they are dumb and they are worthless. I have taught you a lesson today in gratitude, Joshua now get the hell out of sight!

*Matthews is seen backing away as the camera cuts to Matt Striker who has a huge grin on his face*

Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen the next match is for the WWE tag team championship, the rules for this match are that only 2 men opposing teams are allowed in at one time. Match 3- WWE Tag Team Championship:
Deuce ‘N Domino © vs. Londrick vs. Bluebloods

RECAP:
We are 5 minutes in to this match, at this current time William Regal and Deuce are in the ring. It is turning in to a very physical contest, and quick. Regal forces Deuce in to a corner and Dave Taylor is next to him on the apron. The referee goes over to Taylor to tell him to stop distracting Deuce. This gives Regal enough time to rake the eyes of Deuce and land a few punches in before tagging in Dave Taylor. Taylor lands a few bruising forearms to the face of Deuce. The Bluebloods tactic of getting overly physical with Deuce seems to be working as Deuce is completely out of his normal mind frame and starts to get dizzy and throw punches that are nowhere near his target of Taylor. Domino urges him to get to the corner but he can’t seem to make it but, somehow, when Taylor attempts a very stiff punch Deuce ducks to the floor and takes Taylor’s legs out, clipping his knees. Deuce is still not all there and instead of tagging in Domino, accidentally tags in Paul London. London immediately gets up to the top rope but Regal is there to stop him and climbs up to the top rope with him! Domino gets in on the act now, while Regal looks for the fireman’s carry press Domino takes away the legs of Regal and hits an Electric Chair drop with Regal and London both feeling the affects of the major move. The referee finally manages to get a downed Regal and an exhausted Domino out of the ring but is quick enough to spot an attempted breakage of the rules by Taylor. The referee gives him a verbal warning. Taylor, looking increasingly frustrated, tags in Domino who immediately starts to kick the downed London, he laughs before rebounding off of the ropes and attempting to jump over London who uses his legs like a springboard to guillotine Domino on the ropes. London quickly leaps to his feet and sees Domino leaning against the ropes. London goes for the swinging neckbreaker but Domino still has a lot of momentum and manages to pull London over to the outside of canvas. Domino hooks London’s arm around his and twists his wrist, Domino then kicks out at the knees, weakening him further. The crowd are booing intensely as Domino goes for a suplex but out of nowhere London shifts his weight and plants Domino’s face on the mat with a massive inverted DDT. London hooks the leg for the cover,

Domino kicks out, many of the crowd though Deuce and Domino were eliminated so start cheering but it then turns to frustrated groans. London tags in Kendrick who flies around the ring, to the amazement of the crowd. Regal sticks out a sly foot and trips up Kendrick, while the referee reprimands Regal Deuce punts Kendrick in the head; Domino then goes up to the top rope and crashes back down to earth with a giant elbow drop, something he rarely does. Domino decides against going for the cover and instead works on the legs, applying the Indian Death Lock to Kendrick. Brian is screaming in pain as he feverishly tries to reach the ropes but to no avail. Suddenly Kendrick gets a surge of energy and manages to cling on to the middle rope, despite Kendrick’s effort Domino refuses to let go of the hold, knowing a disqualification would mean his team keeping the titles, in the end Domino is forced off of the hold but at the very last instant Domino grabs the legs and slams Kendrick back down to the mat, forcing him to scream in agony. Domino then tags in Deuce who gets up to the top rope, Domino sets Kendrick up with the vertical suplex. Deuce leaps off of the top rope and attempts the crossbody/suplex combination but Kendrick has the move sufficiently scouted and manages to reverse the move in to a pinfall of his own.

Domino breaks the pinfall up with a flying forearm, the referee then orders him out of the ring. Domino now tags in none other than William Regal. Kendrick, needing a breather, tags in Paul London who goes toe to toe with William Regal. Regal gets London in a headlock and then turns him over and locks him in an inverted headlock before putting immense pressure on his head and putting him on the floor and putting him in a chin lock. London cries out in pain but manages to cling to the bottom rope, Regal is forced to let go of the move, this gives London enough time to recuperate. Regal misses a Dusty Rhodes style elbow drop because London rolled out of the ring. Domino and Taylor follow him out of the ring and both attack him, with Taylor hitting a picture perfect flapjack. With 5 of the men now on the outside, Deuce, Domino, Regal, Taylor and a downed London Kendrick had to step up to the plate. He got on the top rope and caught 4 of the men unaware and hit a suicide plancha from the top rope, taking out all 4 men. The referee, not wanting a title match to end in a count out, orders the match to go on. London gets back in the ring but climbs on to the top rope, just when it looks like Kendrick is about to receive an almighty pummelling from the 4 men London hits a shooting star press to the outside but he is caught by Deuce ‘N Domino! They walk him around the ring before slamming him in to the steel pole. Kendrick is then thrown in to the crowd by Taylor but Domino nearly takes Taylor’s head off with a clothesline. Domino then sets Regal up for the Crack ‘Em in Da Mouth. Domino waits patiently and out of nowhere Deuce explodes with all of his fury and kicks Regal right in the teeth, bashing his head back against the steel pole. Everyone in the arena is in shock, except for Deuce ‘N Domino who are visibly smiling. The greaser duo throw Regal back in the ring and place London top of Regal for the cover.

Wait, wait a minute! The official on the outside says that Domino tagged in before London hit the move. Domino then leaps in the ring and cleans house, kneeing London in the ribs and then hitting a vertical suplex and hitting a massive belly to belly suplex. Regal, meanwhile, is quietly talking with Taylor about match tactics, he suddenly collapses on the floor, clutching his knee, Taylor then gets the referee’s attention as Regal sneaks over to the back of Domino and clubs him in the back of the head with some brass knuckles! Taylor then pulls the leg of Deuce to get his attention away from the action as Regal throws away the brass knuckles and goes for the pin,

Domino kicks out. London then tags in Kendrick. Kendrick then sprints in to the ring and lifts Domino on to his feet; he hits an amazing dropkick which sends Domino spiralling in to the corner. Kendrick runs at Domino full speed ahead but Domino moves out of the way and Kendrick smashes his face in to the padded turnbuckle. Domino then takes advantage and kicks Kendrick in the mid section. He then sets Kendrick up for a powerbomb turned snake eyes but Kendrick escapes on to the top rope and hits a leg scissors on Domino, sending him flying out of the ring. Meanwhile London and Deuce are brawling when, out of nowhere, Deuce lets fly with a massive spinning roundhouse kick, he then bashes London’s head in to the steel pole, Deuce ‘N Domino then hit a double suplex right through the Spanish announce table! Suddenly, through the crowd come The World’s Greatest Tag Team who, despite Kendrick’s best efforts to fight them off, lay victim to a massive T-Bone Suplex which sends Kendrick half way across the ring, Haas then hits a German Suplex. The greasers then hit the ring; the World’s greatest tag team scarper before signalling that they are the best. Deuce and Domino can sense that the end is near when they notice London and Kendrick both down. Domino is the legal man so he decides to take on Kendrick while Deuce goes to relentlessly beat down London, much to the delight of Cherry who s******s at Paul London. Kendrick and Domino are involved in a slug fest in the middle of the ring but Kendrick musters up strength to hit a hip toss. Kendrick then climbs up to the top rope. He takes in a breath of fresh air and goes for the Shooting Star Press but Domino moves out of the way. Deuce climbs back in to the ring as London is taken care of. Domino picks up a lifeless Kendrick and lifts him in the air. Deuce runs up and completes the Crack ‘Em in Da Mouth. Both men now smirk. Domino then easily covers Kendrick,

Match 4- CM Punk vs. Mr. Kennedy

RECAP: We are around 5 minutes in to this match as Kennedy and Punk are still testing each other out; they lock up in the middle of the ring. Kennedy gets the upper hand with some suspect grappling and pulling of the tights from Kennedy. Kennedy uses his weight advantage and forces Punk in to the corner. Kennedy starts climbing up the turnbuckle but Punk hinders his route by using forearms to the chest. Kennedy pokes the eye of Punk and finally climbs to the top rope. He starts punching Punk in the face sternly. One punch, then another, he rallies of 7 more in quick succession before raising his hand like a microphone, he is about to go for the last punch but somehow Punk blocks it and catches Kennedy’s hand. Punk then lifts Kennedy in the air with his hands and hits a makeshift powerbomb! Punk hooks the leg of Kennedy for the cover,

Kennedy raises a shoulder. Punk throws his hair back and carries on with the job in hand but Punk, who has one eye on the crowd, takes his eye off of the ball and Kennedy hits a sly drop toehold and forces Punk on the floor. Kennedy then grabs the legs of Punk and places him adjacent to the turnbuckle. Kennedy then uses his momentum to hit a monkey flip and flinging Punk straight in to the corner. Kennedy then gets to his feet and clips the knee of Punk before throwing Punk in to the bottom rope of the corner. Kennedy goes over to the other side of the ring and runs at Punk full steam ahead and plants him with a massive boot in the corner to the face of Punk! Kennedy then shoves his boot in to Punk’s face but the referee forces Kennedy off of Punk. Kennedy gets in a sly kick before finally walking away. Kennedy turns around to see Punk already getting to his feet. Kennedy is in shock but starts to go to work and unloads with various punches including a massive jab to the jaw of Punk which sends him reeling in the corner. Before Punk takes his hands away from his face Kennedy kicks him in the gut, taking him out of action for a short space of time. Kennedy then hoists Punk on to his shoulders, the crowd scream because they think they are about to see the Green Bay Plunge but Kennedy simply places him on the top rope. Kennedy hooks his arm around Punk, ready for the Suplex and places a foot on the bottom rope but out of nowhere Punk hits a flying neckbreaker, the crowd let Punk know of their pleasure as he manages to get a pinfall.

Kennedy again places Punk on the top rope as Kennedy goes to a crouched position. Suddenly, Kennedy hooks the arm and smashes Punk’s skull on the mat with a Snap DDT which sends the crowd silent. Punk gets a shoulder up. Kennedy screams ‘No’ but the crowd know Punk won’t give up that easily. Kennedy starts stomping away at the hands of Punk, in case of the Anaconda Vice. Kennedy then hits a leg drop. He then rebounds off of the ropes and attempts another leg drop but Punk sees it coming. Punk has an adrenaline rush and gets to his feet and screams at Kennedy to get up. Punk, as soon as Kennedy gets to his feet, scoops him up and attempts a pumphandle slam but Kennedy rolls out of it and applies the Chickenwing Crossface. The crowd are booing as they wanted to see a big move and also, Punk looks to be in a lot of pain in the middle of the ring as it looks like Kennedy won’t relinquish the hold. As Kennedy attempts to grip the hold even tighter, Punk changes his body direction and forces Kennedy’s shoulders on the mat for the pinfall.

Kennedy gets out of the pinfall, but only just. He and Punk separate themselves from each other before finally squaring off in the middle of the ring. The fans know that this is a moment that we won’t forget in a hurry so let out a tremendous pop before Kennedy slaps the face of Punk but Punk is extremely angered by this move and takes down Kennedy, unleashing a few punches to the face of Kennedy before busting Kennedy’s lip open with a stiff uppercut! Punk tells Kennedy to bring it but Kennedy is reluctant to get to his feet. After several seconds he does oblige and again the two men face off in the middle of the ring. Punk is surprisingly caught off guard as Kennedy lays the ‘Smackdown’ with a massive sideslam backbreaker which shook the foundations of the ring. Kennedy climbs on Punk for the cover.

Punk just manages to kick out. Kennedy goes up to the top rope as Punk slowly gets to his feet. Kennedy is about to leap but decides against it. Instead, he drops down. Kennedy applies an armbar to Punk, who is just starting to regain his composure, in an instant Punk turns around and manages to apply an armbar of his own. He looks over to the top rope and decides to go there, kicking Kennedy in the ribs along the way. He climbs up the top rope, with Kennedy’s arm in tow, he starts walking the rope, a la Old School! Instead of the trademark he punch he drops down with a massive springboard leg drop, igniting the crowd and sending Kennedy in to a crumpled heap on the floor. Punk dives on Kennedy for the pin,

Punk was nearly upset there but he just managed to kick out. Both Punk and Kennedy get to their feet at the same time, Kennedy looks visibly out of breath so Punk decides to take advantage of the situation and bounces off of the top rope and hits a springboard clothesline, knocking Kennedy clean off of his feet. Punk then leaps up to his feet and starts staring down Kennedy. He is waiting for his opponent to get up off of his feet, he then runs at Kennedy and attempts a lariat but Kennedy reverses it in to a hip toss. Kennedy smells the air and senses the end of his opponent. Kennedy grabs Punk by the hair and hooks the arms around Punk’s head. He then hooks both arms but Punk shifts his weight and stops the move but Kennedy leans backwards and hits Punk with a double underhook DDT. Kennedy then turns Punk over and goes for the pin,

Punk kicks out rather easily. Kennedy now realises he needs to do more if he wants to put the Straight Edge superstar away in this match. Kennedy sees Punk on the floor and rebounds off of the ropes, he then swings his leg and punts Punk right in the shoulder. Punk keels over in agony but Kennedy just stands there smirking. Kennedy then dropkicks the hurt shoulder of Punk. Kennedy knows Punk is injured, he can sense it, he can feel it. Punk slowly gets up to his feet as Kennedy rushes at Punk, taking no care of what might happen but he walks straight in to Punk’s hands. Punk then sets Kennedy up for the spinebuster and he connects with the thunderous move! Punk collapses on to his knees before even attempting the pinfall. He puts an arm over Kennedy for the pinfall attempt.

Kennedy kicks out with extreme force which sends Punk on to his back. Kennedy turns over Punk again and locks in the Texas Cloverleaf in the middle of the ring. Punk is screaming in agony as Kennedy locks in the move even tighter. It doesn’t look like for one second that Kennedy is going to let go of this submission move. Punk starts slowly crawling over to the bottom rope but Kennedy has enough strength to pull Punk closer towards the middle of the ring. You can see the emotion in Punk’s face as he realises that no matter what he does he can’t get out of the hold but he doesn’t want to give up in front of his loyal fans. Punk mounts one last attack; he twists his leg ever so slightly and kicks out at Kennedy who NEARLY relinquishes the hold but just about manages to cling on to Punk’s legs and keep the move locked in. It looks as if Punk is about to cry with sadness as he can’t get to the bottom rope but miraculously he stretches out and clips the bottom rope. He is almost there! At the last instant, when he is about to tap, or pass out, he clings on to the bottom rope, the referee starts counting to 5. Kennedy releases the hold but can’t believe what just happened. The heart of Punk somehow prevailed. The crowd are going nuts in California and it’s easy to see why. Punk rolls out of the ring to gain some breath after that agonising ordeal but Kennedy is right behind him. Punk knows that Kennedy is behind him and just about manages to clench on to Kennedy’s arm, he then wrenches Kennedy’s arm and turns away from Kennedy before exploding with extreme force with a mule kick! Punk quickly rolls in the ring and back out to stop the referee’s 10 count. By this time, Kennedy is just about getting to his feet, he’s winded, but he’s maintained a solid vertical base. Kennedy slips away from the clutches of Punk and clips him in the knee, Kennedy then goes back to back with Punk and grabs his neck before forcing it on to his shoulder with the neckbreaker! Kennedy rolls back in to the ring at 4, leaving Punk to rot outside of the ring. Punk manages to get to his feet by 7.

Punk gets up on the canvas. Kennedy wants to end this once and for all, albeit via countout. He charges at Punk and wants to let loose with a massive shoulder block but somehow, Punk reverses the move in to a back body drop to the crowd’s delight. Kennedy is about to get in the ring when Punk quickly rebounds off of the ropes and hits a suicide dive to the outside. Punk then quickly gets to his feet and efficiently rolls Kennedy back in the ring. Punk waits for Kennedy to get to his feet before hitting him with a perfect dropkick with a lot of elevation. Kennedy is now leaned against the ropes. Kennedy comes back out in to the action quickly but Punk hits a Shining Wizard, which nearly knocks Kennedy out. Punk lays on Kennedy for the cover,

NO! Kennedy kicks out as Punk shakes his head in frustration. He wants to end this once and for all so goes over to one of the turnbuckles and smashes Kennedy’s head right in to the turnbuckle. Punk then slowly climbs up to the top rope, with Kennedy in tow. Punk lands a few punches, to the ribs of Kennedy, to further weaken him. Kennedy retaliates with a few shots of his own but he is no match for several of Punk’s headbutts, Kennedy is left reeling but still placed firmly on the top rope. Kennedy and Punk grapple in a precarious area on the top rope, they trade blows as both men teeter on the edge. The edge of winning and losing, everything is at stake as both men go at it with fists flying everywhere but finally Punk gets the upper hand when Kennedy slips, catching his legs in between the ropes. Punk then raises Kennedy on his shoulders and wants to his the Go To Sleep on the top rope! Kennedy wriggles out of the hold and still manages to keep his feet on the top rope, Kennedy gets Punk on his shoulders now and doesn’t hesitate to hit the Green Bay Plunge from the top rope! Kennedy lays one hand over the fallen Punk after a few seconds…. The referee then starts to count; the pinfall has to be academic.

Kennedy then climbs to the top rope and takes a deep breath, he then leaps through the air with the Kenton Bomb but at the very last second Punk moves out of the way! The crowd are willing Punk to get up, he slowly gets to his feet but Kennedy’s isn’t far behind him. Kennedy chops the chest of Punk and goes for a massive clothesline but Punk ducks the move and places Kennedy on to his shoulders, Punk drops the hammer and hits the Go To Sleep! The crowd boo but they wait patiently for the 3rd and final fall. MVP tries to hightail it out of the building but Teddy Long’s music blares out and MVP is stopped in his tracks. T-lo then says that the first 2 falls weren’t worthy of The Great American Bash and the American Public and that the match would be restarted immediately, under HARDCORE RULES! MVP is going absolutely berserk as Matt Hardy smirks knowing he can win this. Hardy grabs MVP by his hair and forces him over to the ring. Hardy then smashes MVP’s nose in to the steel steps. Hardy then pulls out a trash can and a 20 foot ladder! MVP hits an axe handle to the back of Matt Hardy, forcing him to keel over. MVP then decides to sprint out of the arena again but Hardy soon springs to his feet and chases after MVP, who slips over, much to the jest of this crowd. Matt Hardy then attempts a Twist of Fate on the stage to MVP but MVP reverses the move and drops Matt Hardy on his back. MVP then decides to go back to the ring and pulls out an array of weapons, including stop signs, fire extinguishers, a chair and a table! The crowd are on their feet as MVP as a chair in his hand and walks over to Matt Hardy, who bravely stands face to face with MVP. MVP swings the chair rather weakly and Matt Hardy easily ducks, Matt Hardy then pushes MVP over and the chair falls out of MVP’s hand. Hardy then forces MVP over to the crowd’s barricaded area. Matt Hardy decks MVP with a massive clothesline, sending him leaning against the steel barricade. MVP then tries to move but is caught with a running bulldog on to the arena floor. Hardy then picks MVP up but MVP sneakily low blows Matt Hardy and Irish whips Matt Hardy face first in to the steel pole. MVP then lifts Hardy up and hits a body slam, face first, smacking Hardy’s face off of the canvas. MVP laughs as he rolls Matt Hardy back in the ring. MVP then starts kicking the downed contender, he then screams V-1! MVP then goes up to the top rope and attempts Matt Hardy’s famous leg drop, Hardy taunt and all but Hardy leaps to his feet. MVP changes his plan and leaps off of the ropes and knocks Hardy aside with a massive spinning kick. MVP then goes outside to fetch the chair. He starts laughing again as he throws the steel chair in to the ring and opens it up. MVP signals he is going to piledrive Matt Hardy on to the folded out chair. Hardy crawls over to MVP, the crowd are shouting at Hardy, telling him not to go near MVP but he doesn’t listen. MVP sets Hardy up for the piledriver but it seems he was playing possum all along and he back drops MVP face first in to the folded out chair. MVP has his head stuck in the chair as the crowd laugh. Hardy then hits one of the most hardcore moves he has ever done, and that is saying something. He grabs MVP by the neck and in to a reverse face lock, he then slams MVP down to the mat with a reverse DDT! The crowd are in shock as Matt Hardy covers MVP but the referee refuses to count while the chair is still on MVP’s head. Matt Hardy reluctantly let the officials take the chair off of MVP’s head and by the time Matt Hardy goes for the cover, there is not enough time to go for the pinfall; he does anyway and puts a hand over MVP’s chest. MVP is breathing heavily.

Matt Hardy almost feels sorry for him as MVP points at the chair but Hardy is not deterred and gets on with the job, he is about to clock MVP around the face with the Stop sign but MVP hits a drop toehold in to the folded up chair. MVP then shouts ‘I’m the man!’ Hardy’s head is entombed in the folded up steel chair, just as MVP barely minutes before! Hardy stumbles and leans against the ropes as he stands up but MVP has no remorse and simply kicks Hardy in the gut and hits a massive face breaker which busts Matt Hardy completely open! MVP does his little dance and goes for the cover,

Hardy gets a shoulder up. ‘The man who never Dies’ certainly doesn’t give up easy, in what was possibly worse than the move Hardy hit on MVP minutes earlier. MVP now brings in the garbage can, ladder and table. MVP contemplated what he is going to use first and he decides for the garbage can, despite the fans efforts for him to choose one of the grislier options. Hardy clowly gets up to his feet and stares at MVP with menace, who stares back. Hardy hits a low blow out of nowhere, MVP winces in pain and crumples to the floor as Hardy stands up defiantly and takes the garbage can away from MVP. Hardy then clocks MVP around the head with it, severely denting the garbage can and the garbage in MVP’s big head. Hardy places the garbage can between the ropes and hoists MVP up on to his feet. Without resistance Hardy then places his leg behind MVP’s and hits a Russian Leg Sweep, straight on to the garbage can, busting MVP open now! MVP holds his face in agony as Hardy screeches to his fans. MVP rolls out of the ring, still in a bad way after that move. He picks something up from the under the apron, Hardy is completely unaware as he picks up a seemingly fallen MVP. MVP smashes Hardy around the head with BRASS KNUCKLES which must have been left there by William Regal earlier. MVP smirks yet again as he picks out another chair from under the ring and looks to be doing some serious damage to the face of Matt Hardy. MVP then drops the chair and looks over to where he dropped the fire extinguisher earlier. MVP then slowly walks over to the fire extinguisher and picks it up, with a big heave he throws it in the ring. MVP then walks over to Matt Hardy. He lifts Hardy up and throws him like a rag doll in to the ring. MVP stops the fire extinguisher from rolling and places it in a certain area. Matt Hardy finally gets to his feet and starts punching MVP’s abdomen but this doesn’t really affect MVP at all who simply picks Hardy up off of his feet and lifts Hardy in the air but Hardy uses his momentum to stop the move and go back down to the mat but MVP, with the more substantial weight difference to Hardy, shifts his weight and hits an overhead belly to back suplex, smashing Hardy’s back right on the fire extinguisher. Hardy is wailing in agony, and rightfully so as that would take any person in the world off of their game. MVP then falls down on Hardy for the seemingly imminent cover.

Hardy gets a shoulder up as MVP’s eyes widen. This face then turns to anger and despair as MVP takes it out on the referee by pushing him out of the way and going to the corner to fetch the 20 foot ladder. The referee gets back up off of his feet and starts yelling at MVP but MVP yells back saying ‘I can do what I like’ there is no arguing with that logic as MVP sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring. He then sets up the table. MVP has second thoughts and puts the table in a corner and a ladder in the corner opposite it. Hardy, who is using the ropes, just about gets to his feet but collapses again in agony, MVP has Matt Hardy right where he wants him and he is going to take a lot of stopping now and Matt Hardy knows it. MVP then lifts Matt Hardy up to a vertical base before knocking Hardy over again with a monster uppercut followed by a few sly stamps on the wrist and fingers of the former Tag Team Champion. MVP then lifts Hardy up before Irish whipping a seemingly barren Hardy towards the ladder, MVP then proceeds to sprint up to Hardy for the Player’s Boot but Matt Hardy jumps OVER the ladder and hits a moonsault, catching MVP out and putting him in to a pinning predicament.

MVP kicks out, with force. MVP then starts to rally up and kick Hardy in the shins, temporarily forcing him out of the match while MVP mounts a comeback by slamming Matt Hardy down to the mat with extreme force with a massive clothesline. MVP then rolls out of the ring and pulls out yet another steel chair as Matt Hardy slowly gets to his feet. MVP waits patiently for Hardy to stand up and, as certain as Jose Mourinho was a great manager, MVP is certain this hit will finish the match as he swings back with malicious intent before bringing the chair forward to impact off of the skull of Hardy who is seemingly knocked out. MVP then goes for the cover,

Hardy gets the SHOULDER UP! Hardy somehow kicked out and I don’t think anyone in the arena, not even a screaming Michael Cole knows how that happened. MVP knows he needs something special to put MVP away so he briskly walks over to the corner and gets the wooden table, in the meantime he also unbuckles a turnbuckle pad, he then sets up the wooden table near the corner of the ring. He easily scoops Hardy off of his feet and goes for a side slam but Hardy gets his legs up and goes for the legs scissors, which connects and lands MVP on the table but he doesn’t go through it! Matt Hardy looks up to the top rope and checks his distances before looking over to the fans and checking what they want. They obviously want Hardy to go up to the top rope so he obliges. Hardy turns his back to the table and then flips backwards and aims for the moonsault on the table which connects! The crowd are in awe of that magnificent move which will be used for don’t try this at home videos several times over after MVP’s neck was jerked back in the impact. The referee checks on MVP who seems OK to continue with the match. That move may have done it but MVP is still twitching and Hardy wants to put Hardy away completely so he does the only thing he should do in this situation; he sets up a ladder. MVP somehow gets to his feet with a burst of adrenaline and starts to groggily climb the ladder with Matt Hardy who still doesn’t know how the hell that happened. Hardy and MVP both scale the opposite sides of the ladder. They both reach the top and start trading punches 20 feet above the ring! MVP totters but gets back in the fight with a poke in Hardy’s eye. Hardy thinks enough is enough and grabs the neck of MVP and hits the Side Effect from 20 feet in the air all the way down! The crowd are chanting ‘HOLY SHIT’ and ‘THIS IS AWESOME’ but both men aren’t moving in the middle of the ring, not even slightly. The referee then starts counting to 10.

He is closely followed by MVP who grabs Hardy by the neck and turns him around and Irish whips him towards the corner and trips him up in to the exposed turnbuckle. After all that punishment it seems that move has finally taking its toll on Hardy. MVP cheekily rolls up Hardy, getting a fistful of tights in the process.

Chimel: The winner of this match, and still United States Champion, MVP!

MVP starts to congratulate the crowd before cockily walking up the ramp shouting ‘I’m the best’ the crowd start booing him ferociously but cheer when Matt Hardy valiantly gets to his feet.

Cole: WOW! Matt Hardy became United States Champion but lost it 15 seconds later; surely the shortest United States Championship reign of all time?

J.B.L: Once again, my man MVP was on top form. He rose up through injustice after Teddy Long made that hardcore match after he fairly won the title but he still managed to retain in that bloodbath.

Cole: Hold on a minute, I have breaking news that none other than WWE Champion John Cena is in the building and he is standing next to Josh Matthews.

*The camera cuts to Cena standing Matthews*

Josh: John, why are you here tonight at a Smackdown only Pay per View?

Cena: Well, Josh, I got an invitation from T-Lo to check out this crib tonight and I’m sure you’ve heard of a little thing called Saturday Night’s Main Event?

*Matthews nods his head*

Cena: Well the main event at Madison Square Garden is none other than me against the winner of the World Heavyweight title match here tonight.

*Massive Pop*

Cena: I’m just here scouting my opposition for that match in 2 weeks and if things get a little hand, I have permission to step in.

*Pop*

Cena: Whether either man breaks a rule they will feel a little pain, courtesy of the Champ! At Saturday Night’s Main Event and against Randy Orton at Summerslam the Champ will still be here and no-one can stop me from being who I am, a world champion! So the Undertaker and a man I have had a lot of history with, Edge, will have to be on the lookout tonight because I may get a little impatient and want some physical fighting tonight!

*The crowd pops at the prospect of Cena interfering in the World Title match later on*

Match 6- Elimination Handicap match:
The New Breed (Striker, Brown and Burke) vs. Kane and Batista for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship!

RECAP:
We are a few minutes in to this match as Brown is in the ring with Kane. The remaining members of the New Breed are at ringside. Kane grapples with Brown before getting the upper hand and getting Brown in a front face lock. Kane then goes for the suplex but Brown manages to power out of it before punching Kane in the gut and flattening him with a massive kick. Brown then looks towards his team mates who look reluctant to go in to the ring. Brown goes to lift Kane up but Kane hits Brown with a massive right hook which sends Brown reeling in the corner. Kane then runs at Brown and hits him with a massive running knee. Kane then throws Brown on the floor and steps up to the top rope. Kane looks like he is about to soar through the air but Burke pushes Kane off of the top rope as he falls 10 feet out to the arena floor! Burke and Striker start laughing at Kane until they notice the man behind them; Batista. Their laughter soon turns to frowns and agony as Batista takes Striker and Burke down with a massive double clothesline before taking down Brown with a massive shoulder charge in to the steel pole, leaving Brown in agony. Kane is now on his feet and nods at Batista. Kane then picks Brown up and Irish whips him back in the ring. Kane then climbs the top rope, very slowly, once again. Batista is guarding him now. Kane then waits for Brown to groggily get on his feet, which, after a few seconds, he does. Kane then soars through the air and hits a clothesline on Brown. Kane then puts a hand over the chest of Brown for the cover.

Brown kicks out and tries to get away but Kane grabs his leg and pulls him over to the corner. Kane then forces Brown in to the corner and gets his enormous boot and shoves it in Brown’s face before tagging in Batista to a tremendous pop. Batista then smirks at Brown before hitting him with a shoulder block, he backs away and hits another one. He goes back even further now and is about to spear the holy hell out of Brown but Brown sidesteps. Batista goes shoulder first in to the steel pole. Brown then hits the POOOOUUUUUNCCCCCEEEEE, period. On Kane, who is caught completely off guard by that ravenous attack. Brown and Striker are laughing in the corner. Brown, who is visibly exhausted, tags in an unsuspecting Burke who has the smile wiped off of his face. Burke then kicks Batista in the back. Batista is left unfazed and lifts Burke up and hoists him in the air with a one arm suplex before converting it in to a powerslam, right in to the corner next to Kane. Batista then quickly tags in Kane who now has Burke in the Tree of Woe. Burke is feverishly trying to undo himself from the ropes. Kane sprints up at the corner and smashes Burke’s face in with a swift kick and a low sliding kick. Burks is still in the ropes so Kane decides to finish this once and for all so he goes back a few inches and then runs full speed at Burke, going for the big boot but Burke was playing possum for a few seconds and gets out of his tricky predicament. Kane’s foot is now stuck near the steel pole so Burke lands a massive uppercut to Kane before slowly lifting up his legs and hitting a modified slam, using the legs. Burke then punts Kane in the legs and stamps on them before the referee tells him to back off but Burke doesn’t really listen and stamps on Kane’s fingers one more time before lifting him up on to his feet. Burke then grabs the neck of Burke but instead of hitting a move he pokes the eyes of Kane, sending him backwards. Burke then hooks the neck of Kane and hits a Swinging Neckbreaker.

Kane kicks out! Burke calmly gets to his feet and waits for Kane to get to his feet, he is still rather hurt. Kane then gets back up to his feet and stares Burke down. He is not deterred because he knows all of this is for a title shot. Burke then runs at Kane with his feet raised but Kane manages to catch the left foot of Burke. Burke thinks quickly and hits Kane with a massive enziguiri. Burke thinks he has this pinfall all wrapped up but Kane sits up! Burke and the crowd can’t believe it but Burke goes back on the offense as soon as Kane gets back up to his feet. Kane then clasps the throat of a running Burke, who was going for a running knee. Burke is stopped right in his tracks and is about to taste a little chokeslam when Matt Striker comes in to the ring and clips the knee of Kane, forcing him to collapse to the mat. Kane walks over to tag Batista. Batista then leaps in to the ring and hits Brown with a spear. Batista then Irish whips Brown over to his New Breed team mates, knocking Striker off of the apron. The referee then informs Striker he was inadvertently tagged in. Striker reluctantly steps in to the ring as his New Breed team mates back off. Striker lands in a few punches to his credit but nothing to affect Batista. Striker is about to hightail it out of the ring when Batista catches him by the scruff of the neck. Batista then turns around Striker and spinebusters him! Batista then puts his thumbs up, then down, he is signaling for the Batista Bomb! Striker turns around and is put in the powerbomb position. Striker is then raised in the air and brought back down to Earth with a massive Batista Bomb. Kane guards as Batista goes for the cover,

Batista is going to the Summerslam main event against the World Heavyweight Champion!
Batista gets on his feet as Elijah Burke is forced in to the match. Burke quickly tags in Brown who is actually able to hold his own against the Animal. Batista and Brown grapple in the middle of the ring. Brown kicks the legs of Batista, sending him to a kneeling position. Brown then takes Batista down with a running block as soon as Batista got back on his feet. Batista is now lying down in agony and holding his face as Brown just laughs in the corner. Brown is getting ready for the Pounce. Batista wearily gets to his feet and as soon as he turns around Brown charges at him like a bull. Batista JUST manages to sidestep the move and Brown goes charging in to a corner but manages to stop just in time. Batista now is placed behind Brown. Batista hoists Brown on to the turnbuckle and quickly hoists Brown on to his head with Brown barely noticing what went on. Brown is then hit with the Electric Chair drop and the subsequent cover.

Brown manages to kick out. Brown tries to get over to Burke but Batista just won’t let him. Brown is three quarters of the way across the ring when Batista grabs one of his legs. Brown retaliates by kicking out at Batista, which relinquishes Batista’s grip on Brown and sends him flying half way across the ring. Brown then tags in Burke who starts immediately kicking and punching the former World Champion. Batista gets to his feet and shakes his head before hitting a massive spinebuster on Burke. Burke is now completely out of this as he lies prone in the ring. Kane is then tagged in by Batista. Out of nowhere Burke hits Kane with a trademark left hook, sending him in to the corner. Kane’s back is turned as Burke sprints at him with both knees raised and hits the Elijah Express, much to the crowd’s dismay. Burke then rolls Kane up,

Batista gets in and breaks up the count before quickly returning to his side of the ring. Kane then sits up and breathes heavily. Burke then looks on with a scared grimace. Kane then raises his head and smiles sadistically at Burke who completely freaks out. Burke is about to go for the Elijah Express again but Kane stands in the middle of the ring and raises his arms and fire shoots out from 2 corners of the ring that are not occupied by wrestlers. Burke is shitting himself and tries to back away but Kane taps him on the back and as Burke turns around Kane hits him with a body slam. Kane then grabs the throat of Burke and it looks to be the end of Burke in this match when he gets down on to his knees and punches Kane and connects with a low blow!
Burke is disqualified by the referee.
Brown is now left on his own but suddenly Matt Striker comes down to the ring, chair in hand. Burke then gets a chain from under the ring as the action continues in the ring. Kane Irish whips Brown who collides with the referee! This gives just enough time for Burke and Striker to sneak in the ring. Striker smashes Batista in the head with a chair several times, totalling around 9. Batista finally goes down after getting whipped with a chain by Burke. Burke then turns his attention to Kane. Burke puts the chain around Kane’s throat and screams ‘How do you like it?’ Kane is then choked continually by Burke. Eventually Kane gets down on his knees before Elijah lifts him back up again and connects with the Elijah Express! Striker and Burke then roll Batista out of the ring and make sure he doesn’t get up or get in the ring. Burke then gets the referee up on his feet. Brown then waits patiently for Kane in the corner. Kane just about gets to his feet but in an instant Kane is swept off of his feet BY THE POOOUUUNNNNCCEEEE. Burke then hooks the leg of Kane and counts with the referee for the cover,

Burke is going to the Smackdown main event with Batista! The result of the match really is irrelevant now as the two muscular men go face to face in the ring (after the New Breed swiftly and sneakily rolled Batista back in the ring.) Batista then fades to the ground as Brown starts kicking him in the chest. Brown then goes for a massive punt to the face of Batista but somehow Batista clenches on to Brown’s foot and tips Brown on to his backside by flipping him over. Brown then goes away from the action and as Batista gets to his feet Brown goes for a clothesline. This knocks Batista back but he rebounds off the rope. The next move seemed to defy the laws of physics as Brown lifts Batista OFF OF HIS FEET and plants him with a thunderous spinebuster. The New Breed and Kane have now been cleared out of the ringside area as Brown pants and walks over to the corner, using the ropes to help him reach a vertical base. Brown is calling for the POUNCE but Batista doesn’t seem to want to get on his feet. Finally, Batista has no choice but to get to his feet. Brown charges at Batista but Batista shows amazing agility next to the turnbuckle to dive out of the way. Brown’s face collides with the turnbuckle pad and is easy prey for Batista to HIT THE BATISTA BOMB on tired Brown for the imminent cover,

Chimel: The winners of this match are Kane and Batista!

Batista stands alone in the ring triumphantly as Kane just stares on in despair. The New Breed walks away, uttering threats to Kane and Batista as they walk up the ramp.

Cole: What a match, it had everything, twists and turns and anybody could have won the match in the end.

J.B.L: More importantly we have 2 new contenders for the World Heavyweight Championship, Batista and Monty Brown. Whoever they are going to face, it is sure to be a hell of a match. Summerslam is going to be huge Michael! Coming up next we have the main event, Edge vs. The Undertaker for the first time ever on Pay Per View! It should be one hell of a main event to top off this wonderful evening. But now we have none other than the United States Champion, MVP standing next to Josh Matthews.

*The camera cuts to Josh Matthews standing beside a sweaty MVP*

Matthews: MVP, tonight you did the unthinkable, you beat Matt Hardy at his own game.

MVP: No Josh, what I did tonight was beat up a washed up has been who is well past his prime. I’ll admit the first pinfall was lucky, what actually happened was my leg gave way so I was unable to kick out, I am much better now but there is someone I have real beef with, and that man is Teddy Long. Since day one he has but me in impossible situations and I am still the United States Champion, there is no way in hell I am dropping this title to anyone but I do want a shot at that World Heavyweight Title and that is what I am going to get in the near future, now get of my way, I have autographs to sign.

*MVP walks away to massive jeers from this rowdy crowd*
