Following Smackdown that aired last night, it emerged that over the next several weeks, potential candidates to become the new General Manager of Smackdown will get a chance to take control of the show for a week. Stephanie McMahon made the announcement as she took the reigns last night and also stated that until the end of the year, Raw and Smackdown are under “Open House” rules, which means that any superstar can switch brand if they wish. Stephanie did stress that this does not mean that anyone can just show up one both shows and that they can only turn up by switching brands.
It also emerged last night that The Great Khali has suffered a fairly serious back injury as a result of the Punjabi Prison match at No Mercy. Stephanie McMahon advised Batista that Khali will be out for at least six months. Also at the end of Batista's match with Chris Masters, we saw a video displayed on the titan tron, telling us that Edge will be returning very soon. Maybe, Batista is in sight for the undefeated former World Heavyweight Champion.
