Default Re: The Dark Knight' Official Discussion Thread

The first full trailer for TDK should be hitting theaters pretty soon -- like "December-ish" -- so the industry scuttlebutt indicates. It's been whispered that the best bet for the trailer is for it to be attached to I AM LEGEND (December 14th) -- which just so happens to be a Warner Bros. film. Also, we were told that there's a chance that it could premiere online via TDK's viral marketing campaign as the teaser was released last summer (July at Comic Con).

THE LONDON PAPER is reporting that an explosion took place at the Battersea Power Station that was part of the UK TDK shoot.

Here's a blurb from the article: "The spectacular stunt scene, in which Batman actor Christian Bale narrowly cheats death, is believed to be the opening sequence of the fifth caped crusader movie 'The Dark Knight.'"

Uh, it's the 6th BATMAN -- the Warner Bros. films, that is -- and the 2nd of the new series. Looks to be a cool part of the film. They sure seem to be blowing up a lot of stuff!

I know this will probably come across as a “I’ve heard that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow” sort of post, OK? Anyway, I’ve heard that Warner Bros. may be kicking up the marketing for THE DARK KNIGHT -- beginning with the release of a one sheet pretty soon. I wasn’t privy to what it looks like, but I was told that it ISN’T simply that Bat-Logo exploding image that’s on the official site.
