Hammerstein Ballroom
Event Music: "Face to Face" by Sevendust
Styles: Welcome! Ladies and Gentlemen to Evolution Pro Wrestling’s FIRST EVER PAY PER VIEW! We are LIVE from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, my name is Joey Styles and joining me at ringside for this very special night, is Kevin Nash!
Nash: Big Sexy in a da house! And Styles, what a show we’ve got tonight for our first Pay Per View! The final of the World Title Tournament to crown our first EPW World Champion with Edge, Chris Benoit and the War Machine, Rhino, battling it out in an Elimination Triple Threat match!
Styles: Don’t forget we’ve got what is set to be an epic, but brutal, Last Man Standing match on the card between Samoa Joe and Chris Jericho!
Nash: We’ve also got ourselves a Number 1 contenders match between Christian Cage and Brock Lesnar, as well as a Ladder match featuring Homicide and Hernandez of the Latin American Exchange and the Worlds Greatest Tag Team’s, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, which will determine the inaugural EPW Tag Team Champions!
Styles: I can’t wait Nash, I’m ready, you’re ready, this is going to be a huge night! Let’s get it started!
**MISERIA CANTARE hits to a massive ovation as CM Punk makes his way out for his triple threat match against Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson for the Pacific Title. Punk makes his typically swift entrance down the aisle, before climbing the steps and then climbing the turnbuckle, taunting the crowd. Once in the middle of the ring he taunts the crowd once more before pausing a moment to take in the huge “CM PUNK” chant which has now broken out**
Styles: Looks like we’re kicking things off with the Triple Threat match for the Pacific Title!
Nash: What a waste! Out of Exile starts with the most over rated damn wrestler on our roster!
Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your first match for the evening and it is a standard triple threat match for the EPW Pacific Championship, where the first man to gain a pinfall or submission will be the winner! Introducing first, in the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, this, is, C…M…PUNK!
**The huge chants for CM Punk continue as he is apparently the clear cut crowd favourite for this one until FINAL COUNTDOWN hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way out to huge boos and jeers from the Hammerstein Ballroom. Danielson typically doesn’t acknowledge that crowd at all, making his way down the aisle arrogantly, keeping his eyes locked on CM Punk at all times. Instead of entering the ring himself, he makes his way around to the side of the ring and stays on the outside, awaiting the arrival of the last competitor, Austin Aries**
Artes: Introducing the opponents, first, from Aberdeen, Washington, weighing in at 190 pounds…The American Dragon, BRYAN DANIELSON!
Styles: Bryan Danielsons actions over the past few weeks have definitely been questionable. The situation between Austin Aries and himself has been brewing since the second episode of Enslaved, and I can guarantee you, that no matter who wins tonight, the issue between these two, is far from over!
Nash: The American Dragon has shown he’s not gonna be intimidated by anyone, he’s the clear cut favourite here tonight, and you can bet your ass he’s not gonna back down from CM Punk and he’s definitely not gonna back down from Bryan Danielson!
**Punk stares down at Danielson on the outside, until PERSONAL JESUS hits to a good reaction, although not as deafening as Punk’s and Danielson’s fierce rival, Austin Aries makes his way to the ring in a positive and upbeat fashion. Aries slides into the ring and makes eye contact with CM Punk before giving him a small nod, as he has no real personal beef with either of the men, he was just thrust into the Title match**
Styles: Austin Aries looks quite confident, but it’s definitely not going to be an easy task with both CM Punk and the self proclaimed “Best Wrestler in the World” Bryan Danielson gunning for the same title.
Artes: And from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 202 pounds, AUSTIIIIIIIIIIIIN ARIIIIIIIIIIIIIES!

Match 1
EPW Pacific Championship
Triple Threat Match
Bryan Danielson v CM Punk v Austin Aries
The referee calls for the bell as the Pacific Championship match starts out with the raucous “CM Punk” chants starting up again, before Bryan Danielson slides under the bottom rope cautiously and makes his way into the ring to join both Punk and Austin Aries. With all three competitors situated in the ring, they all start to circle the ring slowly, taking each other in and eyeing each other off as they all know what to expect of each other thanks to their vast backgrounds competing against each other in the Indies. After the three have all done two full 360 degree circles of the ring, CM Punk is the first to make a move as he steps toward the middle of the ring and surprisingly offers a test of strength, not just to one, but both of his opponents. Austin Aries accepts one of Punk’s hands, whilst Danielson begrudgingly accepts the other. Aries then offers his remaining hand to the American Dragon, which he accepts as well and the three combatants are locked up in an extremely awkward looking three-way test of strength. The men remain locked together, vying for position with none of them gaining any real advantage nor is the test of strength seeming to prove that any of the men has a real advantage, when suddenly Punk gives brief glance at Austin Aries and they release their lock on each other, whilst keeping their hands locked with Bryan Danielson, before they pull him in and deliver a Fisherman’s Suplex out of no where, but the move has little effect on Danielson and after clutching at his back momentarily he gets back to feet only to be grasped by both Aries and Punk, who whip him straight into the ropes and as he bounces off he gets grounded again by double back elbows from the duo of Austin Aries and CM Punk.
Danielson is down for what is already the second time in the match despite it only being in its early stages. He clutches at his forehead briefly before making it back to his feet to be met by both CM Punk and Austin Aries, yet again. The tandem whip Danielson against the ropes once more, and he bounces off but this time he ducks under an attempt at a double clothesline from both his opponents before charging at the adjacent ropes, flying off the middle rope and hitting a springboard crossbody to both Punk and Aries grounding them on the canvas which he then follows with the first cover of the match and the Pay Per View on his fierce rival Austin Aries…

NO! ARIES KICKS OUT BEFORE THE REFEREE CAN EVEN COUNT TWO!
Danielson isn’t phased by the kick-out and he goes straight after Aries again. He brings him back to his feet, before striking him with two hard rights and whipping him against the ropes. Just when Danielson goes to set himself for Aries to bounce off, Punk catches him off guard with a school boy roll up!

With Punk down wrenching at his back, Aries stomps away at Danielson before assisting him back to his vertical base and applying a side headlock, but the American Dragon manages to push him off and into the ropes, as he shoots back Danielson takes him down with a perfectly executed standing dropkick! Danielson gets back to his feet instantly, but he is immediately confronted by CM Punk, who goes after him with some hard rights before Irish Whipping him hard into the corner and delivering a Charging High Knee, collecting Bryan Danielson right under the chin! As Danielson stumbles out of the corner, Punk continues the assault planting him with a Bulldog, as the crowd pop enthusiastically in support of their favourite! Punk rolls Danielson onto his back before attempting to pick up the win…

Punk climbs back to his feet, looking a little frustrated, when he turns and notices that Austin Aries is starting to climb back to his feet with his back to both his opponents and is currently sat up on one knee, when Punk suddenly charges across the ring and connects with a huge SHINING WIZARD much to the surprise of the crowd, who once again pop loudly in appreciation for CM Punk, as they begin to chant his name loudly once more, whilst Punk himself goes for the cover…

NO! ARIES KICKS OUT THIS TIME!
The crowd cheer ecstatically knowing that Danielson won’t pick up the victory…just yet. Danielson reefs Aries back to his feet and immediately throws him headfirst through the middle rope and down to the outside.
Austin Aries crashes hard to the floor as Danielson turns his attention back to CM Punk who is just about back on his feet now, albeit very shakily. Danielson charges at Punk, but he catches him off guard with an arm drag as Danielson crashes to the canvas, but he is straight back up and charges at Punk again who brings him down with a second consecutive arm drag. Dragon makes his way up a little slower this time and when he gets back on his feet, the biggest man in the match, Punk, is there to meet him, the two lock up in a collar elbow tie up, with neither man gaining an advantage, until Danielson manages to shift his weight and gain the upper hand, as he manages to shift himself around behind the back of Punk before locking his arms around his waist, looking to deliver a German Suplex, but Punk puts up some resistance before bringing Danielson over his shoulder with a Snapmere and delivering a devastating low drop kick to the back of his head! The crowd roar in appreciation once again, as Punk goes for the cover…

NO! Danielson kicks out again.
Punk brings Danielson back to his feet, before Irish Whipping him into the turnbuckle again. He then charges at him and delivers a second charging high knee to Danielson! Knowing that Aries is still down on the outside, Punk doesn’t follow up the high knee with a Bulldog as usual, instead he bounces off the ropes, dashes across the ring in its entirety and flies through the second rope with a daring SUICIDE DIVE ON TO AUSTIN ARIES ON THE OUTSIDE WHO WAS JUST STARTING TO GET BACK TO HIS FEET!!!
Another CM Punk chant erupts loudly in the ballroom, as he makes it back to his feet again and slides back into the ring. Bryan Danielson climbs back to his vertical base to meet CM Punk, who immediately goes for a Clothesline, but Danielson ducks under it and manages to lock his arms around Punk’s waist from behind and is able to deliver a German Suplex this time! Punk clutches at his back in pain, as Danielson taunts the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd arrogantly which infuriates them as they inundate the American Dragon with boos and jeers. Punk climbs back to his feet slowly, whilst Dragon is taunting the crowd, but Danielson turns around at the right time and just when Punk makes it back to his feet, he charges at him and takes him down again with a running big boot! Danielson then seizes the opportunity with Aries still down on the outside to go for the cover…

Danielson punches the mat in frustration before mounting on top of CM Punk and punching away at him continuously. Danielson stands up directly over Punk now, and continues the assault, stomping away at his head and shoulder region before bringing him back to his feet and whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back, Danielson drops him to the mat again with a ROARING ELBOW! Danielson hammers away at the grounded Punk some more, before he heads to the closest corner and ascends the turnbuckle, presumably looking for a Diving Headbutt, just when he looks set to leap off, Austin Aries suddenly climbs up on the apron and pushes Danielson off the turnbuckle and into the ring, as the crowd applaud in satisfaction. Aries then climbs the turnbuckle himself, looking suitably rested and flies off, delivering a huge FROG SPLASH TO BRYAN DANIELSON! Aries then attempts to pick up the pinfall…

Aries climbs back to his vertical base, and looks to head towards the turnbuckle, but CM Punk suddenly gets a grasp on him from behind and delivers a Belly to Back Suplex, grounding Austin Aries once more whilst the crowd cheer in appreciation that Punk is back up. The Ballroom goes absolutely nuts in unison with seeing the hold get locked in as Punk keeps the hold locked in tightly, as Danielson struggles and looks to break free BUT AUSTIN ARIES CLIMBS BACK TO HIS FEET AND BREAKS IT UP WITH A VICIOUS STOMP TO THE HEAD OF CM PUNK!!! The crowd reacts indifferently towards Aries as he brings Punk back to his feet and Irish Whips into the opposing corner. With Punk sat up in the corner, Aries charges at him and looks to hit a running corner dropkick but he moves out of the way the last minute and Aries collides with the turnbuckle in mid-air. Punk quickly wrenches the arm of Austin Aries and brings him back to his feet, before delivering a mule kick which plants Aries yet again. Danielson argues with the referee that it was indeed three, when swiftly, Aries catches him from behind and plants him face first with a running bulldog! Aries situates himself behind Danielson, as he slowly climbs back to his feet, when he makes it back up, Aries wraps an arm around the waist of the American Dragon and DELIVERS A LEG HOOK SAITO SUPLEX!!! Danielson and Punk are both grounded now, with Aries the only man standing in the ring, as he hurriedly brings Danielson back to his feet, seemingly keen to act before CM Punk can make any sort of impact. Aries whips Danielson into the ropes, and as he shoots back, Aries manages to leapfrog over the top of Dragon and he bounces off the adjacent ropes as well but this time Aries meets him with a hard kick to the midsection before locking in a front facelock, hoisting him up and delivering a BRAINBUSTER! Aries neglects to go for the cover and instead climbs the nearest turnbuckle, before flying off and delivering the 450 SPLASH!!!! Aries can’t believe it as Punk pulls him back to his feet by his arm before whipping him into the ropes, as he bounces back, Punk manages to hoist him up into a Fireman’s Carry momentarily before he drops Aries out in front of him and cracks his knee into the face of Austin Aries, delivering A DEVESTATING GTS! GO TO SLEEP!!! Punk then circles the ring, pumping up the crowd a little before standing Bryan Danielson back on his vertical base, delivering four hard martial arts chops, followed by a spinning reverse slap which has him leant up against the ropes, he then delivers a roundhouse kick to the side of the head of the American Dragon, sending him over the top rope and crashing to the floor on the outside. Punk directs his attention back to Austin Aries who is starting to stir, he stalks him from behind with his arms spread out wide as Aries makes his way up slowly, as soon as he makes it back to his feet, he turns into a huge URA-NAGE SLAM!!
Punk picks him from the mat immediately and Irish whips him into the corner before charging across the ring and delivering another charging high knee to Austin Aries! Punk then situates himself on the middle ropes as Aries stumbles out of the corner but Punk stops him in his tracks before setting him up and scoring with the patented PEPSI PLUNGE!!!! The crowd pops loudly once more as they begin to chant Punk’s name once more though instead of making the cover, Punk locks in the ANACONDA VICE ON AUSTIN ARIES!!!!!!!
Aries fights the hold for around ten seconds and just when it looks like he’ll be tapping out, Bryan Danielson slides back into the ring and attempts to break up the submission hold with a baseball slide but Punk sees it coming and releases it early instead causing Danielson’s baseball slide to kick ARIES STIFF IN THE FACE sending him down to the floor on the outside!!
Danielson makes it back to his feet, and as soon as he does CM Punk underhooks his arms and delivers THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK BACK BREAKER AS PUNK SCREAMS WELCOME TO CHICAGO MOTHERFUCKER WITH THE CROWD GOING CRAZY IN THE BACK GROUND!!!!!
The crowd continue their elatedness knowing this time knowing that nothing can stop Punk here other than a super human effort from Danielson. With the American Dragon down, Punk LOCKS IN THE ANACONDA VICE FOR THE SECOND TIME WITH NO HESITATION!!!!!!!

Winner & FIRST EVER EPW PACIFIC CHAMPION: CM Punk @ 13:32
Artes: Here is your winner, and FIRST EVER, Evolution Pro Wrestling Pacific Champion…C…M…PUNK!!!
Styles: He’s done it! CM Punk has done it!!! We have our first ever Pacific Champion, and I couldn’t think of anyone better!
Nash: I sure as hell could but credit where it’s due, Punk, along with Aries and Danielson, put on a hell of a match!
**MISERIA CANTARE hits to a massive ovation as the referee hands CM Punk the Pacific Title, which he gleefully accepts before ascending a turnbuckle and showing off his newly won title for the crowd. He then climbs down from the turnbuckle and turns around to see a visibly broken Austin Aries, who then offers his hand which after a moment, CM Punk accepts to a large applause from the crowd**
Styles: What an ending. Austin Aries showing real sportsmanship, it’s a shame we won’t see the same from Bryan Danielson.
Nash: That’s because Danielson knows that wrestling isn’t all about sportsmanship! He wanted that damn title, and I wouldn’t mind betting that this isn’t the last time we’ll see him battle for it!
**The camera heads backstage to find Maria standing by, looking as ditzy ever**
Maria: Hi, I’m Maria! I’m here with one of the three men that will be involved in the Elimination Triple Threat Match for the Final of the World Title Tournament tonight, RHINO!
- Rhino walks into picture to a big roar from the crowd -
Maria: Rhino, tonight you have the honour of being involved in the first ever match to crowd the EPW World Champion, what are your thoughts?
Rhino: My thoughts?
- Maria nods -
Rhino: I’ll tell you my thoughts. Not only am will I be competing in the first ever match for the EPW Title, but I WILL be leaving the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight as the FIRST EVER EPW Champion.
Maria: Your opponents are the Rated R Superstar - Edge and the Rabid Wolverine Chris Benoit. You’ve gotta pin them BOTH before you can call yourself the champion, that’s gonna be pretty tough!
Rhino: Tough?! Of course it’ll be tough. It’ll be a battle. Tonight I’m going to war with two other competitors who both have the same goal as I do, but unfortunately for them, there’s only ONE War Machine…there’s only ONE Man Beast...and…more specifically directed to Edge, there’s only ONE…Master of the Gore…and that man is me…RHINO!
Maria: Rhino, do you…
Rhino: (cutting Maria off) Tonight Edge, Benoit. You’re both going to bring your A games, but unfortunately that ain’t gonna be enough because no matter what either of you do, the result will be the same…GORE, GORE, G…
Voice: Yo…YO RHINO! MARIA!
- Homicide and Hernandez run into picture to a bunch of heat -
Homicide: Have either of ya’ll gringos seen K-Dawg? Or Juvi and Psicosis?
- Maria shakes her head apologetically while Rhino looks infuriated -
Homicide: (To Rhino) Woah. Chill ese, we mean no harm, we just tryin’ to find our boyz.
Rhino: (To Homicide & Hernandez) You two should know better than most, NEVER INTERUPT ME!! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!
- Homicide & Hernandez had already started walking away as the crowd pops slightly for Rhino -
Rhino: EDGE! BENOIT! After tonight, you will both most definitely remember the name RHINO! Because the War Machine is walking out tonight as the FIRST EVER EPW World Champion courtesy of the GORE, GORE, GORE!!
**Rhino stares a hole through the camera before it shoots back to the arena where the fans are notably silent in preparation for the second match of the evening until HERE COMES THE PAIN hits and a huge chorus of jeers and boos break out in the Hammerstein Ballroom as the Next Big Thing, Brock Lesnar makes his way out for the Number 1 Contenders match looking focused and extremely confident. Lesnar makes his way slowly down the ramp, totally ignoring the crowds insults, as he jumps up on the apron in his usual fashion, before climbing through the ropes and ascending the turnbuckle to taunt that the belt will be his in time, as the crowd continue to boo him**
Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following is scheduled for One fall and it is to determine the first Number 1 Contender to the ECW Championship once it is decided later on tonight, introducing first, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing in at 295 pounds, THE NEXT BIG THING…BROCK LESNAR!
Styles: I think it’s fair to say that this man, Brock Lesnar has definitely been the most dominant figure in EPW since its birth, and it’s going to take a super human effort from Christian Cage tonight to defeat him.
Nash: That man, Lesnar, is going to stop at nothing until he takes the EPW Championship, and I tell ya what dude, I’m not gonna try and stop him!
**The heat continues on Lesnar until JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES/MY LAST BREATH hits and Christian Cage makes his way out with his Captain Charisma tracksuit on to a huge ovation. Christian stands at the top of the ramp, before slapping his chest, kissing his fingers before pointing them out to the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd. Cage makes his way down to the ring slowly, soaking up the cheers of the crowd who seem to be ecstatic to be seeing a match of this calibre so early on the card. Christian makes his way up the stairs and climbs through the ropes before taking off his tracksuit in preparation for the match to get under way**
Artes: And the opponent, now residing in Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 227 pounds, this is Captain Charisma….CHRISTIAN…CAGE!
Styles: Christian Cage certainly has his work cut out for him in this one, but he wants that EPW Championship more than anything, and he’s already pinned Lesnar once, so I think Brock will have to be on his game for this one, he can’t take Christian lightly.
Nash: You’re over rating Christian, Styles. Lesnar will destroy him and he’ll more than likely go on and take the EPW Championship off whoever wins it tonight, in 3 night’s time on Enslaved.
Styles: After what Rhino was just said moments ago, I think it’s going a hard task for both Edge and Benoit to pick up the title tonight. The Man Beast is focused, for mine, he’s the favourite tonight in our Main Event.

Match 2
Number 1 Contenders Match
Brock Lesnar v Christian Cage
The referee calls for the bell to ring to signify the start of the Number 1 Contenders Match. Christian Cage and Brock Lesnar stand off in opposing corners as Cage refuses to be intimidated by Lesnar, despite Lesnar’s threats in recent weeks. The stand off continues as Lesnar stands in his corner visibly breathing very heavily, whilst staying intently focused on Christian, who stares right into the eyes of Lesnar before his trademark grin spreads across his face and he slaps his chest twice to show his opponent that he won’t be backing down as the crowd get right behind Cage with a “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant starting out early on. Christian takes a step to his right and Lesnar does the same as the two begin to circle the ring as this one looks about to get under away, after the two have done two complete circles of the ring, they both head towards the middle and they go to lock up but Christian ducks under Lesnar’s arm and avoids it as the two stand off again with Christian slapping his chest twice once more, which seems to infuriate Lesnar as the crowd’s support behind Christian Cage continues. Lesnar goes to lock up again but Cage ducks under it for the second time, as he seems intent in getting into Lesnar’s head and putting him off his game. Lesnar advances again and this time he manages to lock up with Christian as he uses his strength advantage to power his Canadian opponent into the corner, but Christian refuses to relinquish the hold and grant the advantage to Lesnar as the two remain locked up in the corner, causing the referee to commence a 5 count, and he almost gets a clean break as both Cage and Lesnar break up, but Brock goes for a cheap right hand although once again, Captain Charisma sees it coming and he ducks right under the impending strike from the Next Big Thing, which riles Lesnar up even more as Christian just grins wryly at him.
Lesnar’s impatience and desperation to win the match prevails yet again, as he charges at Christian for the fourth time, but this time he takes him down with an unexpected drop toe hold, which plants Brock face first on the mat, as Christian starts to stomp away at the shoulder and neck region of his opponent. Captain Charisma brings him back to his feet and then whips Lesnar into the ropes, before unsuccessfully attempting a standing shoulder block which has no affect on Lesnar what so ever. Christian then shoots into the ropes himself and comes back looking for a crossbody, but Lesnar shows his dominance and catches Cage in mid-air before launching him with a Fall Away Slam. Lesnar goes straight after Christian with some hard rights to the grounded Captain Charisma, garnering the upper-hand for himself, before standing him up and Irish Whipping him hard into the corner. Lesnar charges across the ring at Cage looking for a spear in the corner but he manages to get out of the way of it at the last moment and Lesnar’s shoulder crashes into the steel ring post. Christian centres his offence on Lesnar’s shoulder again as he twists it into in an arm bar before dropping his elbow into his opponents shoulder twice causing Brock to drop down to one knee. Cage keeps the arm bar locked in on his bigger opponent and drives his elbow into the shoulder again, before he releases the hold and kicks Lesnar stiff in the spine, before stomping away at the shoulder and neck region once again. Lesnar makes it back to his feet gradually but is met by some hard rights from Christian. The Next Big Thing eventually blocks the fourth attempt and responds with a right of his own, before a kick to the mid-section as he whips Christian hard into the ropes and as he shoots back, Brock connects with a devastating Clothesline, which sends Cage crashing to the canvas, as Lesnar uses the time to build up some stamina after the assault on his shoulder. Christian makes is steadily back to his feet as he and Lesnar lock up momentarily until the Next Big Thing gains the upper-hand, securing Cage in a side headlock but Christian pushes him off and into the ropes, Lesnar bounces off and both men go for a shoulder block, but Brock’s strength advantage shines through, as Captain Charisma cannons into the mat again, which Lesnar follows with a lateral press…

Brock Lesnar makes it back to his feet clutching at his shoulder, when Christian Cage suddenly FLIES OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CROSS BODY PLANCHA!!!! Lesnar again gets back to his feet albeit slowly, only for Christian to lock in another inverted facelock, but this time he drops to one knee before delivering an inverted facelock neckbreaker, but Cage doesn’t released the hold, as he then delivers a second inverted facelock neckbreaker, inflicting further pain on Lesnar as the crowd continue to support Christian whole heartedly. Captain Charisma starts to stomp away at the shoulder region of Brock Lesnar once more, but he quickly brings him back to his feet, before whipping him into the corner. With Brock sat up in the corner, Cage charges at him but Lesnar manages to get an elbow up at the last minute and prevent the assault. Christian stumbles out of the corner, with his head in his hands following the high elbow, only for Lesnar to pick him up awkwardly, showing obvious signs of discomfort in the shoulder region and plant him on the canvas with a Scoop Powerslam, as the Next Big Thing tries to buy himself some time to recover from Christian’s recent onslaught.
Lesnar stalks Christian until he rises back to his feet. Brock acts quickly, whipping Cage into the ropes and as he shoots back he GETS MET OFF GUARD BY AN OVERHEAD BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX despite The Next Big Thing having an injured shoulder. Lesnar quickly follows it up with a cover…

NO! Christian kicks out!
Brock Lesnar climbs back to his feet, as does Christian, albeit a little slower and shakier. Cage is instantly met with a kick to the midsection from Lesnar, as he then sets Captain Charisma up before hoisting him up over his head and delivering a DEVESTATING POWERBOMB!!! But Lesnar doesn’t release the hold and lifts Christian up again looking for a second Power Bomb, but this time Cage manages to shift his weight slightly whilst above Lesnar’s head counter it into a HURRICANRANA OUT OF NO WHERE BRINGING OUT A MASSIVE POP FROM THE CROWD!!!! Cage is unable to capitalise however as he stays down on the mat, still feeling the ill effects from the earlier Powerbomb. Lesnar actually manages to make it back to his feet first, he then brings Christian back to his feet as well, before whipping him into the ropes, Christian shoots back, ducks under a clothesline attempt from Lesnar, bounces off the adjacent ropes and delivers a flying forearm to the face of Brock Lesnar.
Once again both men stay down in pain until they both make it back to their feet simultaneously, the two lock up in the middle of the ring, but yet again Lesnar’s strength advantage proves to much as he over powers Christian, forcing him up against the ropes this time, causing the referee to start the 5 count, but Lesnar breaks the hold in time to avoid disqualification. He then Irish Whips Christian into the corner, but gets his foot out early and prevents the collision in the corner, however before he can act further, Lesnar rushes up behind him and DELIVERS A HUGE GERMAN SUPLEX LAUNCHING CHRISTIAN HALF WAY ACROSS THE RING!!!
Lesnar acts promptly again, picking up the fallen Christian and hoisting him up on his shoulders in the Fireman’s Carry position. Brock holds him in the position momentarily before delivering a DEVESTATING F-5!!! Christian is planted face first on the canvas but his legs took out the referee in the process! Christian’s feet crashed into the face of the referee when he was being spun around by Lesnar, which made the official drop straight to the mat. Unaware to what’s occurred with the referee - Lesnar goes for the cover, as the crowd count the fall for him…

Lesnar eventually realises that the referee is not counting and looks up to see what the hell was going on. When he realises that the official is down, he immediately heads straight to the outside to retrieve a steel chair. Brock doesn’t hit Christian with it though, instead laying it down on the mat before his intentions the become clearer as he then sets Christian up for the F-5 again, he goes to administer the move but CHRISTIAN CAGE COUNTERS INTO A SWINGING DDT CRASHING LESNAR’S FACE INTO THE CHAIR! The crowd roar in approval, still cheering on Christian, as another “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant breaks out. Christian makes it back to his feet very slowly and gingerly before picking up Brock as well, he underhooks his opponents arms before DELIVERING THE UNPRETTIER TO LESNAR ON THE CHAIR NOW!!! Lesnar crashes face first on to the chair, busting him wide open. Fully aware that the referee is still down, Christian takes the chair and jams it in between the top and middle rope in the corner before making his way back over to Lesnar, who’s face is a crimson mask, picking him up and throwing him headfirst at the turnbuckle as his head crashes right into the chair. Christian pulls Lesnar out of the corner a little before making further use of the chair, setting it up on top of Lesnar before ascending the turnbuckle himself. Christian stands tall at the top of the turnbuckle, before flying off looking for the Frog Splash, but Lesnar actually manages enough strength TO THROW THE CHAIR UP IN THE FACE OF CHRISTIAN BEFORE HE CAN COMPLETE THE FROG SPLASH!!!!
With both men down and the referee still showing no signs of life, the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful get right behind Christian once again, trying to will him on. Captain Charisma is the first to stir as Lesnar didn’t get all of him with the chair, Christian slowly makes it back to his feet, but doesn’t bother going for the cover on Brock because the referee is still down, he instead focuses his attention on bringing the official back to life and after a few moments of shaking him, Cage simply grabs him by the collar and reefs him back to his feet before making his way over to the bloodied Lesnar. Cage looks to pick him up, but it seems that Brock may have been playing possum, as he unleashes a big boot to the face to Cage when he bent over to pick him up. Christian staggers backwards with his head in his hands, before turning his back on Lesnar, only for the Next Big Thing to rise to his feet again and start clubbing away at the back of Captain Charisma, forcing him over to the corner. Lesnar has Christian sat up in the corner, he gets a grasp on the middle rope either side of Cage before he starts to deliver repeated turnbuckle thrusts driving his uninjured shoulder hard into the stomach region of Christian Cage. The Next Big Thing pulls Cage out of the corner, before attacking his stomach and sternum region again, with some hard knees, after 4 brutal shots, Brock whips Cage into the ropes, as he shoots back Lesnar rocks him with a massive Spear! He hooks the leg of Cage and looks for the win…

Cage rises slowly as he looks to regain some momentum, he runs at the ropes again, and shoots off quickly but Lesnar is back on his feet and looks to hit some sort of Back Body Drop, but Cage reverses it into a Sunset Flip into a pinning situation…

Captain Charisma moves over to the corner and ascends the turnbuckle slowly, presumably looking to hit a high risk move, but suddenly Lesnar rises back to his feet and climbs to the top rope quickly himself and delivers a HUGE BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX OFF THE TOP ROPE!!! Christian goes flying almost to the opposite side of the ring as both he and Lesnar are down on the mat as the crowd roar in appreciation for the move.

NO! CHRISTIAN MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP!!!!!
The crowd goes wild, seeing Cage kick out after the Belly to Belly from the top rope, as the commentators begin to put over the resilience of Cage and how frustrated Lesnar is starting to become. Lesnar brings Christian back to his vertical base and lines him up for a Powerful Clothesline off only a few steps, but he ducks under it, however Lesnar manages to recover quickly and lock his arms around the waist of his opponent, in an attempt to deliver another German Suplex, but Cage blocks it once by hooking his leg around one of Lesnar’s he then punches away briefly at his tightly locked arms, as Brock seemingly loosens the hold a little - Christian surprisingly delivers an uncharacteristic MODIFIED STUNNER TO COUNTER THE GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Lesnar crashes to the mat, as does Christian who falls over as well, looking clearly drained.
After regaining some composure, Cage makes it back to his feet and begins to stomp away at Lesnar’s shoulder once again, to keep him grounded, whilst also buying himself some recovery time as he still seems to be feeling effects of the Belly to Belly from the top rope. The crowd starts another “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant as they sense that he may have found an opening and this could well be the beginning of the end of this one.
Christian lifts Brock back to his feet, hooks his arms and pivots him so he is in position for the Unprettier, but Lesnar fights and actually manages to run Cage face first up against the ropes, causing him to release Lesnar who THEN HITS A GERMAN SUPLEX TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE as he was still positioned behind Christian’s back! Lesnar picks Cage up now, and sets him up for the F-5, with Captain Charisma in the Fireman’s Carry position, just before Lesnar can spin him around and complete the move, Cage manages to slide off his back before securing an Inverted Headlock, and delivering a second Inverted DDT for the match, and Christian has countered Brock Lesnar’s finisher for the second time tonight!! Christian then makes the cover…

NO! LESNAR GETS THE SHOULDER UP!
Christian looks on in amazement as this one continues on. Both men make it back to their vertical base, as they both lock up, but this time Christian manages to shift his weight and Irish Whip Lesnar hard into the corner. With Brock sat up in the corner, Cage then climbs up the turnbuckle behind him as he then locks in another Inverted Facelock, from the top of the turnbuckle this time, only to then deliver A DEVESTATING CCT!!! This makes it clear that Christian is still centring his attack on the neck and shoulder region of Brock Lensar, in an attempt to make it hard for him to hit the F-5. Captain Charisma brings Brock, who is still has blood covering his face although it is much drier now, back to his feet as the crowd continue their support for Christian. Cage gets a grasp of Lesnar, before driving his shoulder into the steel turnbuckle, inflicting further punishment to the Next Big Thing’s shoulder. Lesnar staggers slowly back to his feet only for Christian to throw him through the middle rope and down to the floor on the outside, as Brock’s injured shoulder takes almost the full force of the impact on the floor. Christian slides under the bottom rope, and immediately goes after Lesnar, whipping him hard into the Steel Steps at ring side, with Brock’s injured shoulder crashing hard into the steps.
Christian then gets a grip of Lesnar’s head and slams it hard against the top of the Steel Steps, before rolling Lesnar on to the top of the steps, hitting him with 3 clubbing fists across his vast chest in order to keep him down on the stairs. Christian rolls back into the ring briefly to break the count momentarily, which was at 7, before he rolls back to outside and climbs the steps himself. He stands Lesnar up, whilst still on the steel steps, over hooks his arms and then delivers the UNPRETTIER ON THE STEEL RING STEPS PLANTING HIM FACE FIRST!!! A massive “WHOLY SHIT” chant breaks out in the Ballroom. Christian once again rolls back under the bottom rope to break the referees count again, which was at 8. He then rolls back under the rope and back to the outside, only to bring Brock Lesnar who is now bleeding profusely once again back into the ring. Christian makes the most of the opportunity of Lesnar still being down following the Unprettier on the steel steps and goes for the immediate cover

CHRISTIAN CAGE HAS DONE IT!!!! HE’S MANAGED TO CONQUER THE MOUNTAIN THAT IS BROCK LESNAR!!!
Winner: Christian Cage @ 18:04
Artes: Here is your winner, CHRISTIAN CAGE!
Styles: Christian Cage has finally done it! He’s pulled off the huge upset and defeated Brock Lesnar to become the Number 1 Contender to the EPW World Title when it’s holder is decided upon later tonight!
**Cage rises slowly off Lesnar before JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES/MY LAST BREATH hits and he ascends to turnbuckle to celebrate as the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd give him a huge ovation. Cage slides out of the ring, and heads up the aisle before standing up the top of the ramp and gesturing that the title will be his as the camera goes backstage finding Christy Hemme**
Christy: With me at this time is Muhammad Hassan. Your match with Colt Cabana is up next, how have you prepared?
Hassan: How have I prepared? I don’t need to go out of my way to prepare any differently for a match against someone that is the calibre of…Colt Cabana.
Christy: So you’re confident?
Hassan: Of course I’m confident. When you look at me, you’re looking at greatness. Muhammad Hassan has absolutely no reason at all not to be confident.
Christy: Can I get your thoughts on the assault of Sonjay Dutt by Colt and CM Punk this past Wednesday on Enslaved?
Hassan: I’m glad you asked. The beating that Punk and Cabana dealt Sonjay Dutt last week was one of the most despicable acts I have ever witnessed and quite simply I blame each and everyone of the fans in the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight. If Punk wasn’t so concerned with getting you people on his side this would never have taken place!!
- Heat -
Hassan: Punk knows I’m the most hated man in EPW when I walk out into that bingo hall out there and he knows the easiest way to get those degenerates on his side is to harm someone that is aligned with me.
- Hassan pauses for a moment -
Hassan: I know Punk instigated this to send me a message. Well I’ve got a message for you Punk, this Wednesday night on Enslaved, you’re going ONE on ONE with Sonjay Dutt and believe me you won’t have the same luck against him that you had in your match earlier tonight.
- Slight heat -
Hassan: Once I’m done making an example out of Colt Cabana tonight, Punk, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your brand new Pacific Title and it’s going to be coming to the arms of a man that truly deserves championship gold, a man that will represent EPW with Honour and Dignity, the GREAT MUHAMMAD HASSAN!
**Daivari then grabs the mic and blurts out something in farsci bringing a confused expression from Christy before the camera then shoots to another backstage location, once again with Homicide and Hernandez**
Homicide: Yo! Paulie! Have ya’ll seen Konnan tonight?
- Huge pop as Paul Heyman appears on screen -
Heyman: Homicide, I haven’t and you can refer to me as Mr. Heyman in future, thank you.
Homicide: Whatever ya say Paulie.
***The camera then swings back to the arena when ARABIC PRAYER hits to a raucous ovation from the Hammerstein Ballroom, as Muhammad Hassan makes his way arrogantly out to the top of the ramp, obviously without Sonjay Dutt, following the beating that he endured from CM Punk on Wednesday night but still with Daivari at his side, yelling obscenely in his native language with Hassan standing at the top of the ramp taunting the crowd which irritates them even more. The duo slowly start to make their way down to the ring, amidst a huge USA chant starting out in the crowd***
Artes: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL! Introducing first, accompanied by his manager, Daivari, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 243, Muhammad Hassan!
Nash: Oh and what a shame, that other piece of crap, Sonjay Dutt, couldn't make it tonight. I guess Punk and Cabana beat him real good.
***The crowd continues to berate Hassan as he is receiving far more heat than anyone else has so far this evening before COPA CABANA hits to a surprisingly big pop, as Colt Cabana makes his way out in his usual upbeat fashion, dressed in his jacket and sunglasses, dancing away to his music, high-fiving the fans on the way down to the ring***
Artes:] And the opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 239 pounds, COLT…CABANA!

Match 3
Singles Match
Muhammad Hassan v Colt Cabana
The match starts off with Colt Cabana in his corner, still in his upbeat mood, while Muhammad Hassan is in the opposing corner, looking much more focused and intent on dominating Cabana. After a few moments, the crowd begins a “COLT CABANA” chant, which brings about more bopping from Colt as he has a big smile on his face.
The two men eventually move to the centre of the ring, and after a brief stare down, they lock up in a collar elbow tie up, both combatants battle to come out of top, as Hassan shifts his weight to try and force Colt into the corner, before Cabana then shifts his weight to stop Hassan’s momentum. The two remain in the tie up, and continue to battle to via for the advantage before Hassan breaks it up, with a disgruntled look on his face. Cabana then offers a test of strength to Hassan, which he cautiously accepts. The two lock it in, with Hassan gaining the upper hand, looking to force Colt into the corner once more, but yet again Cabana shifts his weight and gains the advantage, this time driving Hassan into the opposing corner, showing that he does have a strength advantage over the slightly taller Hassan. Cabana has Hassan in the corner, striking him with an elbow to the jaw, followed by a high knee to the same spot on the face of Hassan. The referee begins a five count and just when it looks like he is going to get a clean break from Colt, after he took 3 steps back, he then delivers a missile dropkick to Hassan out of no where, amidst a massive pop from the crowd.
Colt helps Hassan back to his feet, and then whips him into the ropes, and Hassan flies back, he is floored by a huge clothesline from his opponent. Colt then runs at the ropes himself, jumps at the second rope, attempting to hit a Springboard Moonsault, but Hassan rolls out of the way, as Colt crashes and burns on the canvas. Hassan moves quickly, stretching Cabana out from behind, before driving his knee into Colt’s spine, after keeping the hold locked in for a few seconds, Hassan brings Cabana back to his feet, before picking him up and planting him again with a Bodyslam. Hassan then drops an elbow into the chest of Cabana, following it up with a lateral press…

NO! Colt kicks out at a very optimistic attempt to pick up the win from Muhammad Hassan.
Hassan doesn’t seem too bothered by Cabana kicking out and he acts quickly, sitting his opponent up and locking in a headlock on the grounded Cabana. Hassan keeps the hold locked in tightly, as the crowd starts up a “USA” chant much to the disgust of Hassan. Hassan maintains the hold, wrenching it and pulling it as tight as possible but just when Colt begins to face he starts to show signs of fight and slowly begins to try and bring himself back to his vertical base, when Colt gets back to one knee, Hassan releases the hold and hits a clubbing blow to the neck his adversary, dropping him to the mat once more. Hassan then stomps away at the back of Colt’s neck before raising him back to his feet and throwing him into the ropes, Hassan sets up to hit a back body drop, but he sets himself too early and Colt kicks him square in the face, dropping both Hassan and Colt himself back to the mat, as he clutches at his neck following Hassan’s stomping away at him. Colt then gets back to his feet with the crowd still heavily cheering him on, he stalks Hassan and once he gets back to his vertical base, Colt takes him down just as quickly with a running lariat, followed by another as Hassan got up straight away, unaffected by the first, with Hassan now grounded again, Colt shoots into the ropes and as he rebounds back he drops the knee into the chest of his opponent, before standing up again and delivering the Bionic Elbow, right to the centre of Hassan’s head, before going for the second cover of the match…

With Hassan in the sat up in the turnbuckle, Colt then charges at him, scoring with a running double knee attack, as Hassan drops to the mat once more. Hassan is battling to get out, but Cabana is determined to keep the hold locked in on Hassan, who refuses to submit! Hassan stretches out his arm in hope of reaching the rope, but realises he’s still an inch away, so he tries to physically drag himself over to the ropes, and after a brief battle, he reaches out with his right arm and gets a tight grip on the bottom rope, before yelling out “I’ve got the rope! Suddenly, Hassan’s manager, Daivari enters the ring, with a steel chair in hand. He then heads straight over to Colt, before raising the chair above his head, about to hit strike but Cabana releases the top rope that he was using to keep himself standing and falls straight to the ground just as the chair Daivari swung at Colt, hit the top rope, bounced back, cracks him in the head, knocking him out cold in the process!!!! Naturally this brings about a massive pop and a “YOU FUCKED UP” chant from the crowd.
Hassan stops arguing with the referee for a moment as he sees that Daivari is down on the mat, before then starting to argue with him again but over Daivari’s downfall this time, stating that it was in fact Colt’s wrong-doing. Colt then rushes up behind Hassan, locks his wrists and delivers a huge GERMAN SUPLEX OUT OF NO WHERE SHUTTING THE LOUD MOUTH UP VERY PROMPTLY!!! He brings him back to his feet, whips him into the ropes, but as Hassan shoots back, he is one step ahead of his rival and knocks him to the floor with an unexpected drop kick, but he is unable to capitalise as it clearly took all of Hassan’s remaining energy to perform the manoeuvre.

Punk makes his way slowly down the aisle, still dressed with his wrestling trunks on, but with a jacket on and his newly won Pacific Championship draped over his shoulder. The commentators point out that Punk and Hassan have had issues in recent weeks, with Hassan tapping out to Punk’s Anaconda Vice submission hold in a Tag match a few weeks ago, whilst Hassan beat the hell out of Punk on separate occasions.
Punk slowly makes his way down the aisle with a wry smile on his face, slapping the title, still draped over his shoulder. Hassan then starts to shout and point at Punk, before turning his attention back to Cabana, picking him up, applying a side headlock before planting Colt once more with a DDT this time, all the while Hassan looks cockily at Punk. Hassan makes his way straight back to his feet and stands over the fallen body of Colt Cabana, whilst still keeping his eyes locked on CM Punk.
Punk lets out a small laugh at Hassan before making his way to the still fallen body of Daivari, following the chair shot earlier in the match, Punk picks him up in a hasty fashion, showing little regard for Daivari’s well-being. The Pacific Champion then takes his brand new title off his shoulder, and CRACKS IT AGAINST THE SCULL OF DAIVARI!!!!! Thus ending him plummeting to the floor, splitting him wide open in the process! Hassan furiously makes his way over to the ropes and begins to sling all kinds of abuse at Punk, as he just casually points for Hassan to turn around, as Colt Cabana is now back on his feet and he connects with an unexpected running Lariat on Muhammad Hassan just as he turned around. Colt leaps at the second rope, bouncing off in an attempt to hit a Springboard Moonsault on Hassan, but he rolls out of the way at the last moment.
Hassan looks to inflict further insult on to Cabana, before he notices that CM Punk now has the Anaconda Vice locked in on Daivari at ringside, who is tapping out like a mad-man with the crowd going wild. Hassan makes his way over to the ropes, and attempts to climb through only for Colt to bring him to a halt and bring him back into the ring. Colt connects with two hard right hands, before Irish Whipping him into the Turnbuckle and connecting with a running double-knee attack. Colt then brings him out of the corner and whips Hassan into the ropes now, as he shoots back, both competitors have the same intention and go for a standing shoulder block, but neither budges.

- Heat -
Joe: Strap yourself in Jericho, you’re about to take a ride on the Highway to Hell because Joe is going to KILL YOU!
**Joe stares intensely through the camera while Maria looks slightly intimidated before the camera shoots backstage where we see Homicide and Hernandez still looking for Konnan, Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis when they run into Chris Jericho**
Homicide: Yo. Yo Jericho, have you seen Konnan dawg? Or Juvi or Psicosis?
Jericho: Who the hell are you? No I haven’t seen Konnan. He’s not someone I go out of my way to look for, now hit the breaks Junior, I’ve got a match with a fat Samoan to prepare for.
**The two continue their search when they bump into Bryan Danielson, nursing a sore head**
Homicide: Dragon, have you seen Konnan holmes?
Danielson: No.
**Homicide and Hernandez then become noticeably frustrated when they then see two masked figures run out of a room quickly. They charge down the hallway and enter the room to find Konnan laid out on the ground with his trademark slapjack draped out across his chest as he is bleeding a little from his head**
Homicide: K-Dawg! K-Dawg! We’re gonna get those gringos ese. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team are gonna be the first victims of the LAX Revolution in EPW!!
**Hernandez and Homicide look pumped before leaving the room and making their way out to the ring for their match as Hernandez questions Homicide where the hell Juvi and Psicosis could be?**
Nash: It looks as if the Worlds Greatest Tag Team has tried to level the odds here tonight! First Psicosis and Juventud go missing, and now K-Dawg has been laid out! Cowards, that’s the only way I can sum up Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas right now, DAMN COWARDS!
Styles: Calm the hell down, we don’t even know for sure that this is the work of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team.
Nash: Who ELSE would it have been, Styles?! WHO ELSE!?
**The camera then heads back to the arena, which is now littered with Ladders as WORLDS GREATESThits and the Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas make their way out in their red, white and blue ring attire to a semi-decent reaction from the Ballroom crowd in preparation for their Ladder Match for the Tag Titles, the two stand at the top of the ramp in an attempt to hype the crowd up a little bit more, but it is seemingly unsuccessful as the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful just don’t really buy into the WGTT. The duo make their way down the aisle quickly, as they both take quick glimpses at 3 of the Ladders at ringside, before sliding into the ring, ascending a turnbuckle each in an attempt to further liven up the crowd once more**
Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen the following is a Ladder Match and it is for the EPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!! Introducing first, weighing in at a combined weight of 495 pounds…Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas…THE WORLDS GREATEST TAG TEAM!
Styles: You’d have to consider this pairing to be the favourites for this match up. They won the best of three series, they picked a match type that they a very likely to excel in, and I find it hard to see how they can be disadvantaged at all during this match.
**Benjamin and Haas continue to try and hype up the crowd a little more, but DAWGZ hits to a massive ovation of boos and jeers as the crowd seemingly find their life again, as they continue to express their hatred for the heels that have been involved in the matches so far tonight. Homicide and Hernandez, looking very pissed off, make their way out, minus Konnan, Juvi & Psicosis as a few cheers can be heard from the crowd as well. There are three ladders situated at the very top of the aisle and Hernandez gives a brief nod to Homicide before he picks up one of the three ladders**
Artes: And the opponents, making their way to the ring, representing the Latin American Exchange, HERNANDEZ AND HOMICIDE!
Styles: You’d definitely have to think that the momentum has swung drastically against these two in recent weeks, and now tonight as well with Konnan being beaten down backstage as well as Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis, seemingly going missing…HOLD ON! HERE WE GO! AS HERNANDEZ IS WASTING LITTLE TIME!!

Match 4
Tag Team
Ladder Match
EPW World Tag Team Championships
The Latin American Exchange, Homicide & Hernandez v The Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas
Hernandez has picked up the ladder and the two immediately sprint down to the ring, as the referee calls for the bell to signify the start of the match with the EPW Tag Titles hanging above the ring.
Hernandez and Homicide make it down to the ring, as the bigger of the two LAX members, Hernandez looks to slide the ladder under the bottom rope in order to get it into the ring, but it is met by a LOW DROP KICK FROM CHARLIE HAAS, CRASHING THE LADDER INTO THE FACE OF HERNANDEZ!!! With the crowd going nuts for the opening exchange of the match, Shelton Benjamin FLIES OVER THE TOP ROPE, LANDING A CROSSBODY PLANCHA ON TO HOMICIDE!!!!! The crowd go wild early on in appreciation for the start of this match. With the LAX down, the Worlds Greatest Tag Team looks to act quickly and pick up the win early on. The two pick up the ladder and slide it into the ring, with Shelton directing Haas’ around the ring with the ladder, but surprisingly Hernandez is already back on his feet and is pulling at the other end of the ladder, vying for possession with Charlie Haas. Benjamin eventually realises what’s going on, and starts pulling at the ladder as well but the two combined fail to pry the ladder from the grip of Hernandez as he stands tall on the outside, showcasing his strength, despite the fact he has two opponents in the ring, who are hardly small, trying to pull the ladder from his grip. As the three continue to battle for possession of the ladder, Homicide climbs up on the apron, surprisingly drawing little attention from the WGTT, he directs Hernandez to quickly release the ladder, before hitting a LEG DROP ON THE LADDER CAUSING IT TO CRASH UP IN THE FACE OF BOTH MEMBERS OF THE WORLDS GREATEST TAG TEAM!!
Homicide stays down on the outside momentarily clutching at his hamstring region as it took the full brunt of the ladder, as the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd totally eat up the very early exchanges of this match early on. The only man still on his feet, Hernandez, quickly climbs into the ring and goes straight after both of his opponents, he first stands Charlie Haas up and Irish Whips him hard into one corner before standing Shelton Benjamin up and Irish Whipping him hard into the opposite corner. Hernandez then charges across the ring at Haas and drives his shoulder right into his sternum with a massive spear in the corner, before charging over towards Benjamin as well and delivering a massive squash clothesline as Hernandez takes control and dominates the match early on. The crowd unexpectedly cheer on Hernandez on his early rampage, as they are seemingly appreciative for some fast paced, physical competition early on in the match. The biggest man in the match, Hernandez, starts to hammer away at Shelton in the corner with some hard lefts and rights, he delivers a couple of hard elbows to the neck area of Benjamin before setting him up, seemingly for a Belly to Belly Suplex, but the other half of the WGTT, Charlie Haas rushes up behind Hernandez and locks his arms around his waist, and after a bit of a struggle, he shows great strength, delivers a huge German Suplex to Hernandez, who didn’t release his hold either, as he still managed to execute his Belly to Belly Suplex to Shelton Benjamin, seemingly made more forceful with the assistance of the German Suplex from Haas as SHELTON LANDS BACK FIRST ON THE LADDER which is still in the ring, whilst the crowd continue to go wild in appreciation for the action that this match has produced in only it’s early exchanges!
Homicide is back in the ring now, and after a brief glance down at Shelton Benjamin, he goes straight after Charlie Haas with three hard rights, before ducking under an attempt at a right from Haas and whipping him into the ropes, as he then meets him with a high elbow, dropping one half of the WGTT to the canvas. Haas gets back to his feet immediately as both he and Homicide lock up and battle for the advantage, which Charlie eventually garners, by managing to shift his weight and lock in a side headlock only for Homicide to push him off and into the ropes but as he bounces off, he takes the Notorious one down with a running shoulder block which he follows up with a drop of the elbow to his sternum. Hernandez is back up, whilst Shelton remains down, clutching at his back following his heavy collision with the ladder. Hernandez immediately goes after Haas, preventing further attack on his partner with a clubbing blow to the back of the head, before throwing him through the middle rope and down to the floor. He then goes straight for the ladder, setting it up directly under the tag belts that are suspended in mid-air, as the crowds support is still seemingly torn here, with them still eating the match up. Hernandez begins to climb the 12 rung ladder as Shelton Benjamin finally begins to stir…

Homicide stands guard to prevent Haas from re-entering the ring, unaware of what’s happening behind him.

…..8 rungs to go…..
SHELTON BENJAMIN goes from lying on the ground, stirring slightly to leaping up to his feet at a ridiculously quick rate as he seems to have been playing possum for a moment or two, to regain some stamina.
…..7 rungs to go…..
Shelton rushes up behind Homicide and taps him on the shoulder as he turns around he is greeted with a T-BONE EXPLODER SUPLEX OUT OF NO WHERE FROM BENJAMIN, WHILST HERNANDEZ HAS CONTINUED UP THE LADDER!
…..5 rungs to go…..
Shelton then quickly makes his way over to the other side of the ladder, ascends it, only to be met by a hard fist from Hernandez, stunning him momentarily, before showcasing his pure athleticism, and propelling himself over the top of the ladder and over Hernandez with a sunset flip, into a POWERBOMB TO HERNANDEZ OFF THE LADDER AS THE CROWD POP MASSIVELY WHILY HERNANDEZ CRASHES AND BURNS!!!
Haas slides back into the ring, under the bottom rope and both he and Benjamin slap hands in celebration before immediately centring their attack on Hernandez again, as they look to take out the bigger of their TWO opponents, whilst the ladder is still set up in the ring. The duo bring him back to his feet, before whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back the WGTT go to bring him down with a double flapjack, but instead of crashing straight to the mat, he crashes into the standing ladder, knocking it over on his path to the canvas. Homicide rises back to his feet and immediately goes after Shelton, but after only two punches, the numbers game proves to be two much for him, as both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team manage to ware him down with some dominant, clubbing blows.
Haas makes his way over to the ladder, picks it up and sets it up in the corner before making his way over to Hernandez, picking him up as well and walking him over to the corner, holding him up against the ladder, as he directs his partner to hit the Stinger Splash. Shelton charges across the ring and just at the last moment, HERNANDEZ MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND PULLS HAAS INTO THE IRING LINE AS HE ENDURES THE FULL FORCE OF A STINGER SPLASH FROM HIS PARTNER, SHELTON BENJAMIN UP AGAINST THE UNFORGIVING LADDER!! Benjamin stumbles backwards in shock after hitting the splash on his own partner, only to be almost beheaded by a MASSIVE clothesline from Hernandez! Shelton crashes straight to the mat, as both Hernandez and the now vertical Homicide, begin stomping away at him in an attempt to further weaken him and increase their chances of ending this match quickly. With both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team grounded, Hernandez slides to the outside to retrieve another ladder, as Homicide locks in a headlock on the grounded Benjamin in order to further weaken him even more and keep him immobile. Haas has made it back to his feet and straight away directs his attention to Homicide but before he can as much as get a stomp away, he is CRACKED IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD by Hernandez, who is wielding his new ladder. Hernandez picks up the fallen Haas and throws him hard into the corner, before ordering Homicide to bring Shelton Benjamin, who is badly feeling the effects of the sleeper hold from Homicide, over and lay him out on the ladder, but instead the Notorious locks in a front facelock on Benjamin before hitting a FALCON ARROW LANDING SHELTON HARD ON THE LADDER!! Benjamin’s back is well and truly battered and damn near broken as he clutches at it and screams in obvious pain while Hernandez retrieves the other Ladder that was still in the ring and slams it down on top of Shelton Benjamin with a degree of force before ordering Homicide to put weight on the top ladder and prevent Benjamin from getting out of this unusual predicament.
With Shelton Benjamin sandwiched between two ladders, Homicide sitting on top of them and the crowd as well as the commentators wondering what the hell they are planning, Hernandez directs his attention back to Charlie Haas who now has blood slowly dripping down the side of his face as the top of his head seems to be split open from the savage Ladder shot earlier. Hernandez hits two hard rights to Haas before crashing his head into the top of the turnbuckle, he then climbs to the middle rope, sets Haas between his legs and hoists him up above his head before extending his arms to their maximum length and delivering a BRUTAL BORDER TOSS FROM THE MIDDLE ROPE DOWN ON TO THE LADDERS WHICH HAS SHELTON BENJAMIN BETWEEN THEM!! The crowd go absolutely wild, with a huge “WHOLY SHIT!” chant breaking out while Joey Styles lets out a shrieking “OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD!!!” before both he and Nash put over the arm strength of Hernandez and they question who would have been injured worse in that instance - Benjamin or Haas??
Both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team are not surprisingly down and out in the middle of the ring, as Homicide looks on seemingly a little shocked at the brutality he just saw from Hernandez, the latter then takes the Ladder, sets it up under the Tag Titles and begins to climb it as Homicide looks on underneath…

WHAT’S THIS?! HOLD ON! NO WAY! HERNANDEZ IS KNOCKED DOWN AFTER JUVENTUD SPRINGBOARDED OFF THE TOP ROPE AND MISSILE DROPKICKED THE LADDER! WHILE PSICOSIS LEAPT OVER THE TOP ROPE AND SIMULTANEOUSLY TOOK DOWN HOMICIDE WITH A HURRICANRANA!!
The crowd are in shock as they don’t know what to think after seeing Juvi and Psicosis double-cross their team mates! The reaction is seemingly split as Juventud sets up the Ladder AND STARTS TO CLIMB IT!! Juvi and Psicosis are looking for some reason, to steal the Tag Titles! The crowd still look on stunned at what they are seeing from Juventud Guerrera! Juvi is 5 rungs up the ladder when Homicide makes it back to his feet following the Hurricanrana from Psicosis and quickly rushes the ladder, pushing it over and preventing Juventud from stealing the Tag Titles!! Guerrera crashes to the mat as Psicosis advances at Homicide, looking for a diving spinning heel kick, but he manages to avoid it, resulting in Psicosis crashing into the mat as well but he immediately sits up before Homicide connects with a huge SHINING WIZARD KNOCKING HIM OUT COLD!! He then wastes little time in bringing Psicosis back to his feet and connects with the GRINGO KILLA!!! The crowd pops huge for the move as Homicide then throws the broken body of Psicosis out of the ring with force. Hernandez has made it back to feet and he immediately goes after Juventud – hoisting him up and delivering a brutal powerbomb! The Worlds Greatest Tag Team begin to stir slightly, although it is obvious that they are both in excruciating pain as Hernandez hoists a broken Juvi up on his shoulders in the Electric Chair position, before Homicide sets a ladder up behind him and climbs it quickly, right to the top. In what is a move that’s putting his own body at risk as well, HOMICIDE THEN DELIVERS AN ELEVATED DIVING BULLDOG FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!!! The two then crash into the floor down on the outside as another massive “WHOLY SHIT” chant breaks out from the crowd who are still eating up this match. Both men are down on the outside, with Juventud taking the majority of the fall, as Hernandez looks down on them both from the ring. Both Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, covered in blood, are back on their feet and they are both standing gingerly behind Hernandez, also looking down to the floor, as Haas can be visibly seen asking Shelton “what the hell is going on?” whilst still clutching his head. Suddenly Hernandez turns around, but the WGTT catch him off guard with a double kick to the mid section before they deliver a Fisherman’s Suplex to perfection on the big man, sending him crashing into the canvas but the Worlds Greatest Tag Team can’t capitalise as they both fall to the mat still obviously feeling some unpleasant effects from their recent bumps. The camera pans down on to Juventud and Homicide again, who are still down on the outside, before moving to Psicosis who doesn’t seem to have moved either until it eventually heads back to the action in the ring where Charlie Haas is back on his feet hammering away at the grounded Hernandez before beginning to lock in the HAAS OF PAIN thus allowing Shelton Benjamin an easy route to the ladder and the Tag Titles!! Shelton begins his journey up the ladder, as Haas successfully gets the submission manoeuvre locked in on Hernandez...

HOMICIDE PUSHES THE LADDER OVER!!!
Shelton Benjamin crashes hard to the canvas, as Homicide then kicks Charlie Haas hard, stiff in the back, breaking up the Haas of Pain!!! Hernandez has a noticeable look of relief on his face as his partner brings Haas back to his feet and meets him with two hard rights before whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back the Notorious One attempts the Brooklyn Lariet, but Haas ducks under it and quickly locks his arms around the waist of Homicide before delivering a German Suplex! Hernandez is back up and despite obviously favouring one of his legs, he charges at Haas but Charlie is one step ahead of his bigger rival and he takes him down with an Arm Drag, but Hernandez is straight back up and he charges at him again, looking for a clothesline this time, but Haas manages to duck under that as well, and once again he locks his arms around waist of Hernandez from behind and administers a SECOND GERMAN SUPLEX IN A MATTER OF MINUTES!
Haas quickly sets up the ladder under the Championship Belts and makes his way up…
