**A HUGE Pyrotechnics Display fills the Hammerstein Ballroom as the camera pans the raucious crowd while Sevendust's Face to Face plays.**

-Full Credit to Crazian for the poster, rep him now!-
Out of Exile
April 22, 2007
Hammerstein Ballroom
Event Music: "Face to Face" by Sevendust

Styles: Welcome! Ladies and Gentlemen to Evolution Pro Wrestling’s FIRST EVER PAY PER VIEW! We are LIVE from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, my name is Joey Styles and joining me at ringside for this very special night, is Kevin Nash!

Nash: Big Sexy in a da house! And Styles, what a show we’ve got tonight for our first Pay Per View! The final of the World Title Tournament to crown our first EPW World Champion with Edge, Chris Benoit and the War Machine, Rhino, battling it out in an Elimination Triple Threat match!

Styles: Don’t forget we’ve got what is set to be an epic, but brutal, Last Man Standing match on the card between Samoa Joe and Chris Jericho!

Nash: We’ve also got ourselves a Number 1 contenders match between Christian Cage and Brock Lesnar, as well as a Ladder match featuring Homicide and Hernandez of the Latin American Exchange and the Worlds Greatest Tag Team’s, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, which will determine the inaugural EPW Tag Team Champions!

Styles: I can’t wait Nash, I’m ready, you’re ready, this is going to be a huge night! Let’s get it started!

**MISERIA CANTARE hits to a massive ovation as CM Punk makes his way out for his triple threat match against Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson for the Pacific Title. Punk makes his typically swift entrance down the aisle, before climbing the steps and then climbing the turnbuckle, taunting the crowd. Once in the middle of the ring he taunts the crowd once more before pausing a moment to take in the huge “CM PUNK” chant which has now broken out**

Styles: Looks like we’re kicking things off with the Triple Threat match for the Pacific Title!

Nash: What a waste! Out of Exile starts with the most over rated damn wrestler on our roster!

Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your first match for the evening and it is a standard triple threat match for the EPW Pacific Championship, where the first man to gain a pinfall or submission will be the winner! Introducing first, in the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, this, is, C…M…PUNK!

**The huge chants for CM Punk continue as he is apparently the clear cut crowd favourite for this one until FINAL COUNTDOWN hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way out to huge boos and jeers from the Hammerstein Ballroom. Danielson typically doesn’t acknowledge that crowd at all, making his way down the aisle arrogantly, keeping his eyes locked on CM Punk at all times. Instead of entering the ring himself, he makes his way around to the side of the ring and stays on the outside, awaiting the arrival of the last competitor, Austin Aries**

Artes: Introducing the opponents, first, from Aberdeen, Washington, weighing in at 190 pounds…The American Dragon, BRYAN DANIELSON!

Styles: Bryan Danielsons actions over the past few weeks have definitely been questionable. The situation between Austin Aries and himself has been brewing since the second episode of Enslaved, and I can guarantee you, that no matter who wins tonight, the issue between these two, is far from over!

Nash: The American Dragon has shown he’s not gonna be intimidated by anyone, he’s the clear cut favourite here tonight, and you can bet your ass he’s not gonna back down from CM Punk and he’s definitely not gonna back down from Bryan Danielson!

**Punk stares down at Danielson on the outside, until PERSONAL JESUS hits to a good reaction, although not as deafening as Punk’s and Danielson’s fierce rival, Austin Aries makes his way to the ring in a positive and upbeat fashion. Aries slides into the ring and makes eye contact with CM Punk before giving him a small nod, as he has no real personal beef with either of the men, he was just thrust into the Title match**

Styles: Austin Aries looks quite confident, but it’s definitely not going to be an easy task with both CM Punk and the self proclaimed “Best Wrestler in the World” Bryan Danielson gunning for the same title.

Artes: And from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 202 pounds, AUSTIIIIIIIIIIIIN ARIIIIIIIIIIIIIES!

Match 1
EPW Pacific Championship
Triple Threat Match
Bryan Danielson v CM Punk v Austin Aries

The referee calls for the bell as the Pacific Championship match starts out with the raucous “CM Punk” chants starting up again, before Bryan Danielson slides under the bottom rope cautiously and makes his way into the ring to join both Punk and Austin Aries. With all three competitors situated in the ring, they all start to circle the ring slowly, taking each other in and eyeing each other off as they all know what to expect of each other thanks to their vast backgrounds competing against each other in the Indies. After the three have all done two full 360 degree circles of the ring, CM Punk is the first to make a move as he steps toward the middle of the ring and surprisingly offers a test of strength, not just to one, but both of his opponents. Austin Aries accepts one of Punk’s hands, whilst Danielson begrudgingly accepts the other. Aries then offers his remaining hand to the American Dragon, which he accepts as well and the three combatants are locked up in an extremely awkward looking three-way test of strength. The men remain locked together, vying for position with none of them gaining any real advantage nor is the test of strength seeming to prove that any of the men has a real advantage, when suddenly Punk gives brief glance at Austin Aries and they release their lock on each other, whilst keeping their hands locked with Bryan Danielson, before they pull him in and deliver a Fisherman’s Suplex out of no where, but the move has little effect on Danielson and after clutching at his back momentarily he gets back to feet only to be grasped by both Aries and Punk, who whip him straight into the ropes and as he bounces off he gets grounded again by double back elbows from the duo of Austin Aries and CM Punk.

Danielson is down for what is already the second time in the match despite it only being in its early stages. He clutches at his forehead briefly before making it back to his feet to be met by both CM Punk and Austin Aries, yet again. The tandem whip Danielson against the ropes once more, and he bounces off but this time he ducks under an attempt at a double clothesline from both his opponents before charging at the adjacent ropes, flying off the middle rope and hitting a springboard crossbody to both Punk and Aries grounding them on the canvas which he then follows with the first cover of the match and the Pay Per View on his fierce rival Austin Aries…

…..

NO! ARIES KICKS OUT BEFORE THE REFEREE CAN EVEN COUNT TWO!

Danielson isn’t phased by the kick-out and he goes straight after Aries again. He brings him back to his feet, before striking him with two hard rights and whipping him against the ropes. Just when Danielson goes to set himself for Aries to bounce off, Punk catches him off guard with a school boy roll up!

NO! AUSTIN ARIES BREAKS IT UP WITH A STIFF KICK TO CM PUNK’S BACK!

With Punk down wrenching at his back, Aries stomps away at Danielson before assisting him back to his vertical base and applying a side headlock, but the American Dragon manages to push him off and into the ropes, as he shoots back Danielson takes him down with a perfectly executed standing dropkick! Danielson gets back to his feet instantly, but he is immediately confronted by CM Punk, who goes after him with some hard rights before Irish Whipping him hard into the corner and delivering a Charging High Knee, collecting Bryan Danielson right under the chin! As Danielson stumbles out of the corner, Punk continues the assault planting him with a Bulldog, as the crowd pop enthusiastically in support of their favourite! Punk rolls Danielson onto his back before attempting to pick up the win…

NO! Danielson gets his shoulder up, much to the dissatisfaction of the crowd!

Punk doesn’t let the kick-out get to him, as he immediately strikes Danielson with two hard elbows to stun him some more before going for another cover…

One

….

NO! Danielson kicks out again!

Punk climbs back to his feet, looking a little frustrated, when he turns and notices that Austin Aries is starting to climb back to his feet with his back to both his opponents and is currently sat up on one knee, when Punk suddenly charges across the ring and connects with a huge SHINING WIZARD much to the surprise of the crowd, who once again pop loudly in appreciation for CM Punk, as they begin to chant his name loudly once more, whilst Punk himself goes for the cover…

NO! DANIELSON BREAKS IT UP WITH A LOW DROP KICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF CM PUNK!!
The crowd boo loudly as Bryan Danielson stands tall over the two grounded faces. The American Dragon then makes the most of the opportunity and goes for the cover on Aries again…

ONE!

…..

NO! ARIES KICKS OUT THIS TIME!

The crowd cheer ecstatically knowing that Danielson won’t pick up the victory…just yet. Danielson reefs Aries back to his feet and immediately throws him headfirst through the middle rope and down to the outside.

Austin Aries crashes hard to the floor as Danielson turns his attention back to CM Punk who is just about back on his feet now, albeit very shakily. Danielson charges at Punk, but he catches him off guard with an arm drag as Danielson crashes to the canvas, but he is straight back up and charges at Punk again who brings him down with a second consecutive arm drag. Dragon makes his way up a little slower this time and when he gets back on his feet, the biggest man in the match, Punk, is there to meet him, the two lock up in a collar elbow tie up, with neither man gaining an advantage, until Danielson manages to shift his weight and gain the upper hand, as he manages to shift himself around behind the back of Punk before locking his arms around his waist, looking to deliver a German Suplex, but Punk puts up some resistance before bringing Danielson over his shoulder with a Snapmere and delivering a devastating low drop kick to the back of his head! The crowd roar in appreciation once again, as Punk goes for the cover…

NO! Danielson kicks out again.

Punk brings Danielson back to his feet, before Irish Whipping him into the turnbuckle again. He then charges at him and delivers a second charging high knee to Danielson! Knowing that Aries is still down on the outside, Punk doesn’t follow up the high knee with a Bulldog as usual, instead he bounces off the ropes, dashes across the ring in its entirety and flies through the second rope with a daring SUICIDE DIVE ON TO AUSTIN ARIES ON THE OUTSIDE WHO WAS JUST STARTING TO GET BACK TO HIS FEET!!!

Another CM Punk chant erupts loudly in the ballroom, as he makes it back to his feet again and slides back into the ring. Bryan Danielson climbs back to his vertical base to meet CM Punk, who immediately goes for a Clothesline, but Danielson ducks under it and manages to lock his arms around Punk’s waist from behind and is able to deliver a German Suplex this time! Punk clutches at his back in pain, as Danielson taunts the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd arrogantly which infuriates them as they inundate the American Dragon with boos and jeers. Punk climbs back to his feet slowly, whilst Dragon is taunting the crowd, but Danielson turns around at the right time and just when Punk makes it back to his feet, he charges at him and takes him down again with a running big boot! Danielson then seizes the opportunity with Aries still down on the outside to go for the cover…

NO! Punk gets a shoulder up!

Danielson punches the mat in frustration before mounting on top of CM Punk and punching away at him continuously. Danielson stands up directly over Punk now, and continues the assault, stomping away at his head and shoulder region before bringing him back to his feet and whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back, Danielson drops him to the mat again with a ROARING ELBOW! The crowd continue their barrage of jeers toward Danielson as he goes for the cover again…

…..

NO! PUNK GETS HIS SHOULDER UP AGAIN!!

Danielson hammers away at the grounded Punk some more, before he heads to the closest corner and ascends the turnbuckle, presumably looking for a Diving Headbutt, just when he looks set to leap off, Austin Aries suddenly climbs up on the apron and pushes Danielson off the turnbuckle and into the ring, as the crowd applaud in satisfaction. Aries then climbs the turnbuckle himself, looking suitably rested and flies off, delivering a huge FROG SPLASH TO BRYAN DANIELSON! Aries then attempts to pick up the pinfall…

NO! DANIELSON KICKS OUT!

Aries doesn’t let the kick-out bother him and he immediately brings Danielson back to his feet. Aries quickly picks the American Dragon up on his shoulders before delivering a Rolling Fireman’s Carry Slam to Danielson! Aries climbs back to his vertical base, and looks to head towards the turnbuckle, but CM Punk suddenly gets a grasp on him from behind and delivers a Belly to Back Suplex, grounding Austin Aries once more whilst the crowd cheer in appreciation that Punk is back up. With Danielson still laid out near the corner, Punk then makes his way to the turnbuckle and delivers a Split-Legged Moonsault to the American Dragon which he follows up with a cover…

NO! Danielson kicks out again.

Punk then acts quickly and locks in the ANACONDA VICE ON BRYAN DANIELSON!!!! The Ballroom goes absolutely nuts in unison with seeing the hold get locked in as Punk keeps the hold locked in tightly, as Danielson struggles and looks to break free BUT AUSTIN ARIES CLIMBS BACK TO HIS FEET AND BREAKS IT UP WITH A VICIOUS STOMP TO THE HEAD OF CM PUNK!!! The crowd reacts indifferently towards Aries as he brings Punk back to his feet and Irish Whips into the opposing corner. With Punk sat up in the corner, Aries charges at him and looks to hit a running corner dropkick but he moves out of the way the last minute and Aries collides with the turnbuckle in mid-air. Punk quickly wrenches the arm of Austin Aries and brings him back to his feet, before delivering a mule kick which plants Aries yet again. Punk then climbs to the middle rope and delivers a second Split-Legged Moonsault in a matter of minutes, this time to Austin Aries, as he goes for the cover…

NO! Aries kicks out easily!

Punk is visibly getting frustrated now, and once again he brings Aries back to his feet, and sets him up to deliver a DDT but suddenly Bryan Danielson rushes up behind him and delivers a DRAGON SUPLEX OUT OF NO WHERE!!!! Aries drops to the mat exhaustedly, while the crowd go absolutely ballistic at the sight of the move from Danielson. Dragon laughs at them arrogantly as he goes for the cover on Punk…

PUNK IS OUT OF IT!

NO! PUNK KICKS OUT AT 7/8’S!!!!!!

Danielson can’t believe it and neither can the crowd as CM Punk has just kicked out of one of Bryan Danielson’s finishers! Danielson argues with the referee that it was indeed three, when swiftly, Aries catches him from behind and plants him face first with a running bulldog! Aries situates himself behind Danielson, as he slowly climbs back to his feet, when he makes it back up, Aries wraps an arm around the waist of the American Dragon and DELIVERS A LEG HOOK SAITO SUPLEX!!! Danielson and Punk are both grounded now, with Aries the only man standing in the ring, as he hurriedly brings Danielson back to his feet, seemingly keen to act before CM Punk can make any sort of impact. Aries whips Danielson into the ropes, and as he shoots back, Aries manages to leapfrog over the top of Dragon and he bounces off the adjacent ropes as well but this time Aries meets him with a hard kick to the midsection before locking in a front facelock, hoisting him up and delivering a BRAINBUSTER! Aries neglects to go for the cover and instead climbs the nearest turnbuckle, before flying off and delivering the 450 SPLASH!!!! The crowd roars in support of Aries, as it seems he has this one tied up in going for the pinfall over Bryan Danielson…

NO!!!!! CM PUNK BREAKS IT UP!!!

Aries can’t believe it as Punk pulls him back to his feet by his arm before whipping him into the ropes, as he bounces back, Punk manages to hoist him up into a Fireman’s Carry momentarily before he drops Aries out in front of him and cracks his knee into the face of Austin Aries, delivering A DEVESTATING GTS! GO TO SLEEP!!! Punk then circles the ring, pumping up the crowd a little before standing Bryan Danielson back on his vertical base, delivering four hard martial arts chops, followed by a spinning reverse slap which has him leant up against the ropes, he then delivers a roundhouse kick to the side of the head of the American Dragon, sending him over the top rope and crashing to the floor on the outside. Punk directs his attention back to Austin Aries who is starting to stir, he stalks him from behind with his arms spread out wide as Aries makes his way up slowly, as soon as he makes it back to his feet, he turns into a huge URA-NAGE SLAM!!

Punk picks him from the mat immediately and Irish whips him into the corner before charging across the ring and delivering another charging high knee to Austin Aries! Punk then situates himself on the middle ropes as Aries stumbles out of the corner but Punk stops him in his tracks before setting him up and scoring with the patented PEPSI PLUNGE!!!! The crowd pops loudly once more as they begin to chant Punk’s name once more though instead of making the cover, Punk locks in the ANACONDA VICE ON AUSTIN ARIES!!!!!!!

Aries fights the hold for around ten seconds and just when it looks like he’ll be tapping out, Bryan Danielson slides back into the ring and attempts to break up the submission hold with a baseball slide but Punk sees it coming and releases it early instead causing Danielson’s baseball slide to kick ARIES STIFF IN THE FACE sending him down to the floor on the outside!!

Danielson makes it back to his feet, and as soon as he does CM Punk underhooks his arms and delivers THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK BACK BREAKER AS PUNK SCREAMS WELCOME TO CHICAGO MOTHERFUCKER WITH THE CROWD GOING CRAZY IN THE BACK GROUND!!!!!

The crowd continue their elatedness knowing this time knowing that nothing can stop Punk here other than a super human effort from Danielson. With the American Dragon down, Punk LOCKS IN THE ANACONDA VICE FOR THE SECOND TIME WITH NO HESITATION!!!!!!!

Winner & FIRST EVER EPW PACIFIC CHAMPION: CM Punk @ 13:32

Artes: Here is your winner, and FIRST EVER, Evolution Pro Wrestling Pacific Champion…C…M…PUNK!!!

Styles: He’s done it! CM Punk has done it!!! We have our first ever Pacific Champion, and I couldn’t think of anyone better!

Nash: I sure as hell could but credit where it’s due, Punk, along with Aries and Danielson, put on a hell of a match!

**MISERIA CANTARE hits to a massive ovation as the referee hands CM Punk the Pacific Title, which he gleefully accepts before ascending a turnbuckle and showing off his newly won title for the crowd. He then climbs down from the turnbuckle and turns around to see a visibly broken Austin Aries, who then offers his hand which after a moment, CM Punk accepts to a large applause from the crowd**

Styles: What an ending. Austin Aries showing real sportsmanship, it’s a shame we won’t see the same from Bryan Danielson.

Nash: That’s because Danielson knows that wrestling isn’t all about sportsmanship! He wanted that damn title, and I wouldn’t mind betting that this isn’t the last time we’ll see him battle for it!

**The camera heads backstage to find Maria standing by, looking as ditzy ever**

Maria: Hi, I’m Maria! I’m here with one of the three men that will be involved in the Elimination Triple Threat Match for the Final of the World Title Tournament tonight, RHINO!

- Rhino walks into picture to a big roar from the crowd -

Maria: Rhino, tonight you have the honour of being involved in the first ever match to crowd the EPW World Champion, what are your thoughts?

Rhino: My thoughts?

- Maria nods -

Rhino: I’ll tell you my thoughts. Not only am will I be competing in the first ever match for the EPW Title, but I WILL be leaving the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight as the FIRST EVER EPW Champion.

Maria: Your opponents are the Rated R Superstar - Edge and the Rabid Wolverine Chris Benoit. You’ve gotta pin them BOTH before you can call yourself the champion, that’s gonna be pretty tough!

Rhino: Tough?! Of course it’ll be tough. It’ll be a battle. Tonight I’m going to war with two other competitors who both have the same goal as I do, but unfortunately for them, there’s only ONE War Machine…there’s only ONE Man Beast...and…more specifically directed to Edge, there’s only ONE…Master of the Gore…and that man is me…RHINO!

Maria: Rhino, do you…

Rhino: (cutting Maria off) Tonight Edge, Benoit. You’re both going to bring your A games, but unfortunately that ain’t gonna be enough because no matter what either of you do, the result will be the same…GORE, GORE, G…

Voice: Yo…YO RHINO! MARIA!

- Homicide and Hernandez run into picture to a bunch of heat -

Homicide: Have either of ya’ll gringos seen K-Dawg? Or Juvi and Psicosis?

- Maria shakes her head apologetically while Rhino looks infuriated -

Homicide: (To Rhino) Woah. Chill ese, we mean no harm, we just tryin’ to find our boyz.

Rhino: (To Homicide & Hernandez) You two should know better than most, NEVER INTERUPT ME!! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

- Homicide & Hernandez had already started walking away as the crowd pops slightly for Rhino -

Rhino: EDGE! BENOIT! After tonight, you will both most definitely remember the name RHINO! Because the War Machine is walking out tonight as the FIRST EVER EPW World Champion courtesy of the GORE, GORE, GORE!!

**Rhino stares a hole through the camera before it shoots back to the arena where the fans are notably silent in preparation for the second match of the evening until HERE COMES THE PAIN hits and a huge chorus of jeers and boos break out in the Hammerstein Ballroom as the Next Big Thing, Brock Lesnar makes his way out for the Number 1 Contenders match looking focused and extremely confident. Lesnar makes his way slowly down the ramp, totally ignoring the crowds insults, as he jumps up on the apron in his usual fashion, before climbing through the ropes and ascending the turnbuckle to taunt that the belt will be his in time, as the crowd continue to boo him**

Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following is scheduled for One fall and it is to determine the first Number 1 Contender to the ECW Championship once it is decided later on tonight, introducing first, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing in at 295 pounds, THE NEXT BIG THING…BROCK LESNAR!

Styles: I think it’s fair to say that this man, Brock Lesnar has definitely been the most dominant figure in EPW since its birth, and it’s going to take a super human effort from Christian Cage tonight to defeat him.

Nash: That man, Lesnar, is going to stop at nothing until he takes the EPW Championship, and I tell ya what dude, I’m not gonna try and stop him!

**The heat continues on Lesnar until JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES/MY LAST BREATH hits and Christian Cage makes his way out with his Captain Charisma tracksuit on to a huge ovation. Christian stands at the top of the ramp, before slapping his chest, kissing his fingers before pointing them out to the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd. Cage makes his way down to the ring slowly, soaking up the cheers of the crowd who seem to be ecstatic to be seeing a match of this calibre so early on the card. Christian makes his way up the stairs and climbs through the ropes before taking off his tracksuit in preparation for the match to get under way**

Artes: And the opponent, now residing in Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 227 pounds, this is Captain Charisma….CHRISTIAN…CAGE!

Styles: Christian Cage certainly has his work cut out for him in this one, but he wants that EPW Championship more than anything, and he’s already pinned Lesnar once, so I think Brock will have to be on his game for this one, he can’t take Christian lightly.

Nash: You’re over rating Christian, Styles. Lesnar will destroy him and he’ll more than likely go on and take the EPW Championship off whoever wins it tonight, in 3 night’s time on Enslaved.

Styles: After what Rhino was just said moments ago, I think it’s going a hard task for both Edge and Benoit to pick up the title tonight. The Man Beast is focused, for mine, he’s the favourite tonight in our Main Event.

Match 2
Number 1 Contenders Match
Brock Lesnar v Christian Cage

The referee calls for the bell to ring to signify the start of the Number 1 Contenders Match. Christian Cage and Brock Lesnar stand off in opposing corners as Cage refuses to be intimidated by Lesnar, despite Lesnar’s threats in recent weeks. The stand off continues as Lesnar stands in his corner visibly breathing very heavily, whilst staying intently focused on Christian, who stares right into the eyes of Lesnar before his trademark grin spreads across his face and he slaps his chest twice to show his opponent that he won’t be backing down as the crowd get right behind Cage with a “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant starting out early on. Christian takes a step to his right and Lesnar does the same as the two begin to circle the ring as this one looks about to get under away, after the two have done two complete circles of the ring, they both head towards the middle and they go to lock up but Christian ducks under Lesnar’s arm and avoids it as the two stand off again with Christian slapping his chest twice once more, which seems to infuriate Lesnar as the crowd’s support behind Christian Cage continues. Lesnar goes to lock up again but Cage ducks under it for the second time, as he seems intent in getting into Lesnar’s head and putting him off his game. Lesnar advances again and this time he manages to lock up with Christian as he uses his strength advantage to power his Canadian opponent into the corner, but Christian refuses to relinquish the hold and grant the advantage to Lesnar as the two remain locked up in the corner, causing the referee to commence a 5 count, and he almost gets a clean break as both Cage and Lesnar break up, but Brock goes for a cheap right hand although once again, Captain Charisma sees it coming and he ducks right under the impending strike from the Next Big Thing, which riles Lesnar up even more as Christian just grins wryly at him.

Lesnar’s impatience and desperation to win the match prevails yet again, as he charges at Christian for the fourth time, but this time he takes him down with an unexpected drop toe hold, which plants Brock face first on the mat, as Christian starts to stomp away at the shoulder and neck region of his opponent. Captain Charisma brings him back to his feet and then whips Lesnar into the ropes, before unsuccessfully attempting a standing shoulder block which has no affect on Lesnar what so ever. Christian then shoots into the ropes himself and comes back looking for a crossbody, but Lesnar shows his dominance and catches Cage in mid-air before launching him with a Fall Away Slam. Lesnar goes straight after Christian with some hard rights to the grounded Captain Charisma, garnering the upper-hand for himself, before standing him up and Irish Whipping him hard into the corner. Lesnar charges across the ring at Cage looking for a spear in the corner but he manages to get out of the way of it at the last moment and Lesnar’s shoulder crashes into the steel ring post. Christian centres his offence on Lesnar’s shoulder again as he twists it into in an arm bar before dropping his elbow into his opponents shoulder twice causing Brock to drop down to one knee. Cage keeps the arm bar locked in on his bigger opponent and drives his elbow into the shoulder again, before he releases the hold and kicks Lesnar stiff in the spine, before stomping away at the shoulder and neck region once again. Lesnar makes it back to his feet gradually but is met by some hard rights from Christian. The Next Big Thing eventually blocks the fourth attempt and responds with a right of his own, before a kick to the mid-section as he whips Christian hard into the ropes and as he shoots back, Brock connects with a devastating Clothesline, which sends Cage crashing to the canvas, as Lesnar uses the time to build up some stamina after the assault on his shoulder. Christian makes is steadily back to his feet as he and Lesnar lock up momentarily until the Next Big Thing gains the upper-hand, securing Cage in a side headlock but Christian pushes him off and into the ropes, Lesnar bounces off and both men go for a shoulder block, but Brock’s strength advantage shines through, as Captain Charisma cannons into the mat again, which Lesnar follows with a lateral press…

One

….

NO! Christian kicks out comfortably.

Brock brings Christian back to his feet before throwing him into the ropes, but Cage manages to hang on to the top rope and stop his momentum. Lesnar charges at Christian, but he manages to pull down the top rope and send his adversary flying over the top of the rope and crashing to the outside. Brock Lesnar makes it back to his feet clutching at his shoulder, when Christian Cage suddenly FLIES OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CROSS BODY PLANCHA!!!! The crowd pops huge Cage lands right on top of Lesnar, causing both men to land hard on the outside, with crowd still going absolutely wild in appreciation for the risky move. Neither show any real signs of life as the referee commences the 10 count…1.......2……3……4……5…Christian slowly makes it back to his feet before he assists Lesnar back to his as well…6…7…The count is stopped by the referee as Christian rolls Lesnar back into the ring, before rolling under the bottom rope himself and then going straight after the shoulder of Lesnar again. Cage stomps away at Brock before assisting him back to his vertical base and whipping him into the corner, but Lesnar stops his momentum, preventing himself from crashing into the corner. Lesnar quickly makes his way out to the middle of the ring, to meet Cage face to face, and Christian goes to lock up, but this time Lesnar ducks under it, and whips Cage into the ropes, before delivering a DEVESTATING SPINEBUSTER!! Lesnar then falls on top of Christian and looks to pick up the win…

Two

….

NO! Christian gets his shoulder up.

Christian climbs back to his feet slowly and is immediately confronted by hard rights and lefts from his opponent, as he is forced into the corner again. Brock takes Christian’s head and goes to slam it against the top of the Turnbuckle, but he surprisingly blocks the assault and manages to smash Lesnar’s head against the top of the Turnbuckle instead. Brock stumbles out of the corner, before Christian slams Lesnar’s neck over the top of his shoulder, delivering a Neckbreaker, before going for the cover…

One

….
NO! Lesnar kicks out with ease!

Christian brings his larger opponent back to his feet, before quickly applying an inverted facelock before promptly delivering an Inverted DDT, planting Lesnar again. The crowd rises again in support of Christian who is still focusing the bulk of his attack on the neck and shoulder region of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar again gets back to his feet albeit slowly, only for Christian to lock in another inverted facelock, but this time he drops to one knee before delivering an inverted facelock neckbreaker, but Cage doesn’t released the hold, as he then delivers a second inverted facelock neckbreaker, inflicting further pain on Lesnar as the crowd continue to support Christian whole heartedly. Captain Charisma starts to stomp away at the shoulder region of Brock Lesnar once more, but he quickly brings him back to his feet, before whipping him into the corner. With Brock sat up in the corner, Cage charges at him but Lesnar manages to get an elbow up at the last minute and prevent the assault. Christian stumbles out of the corner, with his head in his hands following the high elbow, only for Lesnar to pick him up awkwardly, showing obvious signs of discomfort in the shoulder region and plant him on the canvas with a Scoop Powerslam, as the Next Big Thing tries to buy himself some time to recover from Christian’s recent onslaught.

Lesnar stalks Christian until he rises back to his feet. Brock acts quickly, whipping Cage into the ropes and as he shoots back he GETS MET OFF GUARD BY AN OVERHEAD BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX despite The Next Big Thing having an injured shoulder. Lesnar quickly follows it up with a cover…

NO! Christian kicks out!

Brock Lesnar climbs back to his feet, as does Christian, albeit a little slower and shakier. Cage is instantly met with a kick to the midsection from Lesnar, as he then sets Captain Charisma up before hoisting him up over his head and delivering a DEVESTATING POWERBOMB!!! But Lesnar doesn’t release the hold and lifts Christian up again looking for a second Power Bomb, but this time Cage manages to shift his weight slightly whilst above Lesnar’s head counter it into a HURRICANRANA OUT OF NO WHERE BRINGING OUT A MASSIVE POP FROM THE CROWD!!!! Cage is unable to capitalise however as he stays down on the mat, still feeling the ill effects from the earlier Powerbomb. Lesnar actually manages to make it back to his feet first, he then brings Christian back to his feet as well, before whipping him into the ropes, Christian shoots back, ducks under a clothesline attempt from Lesnar, bounces off the adjacent ropes and delivers a flying forearm to the face of Brock Lesnar.

Once again both men stay down in pain until they both make it back to their feet simultaneously, the two lock up in the middle of the ring, but yet again Lesnar’s strength advantage proves to much as he over powers Christian, forcing him up against the ropes this time, causing the referee to start the 5 count, but Lesnar breaks the hold in time to avoid disqualification. He then Irish Whips Christian into the corner, but gets his foot out early and prevents the collision in the corner, however before he can act further, Lesnar rushes up behind him and DELIVERS A HUGE GERMAN SUPLEX LAUNCHING CHRISTIAN HALF WAY ACROSS THE RING!!!

Lesnar acts promptly again, picking up the fallen Christian and hoisting him up on his shoulders in the Fireman’s Carry position. Brock holds him in the position momentarily before delivering a DEVESTATING F-5!!! Christian is planted face first on the canvas but his legs took out the referee in the process! Christian’s feet crashed into the face of the referee when he was being spun around by Lesnar, which made the official drop straight to the mat. Unaware to what’s occurred with the referee - Lesnar goes for the cover, as the crowd count the fall for him…

Lesnar eventually realises that the referee is not counting and looks up to see what the hell was going on. When he realises that the official is down, he immediately heads straight to the outside to retrieve a steel chair. Brock doesn’t hit Christian with it though, instead laying it down on the mat before his intentions the become clearer as he then sets Christian up for the F-5 again, he goes to administer the move but CHRISTIAN CAGE COUNTERS INTO A SWINGING DDT CRASHING LESNAR’S FACE INTO THE CHAIR! The crowd roar in approval, still cheering on Christian, as another “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant breaks out. Christian makes it back to his feet very slowly and gingerly before picking up Brock as well, he underhooks his opponents arms before DELIVERING THE UNPRETTIER TO LESNAR ON THE CHAIR NOW!!! Lesnar crashes face first on to the chair, busting him wide open. Fully aware that the referee is still down, Christian takes the chair and jams it in between the top and middle rope in the corner before making his way back over to Lesnar, who’s face is a crimson mask, picking him up and throwing him headfirst at the turnbuckle as his head crashes right into the chair. Christian pulls Lesnar out of the corner a little before making further use of the chair, setting it up on top of Lesnar before ascending the turnbuckle himself. Christian stands tall at the top of the turnbuckle, before flying off looking for the Frog Splash, but Lesnar actually manages enough strength TO THROW THE CHAIR UP IN THE FACE OF CHRISTIAN BEFORE HE CAN COMPLETE THE FROG SPLASH!!!!

With both men down and the referee still showing no signs of life, the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful get right behind Christian once again, trying to will him on. Captain Charisma is the first to stir as Lesnar didn’t get all of him with the chair, Christian slowly makes it back to his feet, but doesn’t bother going for the cover on Brock because the referee is still down, he instead focuses his attention on bringing the official back to life and after a few moments of shaking him, Cage simply grabs him by the collar and reefs him back to his feet before making his way over to the bloodied Lesnar. Cage looks to pick him up, but it seems that Brock may have been playing possum, as he unleashes a big boot to the face to Cage when he bent over to pick him up. Christian staggers backwards with his head in his hands, before turning his back on Lesnar, only for the Next Big Thing to rise to his feet again and start clubbing away at the back of Captain Charisma, forcing him over to the corner. Lesnar has Christian sat up in the corner, he gets a grasp on the middle rope either side of Cage before he starts to deliver repeated turnbuckle thrusts driving his uninjured shoulder hard into the stomach region of Christian Cage. The Next Big Thing pulls Cage out of the corner, before attacking his stomach and sternum region again, with some hard knees, after 4 brutal shots, Brock whips Cage into the ropes, as he shoots back Lesnar rocks him with a massive Spear! He hooks the leg of Cage and looks for the win…

Cage rises slowly as he looks to regain some momentum, he runs at the ropes again, and shoots off quickly but Lesnar is back on his feet and looks to hit some sort of Back Body Drop, but Cage reverses it into a Sunset Flip into a pinning situation…

Christian rises back to his feet very slowly and gingerly, demonstrating just how physical this one has been so far, before he delivers a hard low dropkick right to the face of his opponent, which lays him out on the mat again. Captain Charisma moves over to the corner and ascends the turnbuckle slowly, presumably looking to hit a high risk move, but suddenly Lesnar rises back to his feet and climbs to the top rope quickly himself and delivers a HUGE BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX OFF THE TOP ROPE!!! Christian goes flying almost to the opposite side of the ring as both he and Lesnar are down on the mat as the crowd roar in appreciation for the move.

NO! CHRISTIAN MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP!!!!!

The crowd goes wild, seeing Cage kick out after the Belly to Belly from the top rope, as the commentators begin to put over the resilience of Cage and how frustrated Lesnar is starting to become. Lesnar brings Christian back to his vertical base and lines him up for a Powerful Clothesline off only a few steps, but he ducks under it, however Lesnar manages to recover quickly and lock his arms around the waist of his opponent, in an attempt to deliver another German Suplex, but Cage blocks it once by hooking his leg around one of Lesnar’s he then punches away briefly at his tightly locked arms, as Brock seemingly loosens the hold a little - Christian surprisingly delivers an uncharacteristic MODIFIED STUNNER TO COUNTER THE GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Lesnar crashes to the mat, as does Christian who falls over as well, looking clearly drained.

After regaining some composure, Cage makes it back to his feet and begins to stomp away at Lesnar’s shoulder once again, to keep him grounded, whilst also buying himself some recovery time as he still seems to be feeling effects of the Belly to Belly from the top rope. The crowd starts another “CHRISTIAN CAGE” chant as they sense that he may have found an opening and this could well be the beginning of the end of this one.

Christian lifts Brock back to his feet, hooks his arms and pivots him so he is in position for the Unprettier, but Lesnar fights and actually manages to run Cage face first up against the ropes, causing him to release Lesnar who THEN HITS A GERMAN SUPLEX TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE as he was still positioned behind Christian’s back! Lesnar picks Cage up now, and sets him up for the F-5, with Captain Charisma in the Fireman’s Carry position, just before Lesnar can spin him around and complete the move, Cage manages to slide off his back before securing an Inverted Headlock, and delivering a second Inverted DDT for the match, and Christian has countered Brock Lesnar’s finisher for the second time tonight!! Christian then makes the cover…

NO! LESNAR GETS THE SHOULDER UP!

Christian looks on in amazement as this one continues on. Both men make it back to their vertical base, as they both lock up, but this time Christian manages to shift his weight and Irish Whip Lesnar hard into the corner. With Brock sat up in the corner, Cage then climbs up the turnbuckle behind him as he then locks in another Inverted Facelock, from the top of the turnbuckle this time, only to then deliver A DEVESTATING CCT!!! This makes it clear that Christian is still centring his attack on the neck and shoulder region of Brock Lensar, in an attempt to make it hard for him to hit the F-5. Captain Charisma brings Brock, who is still has blood covering his face although it is much drier now, back to his feet as the crowd continue their support for Christian. Cage gets a grasp of Lesnar, before driving his shoulder into the steel turnbuckle, inflicting further punishment to the Next Big Thing’s shoulder. Lesnar staggers slowly back to his feet only for Christian to throw him through the middle rope and down to the floor on the outside, as Brock’s injured shoulder takes almost the full force of the impact on the floor. Christian slides under the bottom rope, and immediately goes after Lesnar, whipping him hard into the Steel Steps at ring side, with Brock’s injured shoulder crashing hard into the steps.

Christian then gets a grip of Lesnar’s head and slams it hard against the top of the Steel Steps, before rolling Lesnar on to the top of the steps, hitting him with 3 clubbing fists across his vast chest in order to keep him down on the stairs. Christian rolls back into the ring briefly to break the count momentarily, which was at 7, before he rolls back to outside and climbs the steps himself. He stands Lesnar up, whilst still on the steel steps, over hooks his arms and then delivers the UNPRETTIER ON THE STEEL RING STEPS PLANTING HIM FACE FIRST!!! A massive “WHOLY SHIT” chant breaks out in the Ballroom. Christian once again rolls back under the bottom rope to break the referees count again, which was at 8. He then rolls back under the rope and back to the outside, only to bring Brock Lesnar who is now bleeding profusely once again back into the ring. Christian makes the most of the opportunity of Lesnar still being down following the Unprettier on the steel steps and goes for the immediate cover

CHRISTIAN CAGE HAS DONE IT!!!! HE’S MANAGED TO CONQUER THE MOUNTAIN THAT IS BROCK LESNAR!!!

Winner: Christian Cage @ 18:04

Artes: Here is your winner, CHRISTIAN CAGE!

Styles: Christian Cage has finally done it! He’s pulled off the huge upset and defeated Brock Lesnar to become the Number 1 Contender to the EPW World Title when it’s holder is decided upon later tonight!

**Cage rises slowly off Lesnar before JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES/MY LAST BREATH hits and he ascends to turnbuckle to celebrate as the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd give him a huge ovation. Cage slides out of the ring, and heads up the aisle before standing up the top of the ramp and gesturing that the title will be his as the camera goes backstage finding Christy Hemme**

Christy: With me at this time is Muhammad Hassan. Your match with Colt Cabana is up next, how have you prepared?

Hassan: How have I prepared? I don’t need to go out of my way to prepare any differently for a match against someone that is the calibre of…Colt Cabana.

Christy: So you’re confident?

Hassan: Of course I’m confident. When you look at me, you’re looking at greatness. Muhammad Hassan has absolutely no reason at all not to be confident.

Christy: Can I get your thoughts on the assault of Sonjay Dutt by Colt and CM Punk this past Wednesday on Enslaved?

Hassan: I’m glad you asked. The beating that Punk and Cabana dealt Sonjay Dutt last week was one of the most despicable acts I have ever witnessed and quite simply I blame each and everyone of the fans in the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight. If Punk wasn’t so concerned with getting you people on his side this would never have taken place!!

- Heat -

Hassan: Punk knows I’m the most hated man in EPW when I walk out into that bingo hall out there and he knows the easiest way to get those degenerates on his side is to harm someone that is aligned with me.

- Hassan pauses for a moment -

Hassan: I know Punk instigated this to send me a message. Well I’ve got a message for you Punk, this Wednesday night on Enslaved, you’re going ONE on ONE with Sonjay Dutt and believe me you won’t have the same luck against him that you had in your match earlier tonight.

- Slight heat -

Hassan: Once I’m done making an example out of Colt Cabana tonight, Punk, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your brand new Pacific Title and it’s going to be coming to the arms of a man that truly deserves championship gold, a man that will represent EPW with Honour and Dignity, the GREAT MUHAMMAD HASSAN!

**Daivari then grabs the mic and blurts out something in farsci bringing a confused expression from Christy before the camera then shoots to another backstage location, once again with Homicide and Hernandez**

Homicide: Yo! Paulie! Have ya’ll seen Konnan tonight?

- Huge pop as Paul Heyman appears on screen -

Heyman: Homicide, I haven’t and you can refer to me as Mr. Heyman in future, thank you.

Homicide: Whatever ya say Paulie.

***The camera then swings back to the arena when ARABIC PRAYER hits to a raucous ovation from the Hammerstein Ballroom, as Muhammad Hassan makes his way arrogantly out to the top of the ramp, obviously without Sonjay Dutt, following the beating that he endured from CM Punk on Wednesday night but still with Daivari at his side, yelling obscenely in his native language with Hassan standing at the top of the ramp taunting the crowd which irritates them even more. The duo slowly start to make their way down to the ring, amidst a huge USA chant starting out in the crowd***

Artes: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL! Introducing first, accompanied by his manager, Daivari, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 243, Muhammad Hassan!

Nash: Oh and what a shame, that other piece of crap, Sonjay Dutt, couldn't make it tonight. I guess Punk and Cabana beat him real good.

***The crowd continues to berate Hassan as he is receiving far more heat than anyone else has so far this evening before COPA CABANA hits to a surprisingly big pop, as Colt Cabana makes his way out in his usual upbeat fashion, dressed in his jacket and sunglasses, dancing away to his music, high-fiving the fans on the way down to the ring***

Artes:] And the opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 239 pounds, COLT…CABANA!

Match 3
Singles Match
Muhammad Hassan v Colt Cabana

The match starts off with Colt Cabana in his corner, still in his upbeat mood, while Muhammad Hassan is in the opposing corner, looking much more focused and intent on dominating Cabana. After a few moments, the crowd begins a “COLT CABANA” chant, which brings about more bopping from Colt as he has a big smile on his face.

The two men eventually move to the centre of the ring, and after a brief stare down, they lock up in a collar elbow tie up, both combatants battle to come out of top, as Hassan shifts his weight to try and force Colt into the corner, before Cabana then shifts his weight to stop Hassan’s momentum. The two remain in the tie up, and continue to battle to via for the advantage before Hassan breaks it up, with a disgruntled look on his face. Cabana then offers a test of strength to Hassan, which he cautiously accepts. The two lock it in, with Hassan gaining the upper hand, looking to force Colt into the corner once more, but yet again Cabana shifts his weight and gains the advantage, this time driving Hassan into the opposing corner, showing that he does have a strength advantage over the slightly taller Hassan. Cabana has Hassan in the corner, striking him with an elbow to the jaw, followed by a high knee to the same spot on the face of Hassan. The referee begins a five count and just when it looks like he is going to get a clean break from Colt, after he took 3 steps back, he then delivers a missile dropkick to Hassan out of no where, amidst a massive pop from the crowd.

Colt helps Hassan back to his feet, and then whips him into the ropes, and Hassan flies back, he is floored by a huge clothesline from his opponent. Colt then runs at the ropes himself, jumps at the second rope, attempting to hit a Springboard Moonsault, but Hassan rolls out of the way, as Colt crashes and burns on the canvas. Hassan moves quickly, stretching Cabana out from behind, before driving his knee into Colt’s spine, after keeping the hold locked in for a few seconds, Hassan brings Cabana back to his feet, before picking him up and planting him again with a Bodyslam. Hassan then drops an elbow into the chest of Cabana, following it up with a lateral press…

NO! Colt kicks out at a very optimistic attempt to pick up the win from Muhammad Hassan.

Hassan doesn’t seem too bothered by Cabana kicking out and he acts quickly, sitting his opponent up and locking in a headlock on the grounded Cabana. Hassan keeps the hold locked in tightly, as the crowd starts up a “USA” chant much to the disgust of Hassan. Hassan maintains the hold, wrenching it and pulling it as tight as possible but just when Colt begins to face he starts to show signs of fight and slowly begins to try and bring himself back to his vertical base, when Colt gets back to one knee, Hassan releases the hold and hits a clubbing blow to the neck his adversary, dropping him to the mat once more. Hassan then stomps away at the back of Colt’s neck before raising him back to his feet and throwing him into the ropes, Hassan sets up to hit a back body drop, but he sets himself too early and Colt kicks him square in the face, dropping both Hassan and Colt himself back to the mat, as he clutches at his neck following Hassan’s stomping away at him. Colt then gets back to his feet with the crowd still heavily cheering him on, he stalks Hassan and once he gets back to his vertical base, Colt takes him down just as quickly with a running lariat, followed by another as Hassan got up straight away, unaffected by the first, with Hassan now grounded again, Colt shoots into the ropes and as he rebounds back he drops the knee into the chest of his opponent, before standing up again and delivering the Bionic Elbow, right to the centre of Hassan’s head, before going for the second cover of the match…

Colt Cabana brings Hassan back to his feet, whips him into the ropes, then goes for a standing shoulder block, but Hassan stands tall from it, after the two clash in the middle of the ring. Hassan then connects with a hard right, which Colt responds in kind, Hassan starts to hammer away at Colt forcing him towards the corner, before Colt ducks through under a swing, and then whips Hassan into the opposite corner. With Hassan in the sat up in the turnbuckle, Colt then charges at him, scoring with a running double knee attack, as Hassan drops to the mat once more. Colt then climbs to the second rope, flies off and lands a Leg Drop across the neck area of Hassan, which he follows up with a cover…

Colt rises back to his feet and immediately begins to stomp away at Hassan, intend on keeping him grounded. Cabana rolls him over on to his face and then attempts to lock in his modified inverted Texas Cloverleaf, Canadian Bacon Leaf. After Hassan put up a bit of resilience, Colt gets the hold locked in, as the crowd pops in unison. Hassan is battling to get out, but Cabana is determined to keep the hold locked in on Hassan, who refuses to submit! Hassan stretches out his arm in hope of reaching the rope, but realises he’s still an inch away, so he tries to physically drag himself over to the ropes, and after a brief battle, he reaches out with his right arm and gets a tight grip on the bottom rope, before yelling out “I’ve got the rope! I’ve got the damn rope! Release the hold!” but Colt keeps it locked in, as the referee then begins to make the 5 count!

Colt Cabana finally releases the hold, much to the satisfaction of Hassan.

Colt brings Hassan back to his feet, in a very unstable fashion, and then goes to lock up but Hassan counters with a poke to the eye, which sends Colt stumbling backward into the ropes, as the referee warns Hassan who then starts arguing madly with him, over such a small issue, causing the crowd start booing the hell out of him some more.

Suddenly, Hassan’s manager, Daivari enters the ring, with a steel chair in hand. He then heads straight over to Colt, before raising the chair above his head, about to hit strike but Cabana releases the top rope that he was using to keep himself standing and falls straight to the ground just as the chair Daivari swung at Colt, hit the top rope, bounced back, cracks him in the head, knocking him out cold in the process!!!! Naturally this brings about a massive pop and a “YOU FUCKED UP” chant from the crowd.

Hassan stops arguing with the referee for a moment as he sees that Daivari is down on the mat, before then starting to argue with him again but over Daivari’s downfall this time, stating that it was in fact Colt’s wrong-doing. Colt then rushes up behind Hassan, locks his wrists and delivers a huge GERMAN SUPLEX OUT OF NO WHERE SHUTTING THE LOUD MOUTH UP VERY PROMPTLY!!! He brings him back to his feet, whips him into the ropes, but as Hassan shoots back, he is one step ahead of his rival and knocks him to the floor with an unexpected drop kick, but he is unable to capitalise as it clearly took all of Hassan’s remaining energy to perform the manoeuvre.

Punk makes his way slowly down the aisle, still dressed with his wrestling trunks on, but with a jacket on and his newly won Pacific Championship draped over his shoulder. The commentators point out that Punk and Hassan have had issues in recent weeks, with Hassan tapping out to Punk’s Anaconda Vice submission hold in a Tag match a few weeks ago, whilst Hassan beat the hell out of Punk on separate occasions.

Punk slowly makes his way down the aisle with a wry smile on his face, slapping the title, still draped over his shoulder. Hassan then starts to shout and point at Punk, before turning his attention back to Cabana, picking him up, applying a side headlock before planting Colt once more with a DDT this time, all the while Hassan looks cockily at Punk. Hassan makes his way straight back to his feet and stands over the fallen body of Colt Cabana, whilst still keeping his eyes locked on CM Punk.

Punk lets out a small laugh at Hassan before making his way to the still fallen body of Daivari, following the chair shot earlier in the match, Punk picks him up in a hasty fashion, showing little regard for Daivari’s well-being. The Pacific Champion then takes his brand new title off his shoulder, and CRACKS IT AGAINST THE SCULL OF DAIVARI!!!!! Thus ending him plummeting to the floor, splitting him wide open in the process! Hassan furiously makes his way over to the ropes and begins to sling all kinds of abuse at Punk, as he just casually points for Hassan to turn around, as Colt Cabana is now back on his feet and he connects with an unexpected running Lariat on Muhammad Hassan just as he turned around. Colt leaps at the second rope, bouncing off in an attempt to hit a Springboard Moonsault on Hassan, but he rolls out of the way at the last moment.

Hassan looks to inflict further insult on to Cabana, before he notices that CM Punk now has the Anaconda Vice locked in on Daivari at ringside, who is tapping out like a mad-man with the crowd going wild. Hassan makes his way over to the ropes, and attempts to climb through only for Colt to bring him to a halt and bring him back into the ring. Colt connects with two hard right hands, before Irish Whipping him into the Turnbuckle and connecting with a running double-knee attack. Colt then brings him out of the corner and whips Hassan into the ropes now, as he shoots back, both competitors have the same intention and go for a standing shoulder block, but neither budges.

The two men face off as Cabana points down at CM Punk on the outside, who still has the Anaconda Vice locked in on Daivari. Hassan takes the bait, and looks down at Punk, as Colt grabs him from behind, and goes for a school boy roll up…

Nash: That’s all well and good Styles, but it would never have happened if not for CM PUNK! I’m not a fan of Muhammad Hassan at all, but I think it’s fair to say that he certainly had Colt Cabana’s number before CM Punk made his arrival.

Styles: That maybe so, but I think once again, CM Punk has demonstrated his relentlessness towards Hassan, Daivari and Dutt. He’s now taken out Dutt and Daivari, which means that there’s only one left. Hassan is next for CM Punk.

Jericho: Who the hell are you? No I haven’t seen Konnan. He’s not someone I go out of my way to look for, now hit the breaks Junior, I’ve got a match with a fat Samoan to prepare for.

**The two continue their search when they bump into Bryan Danielson, nursing a sore head**

Homicide: Dragon, have you seen Konnan holmes?

Danielson: No.

**Homicide and Hernandez then become noticeably frustrated when they then see two masked figures run out of a room quickly. They charge down the hallway and enter the room to find Konnan laid out on the ground with his trademark slapjack draped out across his chest as he is bleeding a little from his head**

Homicide: K-Dawg! K-Dawg! We’re gonna get those gringos ese. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team are gonna be the first victims of the LAX Revolution in EPW!!

**Hernandez and Homicide look pumped before leaving the room and making their way out to the ring for their match as Hernandez questions Homicide where the hell Juvi and Psicosis could be?**

Nash: It looks as if the Worlds Greatest Tag Team has tried to level the odds here tonight! First Psicosis and Juventud go missing, and now K-Dawg has been laid out! Cowards, that’s the only way I can sum up Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas right now, DAMN COWARDS!

Styles: Calm the hell down, we don’t even know for sure that this is the work of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

Nash: Who ELSE would it have been, Styles?! WHO ELSE!?

**The camera then heads back to the arena, which is now littered with Ladders as WORLDS GREATESThits and the Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas make their way out in their red, white and blue ring attire to a semi-decent reaction from the Ballroom crowd in preparation for their Ladder Match for the Tag Titles, the two stand at the top of the ramp in an attempt to hype the crowd up a little bit more, but it is seemingly unsuccessful as the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful just don’t really buy into the WGTT. The duo make their way down the aisle quickly, as they both take quick glimpses at 3 of the Ladders at ringside, before sliding into the ring, ascending a turnbuckle each in an attempt to further liven up the crowd once more**

Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen the following is a Ladder Match and it is for the EPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!! Introducing first, weighing in at a combined weight of 495 pounds…Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas…THE WORLDS GREATEST TAG TEAM!

Styles: You’d have to consider this pairing to be the favourites for this match up. They won the best of three series, they picked a match type that they a very likely to excel in, and I find it hard to see how they can be disadvantaged at all during this match.

**Benjamin and Haas continue to try and hype up the crowd a little more, but DAWGZ hits to a massive ovation of boos and jeers as the crowd seemingly find their life again, as they continue to express their hatred for the heels that have been involved in the matches so far tonight. Homicide and Hernandez, looking very pissed off, make their way out, minus Konnan, Juvi & Psicosis as a few cheers can be heard from the crowd as well. There are three ladders situated at the very top of the aisle and Hernandez gives a brief nod to Homicide before he picks up one of the three ladders**

Artes: And the opponents, making their way to the ring, representing the Latin American Exchange, HERNANDEZ AND HOMICIDE!

Styles: You’d definitely have to think that the momentum has swung drastically against these two in recent weeks, and now tonight as well with Konnan being beaten down backstage as well as Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis, seemingly going missing…HOLD ON! HERE WE GO! AS HERNANDEZ IS WASTING LITTLE TIME!!

Match 4
Tag Team
Ladder Match
EPW World Tag Team Championships
The Latin American Exchange, Homicide & Hernandez v The Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas

Hernandez has picked up the ladder and the two immediately sprint down to the ring, as the referee calls for the bell to signify the start of the match with the EPW Tag Titles hanging above the ring.

Hernandez and Homicide make it down to the ring, as the bigger of the two LAX members, Hernandez looks to slide the ladder under the bottom rope in order to get it into the ring, but it is met by a LOW DROP KICK FROM CHARLIE HAAS, CRASHING THE LADDER INTO THE FACE OF HERNANDEZ!!! With the crowd going nuts for the opening exchange of the match, Shelton Benjamin FLIES OVER THE TOP ROPE, LANDING A CROSSBODY PLANCHA ON TO HOMICIDE!!!!! The crowd go wild early on in appreciation for the start of this match. With the LAX down, the Worlds Greatest Tag Team looks to act quickly and pick up the win early on. The two pick up the ladder and slide it into the ring, with Shelton directing Haas’ around the ring with the ladder, but surprisingly Hernandez is already back on his feet and is pulling at the other end of the ladder, vying for possession with Charlie Haas. Benjamin eventually realises what’s going on, and starts pulling at the ladder as well but the two combined fail to pry the ladder from the grip of Hernandez as he stands tall on the outside, showcasing his strength, despite the fact he has two opponents in the ring, who are hardly small, trying to pull the ladder from his grip. As the three continue to battle for possession of the ladder, Homicide climbs up on the apron, surprisingly drawing little attention from the WGTT, he directs Hernandez to quickly release the ladder, before hitting a LEG DROP ON THE LADDER CAUSING IT TO CRASH UP IN THE FACE OF BOTH MEMBERS OF THE WORLDS GREATEST TAG TEAM!!

Homicide stays down on the outside momentarily clutching at his hamstring region as it took the full brunt of the ladder, as the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd totally eat up the very early exchanges of this match early on. The only man still on his feet, Hernandez, quickly climbs into the ring and goes straight after both of his opponents, he first stands Charlie Haas up and Irish Whips him hard into one corner before standing Shelton Benjamin up and Irish Whipping him hard into the opposite corner. Hernandez then charges across the ring at Haas and drives his shoulder right into his sternum with a massive spear in the corner, before charging over towards Benjamin as well and delivering a massive squash clothesline as Hernandez takes control and dominates the match early on. The crowd unexpectedly cheer on Hernandez on his early rampage, as they are seemingly appreciative for some fast paced, physical competition early on in the match. The biggest man in the match, Hernandez, starts to hammer away at Shelton in the corner with some hard lefts and rights, he delivers a couple of hard elbows to the neck area of Benjamin before setting him up, seemingly for a Belly to Belly Suplex, but the other half of the WGTT, Charlie Haas rushes up behind Hernandez and locks his arms around his waist, and after a bit of a struggle, he shows great strength, delivers a huge German Suplex to Hernandez, who didn’t release his hold either, as he still managed to execute his Belly to Belly Suplex to Shelton Benjamin, seemingly made more forceful with the assistance of the German Suplex from Haas as SHELTON LANDS BACK FIRST ON THE LADDER which is still in the ring, whilst the crowd continue to go wild in appreciation for the action that this match has produced in only it’s early exchanges!

Homicide is back in the ring now, and after a brief glance down at Shelton Benjamin, he goes straight after Charlie Haas with three hard rights, before ducking under an attempt at a right from Haas and whipping him into the ropes, as he then meets him with a high elbow, dropping one half of the WGTT to the canvas. Haas gets back to his feet immediately as both he and Homicide lock up and battle for the advantage, which Charlie eventually garners, by managing to shift his weight and lock in a side headlock only for Homicide to push him off and into the ropes but as he bounces off, he takes the Notorious one down with a running shoulder block which he follows up with a drop of the elbow to his sternum. Hernandez is back up, whilst Shelton remains down, clutching at his back following his heavy collision with the ladder. Hernandez immediately goes after Haas, preventing further attack on his partner with a clubbing blow to the back of the head, before throwing him through the middle rope and down to the floor. He then goes straight for the ladder, setting it up directly under the tag belts that are suspended in mid-air, as the crowds support is still seemingly torn here, with them still eating the match up. Hernandez begins to climb the 12 rung ladder as Shelton Benjamin finally begins to stir…

Homicide stands guard to prevent Haas from re-entering the ring, unaware of what’s happening behind him.

SHELTON BENJAMIN goes from lying on the ground, stirring slightly to leaping up to his feet at a ridiculously quick rate as he seems to have been playing possum for a moment or two, to regain some stamina.
…..7 rungs to go…..
Shelton rushes up behind Homicide and taps him on the shoulder as he turns around he is greeted with a T-BONE EXPLODER SUPLEX OUT OF NO WHERE FROM BENJAMIN, WHILST HERNANDEZ HAS CONTINUED UP THE LADDER!
…..5 rungs to go…..
Shelton then quickly makes his way over to the other side of the ladder, ascends it, only to be met by a hard fist from Hernandez, stunning him momentarily, before showcasing his pure athleticism, and propelling himself over the top of the ladder and over Hernandez with a sunset flip, into a POWERBOMB TO HERNANDEZ OFF THE LADDER AS THE CROWD POP MASSIVELY WHILY HERNANDEZ CRASHES AND BURNS!!!
Haas slides back into the ring, under the bottom rope and both he and Benjamin slap hands in celebration before immediately centring their attack on Hernandez again, as they look to take out the bigger of their TWO opponents, whilst the ladder is still set up in the ring. The duo bring him back to his feet, before whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back the WGTT go to bring him down with a double flapjack, but instead of crashing straight to the mat, he crashes into the standing ladder, knocking it over on his path to the canvas. Homicide rises back to his feet and immediately goes after Shelton, but after only two punches, the numbers game proves to be two much for him, as both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team manage to ware him down with some dominant, clubbing blows.

Haas makes his way over to the ladder, picks it up and sets it up in the corner before making his way over to Hernandez, picking him up as well and walking him over to the corner, holding him up against the ladder, as he directs his partner to hit the Stinger Splash. Shelton charges across the ring and just at the last moment, HERNANDEZ MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND PULLS HAAS INTO THE IRING LINE AS HE ENDURES THE FULL FORCE OF A STINGER SPLASH FROM HIS PARTNER, SHELTON BENJAMIN UP AGAINST THE UNFORGIVING LADDER!! Benjamin stumbles backwards in shock after hitting the splash on his own partner, only to be almost beheaded by a MASSIVE clothesline from Hernandez! Shelton crashes straight to the mat, as both Hernandez and the now vertical Homicide, begin stomping away at him in an attempt to further weaken him and increase their chances of ending this match quickly. With both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team grounded, Hernandez slides to the outside to retrieve another ladder, as Homicide locks in a headlock on the grounded Benjamin in order to further weaken him even more and keep him immobile. Haas has made it back to his feet and straight away directs his attention to Homicide but before he can as much as get a stomp away, he is CRACKED IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD by Hernandez, who is wielding his new ladder. Hernandez picks up the fallen Haas and throws him hard into the corner, before ordering Homicide to bring Shelton Benjamin, who is badly feeling the effects of the sleeper hold from Homicide, over and lay him out on the ladder, but instead the Notorious locks in a front facelock on Benjamin before hitting a FALCON ARROW LANDING SHELTON HARD ON THE LADDER!! Benjamin’s back is well and truly battered and damn near broken as he clutches at it and screams in obvious pain while Hernandez retrieves the other Ladder that was still in the ring and slams it down on top of Shelton Benjamin with a degree of force before ordering Homicide to put weight on the top ladder and prevent Benjamin from getting out of this unusual predicament.

With Shelton Benjamin sandwiched between two ladders, Homicide sitting on top of them and the crowd as well as the commentators wondering what the hell they are planning, Hernandez directs his attention back to Charlie Haas who now has blood slowly dripping down the side of his face as the top of his head seems to be split open from the savage Ladder shot earlier. Hernandez hits two hard rights to Haas before crashing his head into the top of the turnbuckle, he then climbs to the middle rope, sets Haas between his legs and hoists him up above his head before extending his arms to their maximum length and delivering a BRUTAL BORDER TOSS FROM THE MIDDLE ROPE DOWN ON TO THE LADDERS WHICH HAS SHELTON BENJAMIN BETWEEN THEM!! The crowd go absolutely wild, with a huge “WHOLY SHIT!” chant breaking out while Joey Styles lets out a shrieking “OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD!!!” before both he and Nash put over the arm strength of Hernandez and they question who would have been injured worse in that instance - Benjamin or Haas??

Both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team are not surprisingly down and out in the middle of the ring, as Homicide looks on seemingly a little shocked at the brutality he just saw from Hernandez, the latter then takes the Ladder, sets it up under the Tag Titles and begins to climb it as Homicide looks on underneath…

WHAT’S THIS?! HOLD ON! NO WAY! HERNANDEZ IS KNOCKED DOWN AFTER JUVENTUD SPRINGBOARDED OFF THE TOP ROPE AND MISSILE DROPKICKED THE LADDER! WHILE PSICOSIS LEAPT OVER THE TOP ROPE AND SIMULTANEOUSLY TOOK DOWN HOMICIDE WITH A HURRICANRANA!!

The crowd are in shock as they don’t know what to think after seeing Juvi and Psicosis double-cross their team mates! The reaction is seemingly split as Juventud sets up the Ladder AND STARTS TO CLIMB IT!! Juvi and Psicosis are looking for some reason, to steal the Tag Titles! The crowd still look on stunned at what they are seeing from Juventud Guerrera! Juvi is 5 rungs up the ladder when Homicide makes it back to his feet following the Hurricanrana from Psicosis and quickly rushes the ladder, pushing it over and preventing Juventud from stealing the Tag Titles!! Guerrera crashes to the mat as Psicosis advances at Homicide, looking for a diving spinning heel kick, but he manages to avoid it, resulting in Psicosis crashing into the mat as well but he immediately sits up before Homicide connects with a huge SHINING WIZARD KNOCKING HIM OUT COLD!! He then wastes little time in bringing Psicosis back to his feet and connects with the GRINGO KILLA!!! The crowd pops huge for the move as Homicide then throws the broken body of Psicosis out of the ring with force. Hernandez has made it back to feet and he immediately goes after Juventud – hoisting him up and delivering a brutal powerbomb! The Worlds Greatest Tag Team begin to stir slightly, although it is obvious that they are both in excruciating pain as Hernandez hoists a broken Juvi up on his shoulders in the Electric Chair position, before Homicide sets a ladder up behind him and climbs it quickly, right to the top. In what is a move that’s putting his own body at risk as well, HOMICIDE THEN DELIVERS AN ELEVATED DIVING BULLDOG FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!!! The two then crash into the floor down on the outside as another massive “WHOLY SHIT” chant breaks out from the crowd who are still eating up this match. Both men are down on the outside, with Juventud taking the majority of the fall, as Hernandez looks down on them both from the ring. Both Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, covered in blood, are back on their feet and they are both standing gingerly behind Hernandez, also looking down to the floor, as Haas can be visibly seen asking Shelton “what the hell is going on?” whilst still clutching his head. Suddenly Hernandez turns around, but the WGTT catch him off guard with a double kick to the mid section before they deliver a Fisherman’s Suplex to perfection on the big man, sending him crashing into the canvas but the Worlds Greatest Tag Team can’t capitalise as they both fall to the mat still obviously feeling some unpleasant effects from their recent bumps. The camera pans down on to Juventud and Homicide again, who are still down on the outside, before moving to Psicosis who doesn’t seem to have moved either until it eventually heads back to the action in the ring where Charlie Haas is back on his feet hammering away at the grounded Hernandez before beginning to lock in the HAAS OF PAIN thus allowing Shelton Benjamin an easy route to the ladder and the Tag Titles!! Shelton begins his journey up the ladder, as Haas successfully gets the submission manoeuvre locked in on Hernandez...

Shelton Benjamin crashes hard to the canvas, as Homicide then kicks Charlie Haas hard, stiff in the back, breaking up the Haas of Pain!!! Hernandez has a noticeable look of relief on his face as his partner brings Haas back to his feet and meets him with two hard rights before whipping him into the ropes, as he shoots back the Notorious One attempts the Brooklyn Lariet, but Haas ducks under it and quickly locks his arms around the waist of Homicide before delivering a German Suplex! Hernandez is back up and despite obviously favouring one of his legs, he charges at Haas but Charlie is one step ahead of his bigger rival and he takes him down with an Arm Drag, but Hernandez is straight back up and he charges at him again, looking for a clothesline this time, but Haas manages to duck under that as well, and once again he locks his arms around waist of Hernandez from behind and administers a SECOND GERMAN SUPLEX IN A MATTER OF MINUTES!

Haas quickly sets up the ladder under the Championship Belts and makes his way up…

Homicide starts to strike Haas with some hard rights at the top of the ladder, before getting a grip of his hair, and slamming his head against the top of the ladder, but it fails to knock the bloodied Haas off, he is however stunned so Homicide makes a move at the titles, reaching out but he can’t quite get a grasp on them, suddenly he is met by a flurry of punches to the stomach and face by Haas as he sends Homicide plummeting down from the ladder.

Haas has taken another step up the ladder and is now comfortably within reaching distance of the EPW World Tag Team Championships, but suddenly Hernandez pushes the ladder out from underneath him causing Charlie to crash into the mat. The bigger member of the Latin American Exchange acts promptly, picking Haas straight up and whipping him hard at the ropes, but he manages to hang on to the top rope to stop his momentum momentarily, but Hernandez is quick to deliver a devastating clothesline, sending Haas flying to the outside. Hernandez briefly looks down on Haas, when suddenly Shelton Benjamin rushes up behind him and starts to hammer away at his immense back, but Hernandez over powers him and throws Shelton between the middle and top rope and down to the outside landing on top of his partner. Both members of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team slowly climb back to their feet, but suddenly Hernandez bounces off the ropes and charges across the ring and dives through the top and middle ropes as well as he takes them both back down with a SUICIDE DIVE!!

All three men are down on the outside now, which is minus Juventud Guerera and Psicosis who were assisted from ringside by EMT’s only moments earlier as a “THIS IS AWESOME” chant starts out in appreciation of what has been nothing more than a huge “spotfest” from these two teams. The commentators begin to put over that if these men would do this much just to win the EPW Tag Titles, then to imagine what the three men in the Main Event tonight will do in order to win the EPW World Title!

None of the three on the outside have as much as stirred for over 20 seconds, but Homicide however is up and setting up a ladder on the side of the ring, above where the other three competitors are laid out at ringside. Homicide ascends the ladder in preparation for presumably another high risk move as the commentators question his thinking? Hernandez is up first since he had a fairly easy landing on top of the WGTT following his Suicide Dive so he moves quickly out of the firing line and as soon as both his opponents are back on their feet, HOMICIDE LEAPS OFF THE TOP OF THE LADDER AND DELVERS A HUGE TOPE CON HILO FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER TO THE OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!! WHOLY FUCK! He crashes down on to only one half of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team after Shelton Benjamin managed to jump out of the way at the last moment, leaving Haas to feel the full force of the manoeuvre. Another “WHOLY SHIT” chant breaks out as Haas and Homicide stay down on the outside while Hernandez goes straight after Shelton Benjamin.

The two brawl on the outside exchanging hard blows when Shelton goes for a kick to the mid section but Hernandez catches his leg and throws it away but Shelton spins all the way around and connects with a DRAGON WHIP to the side of the head of Hernandez! Hernandez falls straight to the floor, as the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful let out a huge roar in appreciation for the popular move. Shelton rushes into the ring quickly, taking a ladder with him. He gets it set up under the Tag Titles quickly and makes his way up slowly…

Hernandez gets within range of Shelton and starts to unload with simultaneous lefts and rights, but Shelton manages to block a left and score with a hard right of his own, followed almost immediately by a left. With the two men at the top of the ladder although Hernandez is in a dazed state and despite the obvious size advantage that Hernandez has, Shelton Benjamin sets him up and scores with a HUGE T-BONE EXPLODER SUPLEX FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!!!! ANOTHER “WHOLY SHIT” chant starts out from the crowd as both men crash and burn down to the canvas.

The camera then pans to Homicide and Haas down on the outside who are now amazingly back on their feet and exchanging slow lefts and rights, with neither man getting any real advantage, when surprisingly out of no where, HOMICIDE DELIVERS A DEVESTATING ACE CRUSHER!!!! Haas is down and out on the outside again, as the Notorious One moves into the ring as quickly as possible and starts to climb up the ladder but before he can get even get two rungs up, Shelton Benjamin gets back on his feet and pulls him off the ladder and starts unloading with hard rights, he then Irish Whips Homicide hard into the closest corner, so hard that he stumbles out again after the collision with the turnbuckle only to be met by a massive SUPERKICK FROM SHELTON BENJAMIN! The kick jolts Homicide back and he is sat up against the turnbuckle. Benjamin takes a few steps backwards, before charging at Homicide and delivering the Stinger Splash to perfection as the momentum begins to swing in the Worlds Greatest Tag Team’s direction.

The commentators begin to put over that this match has reached the 20 minute mark and it has rarely looked like slowing down.

Intent on finishing off Homicide, like he seems to have done with Hernandez, Shelton brings him out of the corner and whips him into the ropes, as Homicide bounces back, Shelton quickly gets him up into position and delivers a SAMOAN DROP, LANDING HIM ON TOP OF A LADDER WHICH WAS STILL LAYING IN THE RING!!!

Hernandez starts to stir again, whilst Shelton sets up the ladder underneath the titles again, before the camera pans down on the lifeless Charlie Haas, who has undergone a hell of a beating in this match and seems to have nothing left. Benjamin is again thwarted in his attempt to retrieve the Tag Titles and become the inaugural Tag Team Champions in Evolution Pro Wrestling by Hernandez who used the ladder he had in his grasps to push over the ladder that was being climbed by Shelton Benjamain!

The camera then moves back to Charlie Haas who somehow is slowly making it back to his feet with the assistance of the apron. He is on his knees, with his head in the ring underneath the bottom ring, when suddenly Homicide raises and dashes over to him to deliver a Baseball Slide right to Charlie’s face - sending him back down to the floor once more, making sure that the LAX maintain their two on one advantage. Shelton is back on his feet quickly, but he is met by a charging Hernandez, who is still sporting the ladder but Benjamin miraculously ducks under the impending ladder shot and takes Hernandez down with a drop toe hold, causing his face to crash into the ladder. Hernandez rolls over with his face now a crimson mask as the crowd catch a glimpse of it and collectively let out an “OOOOOOOOO”. Homicide staggers over to Shelton Benjamin and after a brief stare down, the two start to trade blows, until Shelton manages to gain the upper hand. Benjamin puts his head under the arm of Homicide and looks to hit a Northern Lights Suplex, but HOMICIDE COUNTERS INTO A DDT!!! Homicide then locks in an STF on Shelton, much to the confusion of the crowd and the commentators question the logic behind it. Homicide keeps the hold locked in tightly, and Benjamin begins to tap out to no avail, when suddenly and phenomenally Charlie Haas re-enters the ring under the bottom rope, he charges at Homicide, who releases the STF quickly and stands up straight away. Haas and Homicide brawl briefly once more, before Haas ducks under an attempt at a right from the Notorious One and delivers an overhead Belly to Belly Suplex!! The crowd are stunned as they can’t believe that Haas has managed to muster up enough energy to make it back into the ring, let alone hit a Belly to Belly Suplex!

Charlie falls to the mat immediately after hitting the Belly to Belly and stays down momentarily, before he gets back to his feet slowly – signifying that he is still feeling the ill effects of such a physical match. Haas moves to the ladder shakily and sets it up underneath the Titles and begins the climb very slowly…

The momentum causes Hernandez to fall off the ladder too, as Haas in down and out once more.
Shelton Benjamin is now back on his feet in an awkward fashion, and as soon as Hernandez notices him, he charges across the ring towards him, but Shelton catches him off guard and sends him flying to the outside with a BIG BACK BODY DROP! Hernandez crashes down to the floor on the outside as the crowd pops loudly. Shelton takes a quick glance down at the giant on the outside but as soon as he turns around, he is met by Homicide who promptly sets him up and SCORES WITH THE GRINGO KILLA!!!! HOMICIDE REACHES UP AND UNHOOKS BOTH THE EPW WORLD TAG CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS!!!!! IT’S FINALLY OVER!!!

Winners and FIRST EVER EPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Homicide & Hernandez - THE LATIN AMERICAN EXCHANGE! @ 23:02

**Homicide falls off the ladder, hugging the newly won tag titles as DAWGZ hits, before Hernandez makes his way over to embrace Hernandez and take one of the championship belts. The men each climb opposite turnbuckles and despite their heel status, they receive a resounding ovation from the crowd, while Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin roll unnoticed out of the ring**

Artes: Here are your winners, and FIRST EVER, Evolution Pro Wrestling TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS…HOMICIDE AND HERNANDEZ…THE LATIN AMERICAN EXCHANGE!!!

Styles: They’ve done it!!! It’s finally over!! Homicide and Hernandez have won it!!

Nash: Wholy crap Styles, what a match! I think by the time we were half way through, the whole crowd forgot which team they wanted to win, and they just started collectively cheering this match on!! Even when Homicide unhooked those titles, the team that is meant to be hated, got a huge cheer from these fans for winning!

Styles: Hernandez and Homicide had to overcome big odds here, they got put into a match type that coming in they were definitely the underdogs in, they’re manager got beaten down before the match, and then they had to deal with the double cross from their so called “team mates” in Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera!

Nash: That was definitely a short lived tenure in LAX for those two, but they got what they deserved and I’m pretty sure they’re going to get a whole lot more in coming weeks!

Styles: You raise a good point, at first thought it seemed as if the Worlds Greatest Tag Team were the guilty culprits in the bashing of Konnan, but now it appears as if it occurred at the hands of Juventud and Psicosis!

Nash: And good luck to those two next time the LAX bump into them! It really was a dominant performance here, we talked about the Worlds Greatest Tag Team having the advantage, but the LAX really managed to swing the match in their favour with some really brutal power moves.

**We see a brief replay of some of the major spots of the match, including Hernandez’ Border Toss of Haas on to the sandwiched Benjamin, The T-Bone Suplex from Shelton to Hernandez off the Ladder, The Top Con Hilo from Homicide to the outside, The German Suplex from Haas and the resulted in Hernandez giving Shelton a Belly to Belly Suplex as well as Juventud and Psicosis trying to spoil the party before getting laid out by Hernandez and Homicide. The camera then pans backstage where we see Samoa Joe walking to the ring only to be met by Paul Heyman**

Heyman: Good luck tonight, Joe. I’d hate to see Jericho make a liar out of you.

- Heyman has a huge grin on his face -

Joe: I thought I told you already, I don’t need luck, get out of my way Heyman.

**Heyman still maintains his smile as the camera then moves elsewhere, where we see Christy Hemme standing by**

Christy: Introducing my guest at this time, the NEWEST member of the EPW roster…JAMIE NOBLE!

- Noble walks into camera to a fairly decent pop from the Hammerstein Ballroom -

Christy: Jamie, what made you decide to sign with EPW?

Noble: I was SICK and TIRED of being over looked in that other company!! I was sick and tired of being mistreated and misused! I was sick and tired, despite being the most talented professional wrestler in the world, of being used as merely a comedic talent!

- Noble pauses -

Noble: People were laughing at me, laughing at me (pointing to himself, getting incredibly intense), JAMIE NOBLE! Well I got news for you assholes that thought I was funny…JAMIE NOBLE IS NO FRIGGIN’ JOKE!

- He pauses again -

Noble: Forget everything you’ve ever known of Jamie Noble, this is a NEW me, I came to EPW for a chance, A NEW BEGINNING!

- Slight pop -

Noble: I will take no prisoners, spare no one, in an effort to prove that I AM the best Professional Wrestler in the World! And I don’t give a CRAP if I have to beat the HELL out of each and EVERY…LAST…ONE of you morons in the Hammerstein Ballroom to make people take notice.

- Major heat now -

Noble: Jamie Noble won’t be laughed at anymore! I will make it known that I am THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN EPW!

Christy:(Slightly hesitantly) Do you have any initial goals or aims now that you are part of EPW?

Noble: You better believe I do, but my goals are simple. I’m gonna prove to all you fools that I’m NO JOKE! I’m ALL BUSINESS! I don’t care if I have to make my opponents tap out, pass out, knock ‘em out or just pin ‘em 1…2…3! (counts with fingers) I’ll do whatever it takes to prove that I am the best professional wrestler not only in the world today, but of all time!

Christy: Anything else?

Noble: Yeah! Sit up! Take notice! JAMIE NOBLE IS HERE! The Redneck Messiah has arrived and I will be known as the MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN EPW!

- Noble stares down the camera breathing deeply for a moment -

Noble: Oh yeah, one more thing…I’m also DAMN unpredictable….

With that said Jamie Noble then pushes Christy Hemme to the floor and immediately locks in an STF!!! Hemme screams in pain but Noble refuses to relinquish the hold. After several more moments of Christy throwing her arms around madly and screaming in pain Noble releases the hold, amidst a shower of heat from the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Styles: What an asshole! Jamie Noble, EPW’s newest signing certainly hasn’t done himself any favours in winning over the fans, first insulting them and then locking the innocent Christy Hemme in an STF!

Nash: That was a real dog act man but if he wants to be taken seriously and prove that he is the most dangerous man in EPW, then these are the things he has to do.

Styles: So you’re condoning this kind of assault on a woman!?

Nash: A man’s gotta do, what a man’s gotta do to get over in this business, Styles. Maybe if it upsets you, we’ll send you backstage to conduct his next interview.

Styles: Well if it means saving another beat down of a woman, I’ll do it!

Nash: Oh you’re my hero, we should get you a blue suit, red cape and some theme music...SUPER STYLES TO THE RESCUE!

Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following is the LAST MAN STANDING MATCH!! Introducing first…

**BREAK THE WALLS DOWN hits to a huge albeit a slightly mixed reaction as Chris Jericho makes his way out to the ring, in true Jericho style with his arms spread out wide and pyro shooting off everywhere. Jericho stands at the top of the aisle and takes in the electric Hammerstein Ballroom crowd, and slowly makes his way down to the ring**

Artes: Now residing in Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 231 pounds…this, is CHRIS…JERICHOOOOOOOOO

**The cheers from the Hammerstein faithful continue for Y2J until CRUSH U UP hits and Samoa Joe makes his way out to a larger than normal amount of heat than he usually receives, he stands at the top of the ramp with his towel draped over his shoulders, taunting the crowd and his opponent, Chris Jericho, with his cut throat gesture**

Artes: And his opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 280 pounds…SAMOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA JOE!

Styles: Joe looks focused and intent on inflicting some pain on Jericho tonight, but whether he can back up his word and inflict an unbearable amount of pain and torture and really make his opponent suffer, is another thing.

Last Man Standing Match
Chris Jericho v Samoa Joe

Joe is still at the top of aisle staring at Jericho and panning the crowd. Suddenly he starts running down the aisle, slides into the ring and tackles Jericho straight to the floor, as the referee calls for the bell to signal the match to start! Joe jumps on top of Jericho and hits him with continuous lefts and rights to the head. The referee can only look on as Joe beats down Jericho without giving him a chance to defend himself, as there are no disqualifications in this one.

After around 15 seconds, Joe finally ceases the beat down on Jericho. He gets back to his feet quickly and then bounces off the ropes to hit a running senton backsplash on the downed Jericho. Y2J starts to slowly raise his head, but Joe shoots into the ropes again, bounces off and this time football kicks him right to the back of the head! Joe then holds off Jericho to see how far gone he is in the count…

Jericho is back on his feet!

Joe quickly moves over to Jericho, and the two lock up in the middle of the ring, Joe goes to whip Y2J into the ropes, but Jericho, who seemed to be playing possum, reverses the whip and sends Joe into the ropes instead, he bounces off and Jericho attempts a standing shoulder block but it has no even the slightest effect on Joe showing that he has a clear size and weight advantage in this match.

Joe and Jericho start trading knife edge chops in the centre of the ring as a chain of WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO’s sound out and round the Hammerstein Ballroom. With both men refusing to show an ounce of defeat, Jericho hits Joe hard with a chop, only for Joe to hit back harder, so much so that sweat sprays everywhere off Jericho, stunning Y2J in the process, Joe then grabs Jericho by the head and follows it up with two high knees to the scull which he immediately follows up with a stiff kick to the side of Jericho’s head!! Jericho has been planted face first on the canvas as Samoa Joe then shoots into the ropes again, bounces off and kicks Jericho stiff on the top of his shoulder this time. Joe rolls Jericho over now, sits him up, and goes for a shining wizard type kick but Jericho drops back to the mat, avoiding the kick completely. Joe assists his opponent back to his feet and whips him into the turnbuckle. Joe then charges at Jericho, but he manages to raise an elbow just at the last minute to fend him off. With Joe clutching at his face, Jericho makes the most of the situation and bounces off the ropes and hits a running bulldog, planting the Samoan Submission Machine face first on the mat, but it seems to have had more of an effect on Jericho, rather than Joe as he rises back to his feet the quicker of the two.

Joe and Jericho both make it back to their feet and stare down in the middle of the ring, with Joe looking the more confident of the two when suddenly Joe openly slaps Jericho, much to the surprise of Y2J and the crowd as the gasp in accordance with the slap! Jericho clutches at his face for moment before turning his attention back to Joe who then slaps him again, harder than the first time! This time he follows it up with a series of continuous knee lifts, striking Jericho in the head 8 times.

Jericho is clutching at his head, but still on his feet albeit shakily. Joe makes his way over and picks Jericho up and then hits him with a scoop powerslam, planting him face first. Realistic to the fact that this won’t be enough to keep Jericho down, Joe quickly swoops and locks in an STF. He keeps the hold locked in hard, with Jericho screaming in pain. Even though he knows that he can’t win by a submission, Joe keeps the hold locked in to make Jericho suffer some more. The hold continues to be kept locked in by Samoa Joe as he is visibly tightening it more and more as time grows on, intent on torturing Jericho. Suddenly Joe releases the hold after having it locked in on Y2J for more than a minute and then after seeing a look of relief on Jericho’s face, he pounces again and attempts to secure a crucifix arm bar, after a brief struggle, Joe gets it locked in. Jericho is showing great resilience and tries to fight out, even though he is face down on the mat. Joe then rolls over with his back on the mat now and Jericho still locked in the crucifix arm bar. Jericho is struggling more and more to try and get out of the hold, but eventually he starts to fade as Joe then rolls him over again, planting him face down on the mat again, and keeps the hold locked in. Jericho continues to battle as Joe has had him in the crucifix arm bar for over 2 minutes now and has been stretching the hell out of him the whole time. Jericho has seemingly passed out and is struggling for air when Joe releases his arm he had locked in with his legs, but continues to hold his other arm. Joe uses his legs to lock in a body scissors on Jericho now and then releases Jericho’s arm momentarily before applying a headlock, securing the REAR NAKED CHOKE! Joe is STILL intent making Jericho suffer! Joe has one of his dreaded submission holds locked in and is applying the hold as tight as he can to prevent any air getting into Jericho lungs.

Jericho looks to be almost completely drained and is even tapping out now, though not very quickly as he has very little energy left. Joe finally releases the Rear Naked Choke as Jericho is laying limp, totally sapped of energy, face down on the canvas.

Joe then decides to see if he can pick up the victory as he instructs the referee to make the count…

Jericho makes it back to one knee as the referee stops the count.

With Jericho up on one knee, Joe can’t believe what he’s seeing, he attempts a sidekick to the scull but Jericho sees it coming and drops off his knee and straight to the mat again avoiding the kick.

It now looks like Jericho may have been playing possum again during the referees count, as unbeknownst to his opponent he has a wry grin on his face whilst he is down on the mat after avoiding the kick from Joe. The Samoan Submission machine makes his way over to Jericho and picks him up by a clutch of the hair. Joe whips him into the ropes, but Jericho manages to grab the ropes and stop his momentum. He then drops to the mat, rolls out of the ring and drops immediately to the floor. Jericho makes his way back to his feet on the outside, as Joe shoots off the ropes in the ring and runs towards Jericho on the outside and attempts a suicide dive through the second rope, BUT JERICHO AVOIDS IT CAUSING JOE TO CRASH AND BURN ON THE OUTSIDE, OBVIOUSLY LANDING VERY AWKWARDLY ON HIS NECK!!

Jericho looks relieved at watching Samoa Joe land in such an awkward fashion on the hard floor and with that he immediately starts stomping slowly on the back of Joe’s neck but he suddenly stops to onslaught and walks towards the ring and slowly climbs up on the apron with Joe still down on the outside clutching at his neck. Jericho is standing on the apron and about to climb back through the ropes and into the ring, but he changed his mind at the last moment, stalling on the apron, looking down at the fallen Joe. Jericho now has another huge smile on his face before getting a strong grasp on the top rope, using it to keep his balance as he then bounces off the middle rope and hits a PERFECT LIONSAULT FROM THE APRON DOWN ON JOE ON THE OUTSIDE!!! The crowd goes nuts in appreciation for the move although they seem a little stunned by what they are seeing from Jericho, who moments earlier was laying battered in the middle of the ring. With both competitors down on the outside, the referee has no choice but to commence the count…

JOE IS BACK TO ONE KNEE NOW AS WELL!

EIG…

With it being obvious that Joe was on his way back to his feet, Jericho assists him right back to his feet before WHIPPING HIM INTO THE UNFORGIVING STEEL STEPS AT RINGSIDE!! Samoa Joe crashes into the steel and drops straight to the crowd again with his neck and shoulder taking most of the impact, as Jericho is starting to dominate the match now. With Joe seething in pain on the floor Jericho then runs awkwardly towards him and hits a BASEBALL SLIDE TO THE THROAT smashing him up against the steel steps once more, with it having an even worse effect on his neck this time.

Joe is still down against the steps, following the baseball slide, with all his weight centred towards the steel steps. Jericho, who still seems to be hurting to an extent, slowly makes it back to his feet once more and steadily walks over the timekeepers table, picks up a Steel chair and makes his way back over to Joe, chair in hand as the Hammerstein Faithful start to reiterate their support for Jericho. Y2J wastes little time as he swings the chair hard, cracking Joe on his head up against the steps, as a huge crack sounds throughout the Hammerstein Ballroom and a “WHOLY SHIT!” chant breaks out, as Jericho shows his unmerciful side. Blood slowly starts to stream slowly down the side of Samoa Joe’s head, as he looks to be unconscious on the ground. Jericho eventually picks him up, with his face a crimson mask. Y2J hits a hard right on Joe, followed by a left and an elbow, Joe staggers backward a little but still stays on his feet and somehow fights back with a soft right of his own, that has no effect on Jericho. Stunned by Joe’s resilience, Jericho throws him up against the commentary table and hits him again with some hard rights clearly draining the Samoan Submission Machine. Jericho then rolls Samoa Joe out on the table and hits him with 2 vicious for-arms across his chest to beat down his already bloody opponent some more.

Having seen how beaten down Joe is, with blood still flowing from the head of the Samoan Submission Machine, Jericho then takes his time in walking over to the ring, climbs up on to the apron and ascends the turnbuckle, he takes a deep breath and flies from the top rope, attempting to hit A LEG DROP FROM THE TOP ROPE THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!! (Similar to what he hit on Muhammad Hassan in the first match of the World Title tournament weeks ago.) Just when it all looks doomed for Joe, on pure instinct alone, he rolls out of the way and falls to the floor causing JERICHO TO CRASH AND BURN RIGHT THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE, TOTALLY DESTROYING IT IN THE PROCESS!

The crowd go totally mental, with more “WHOLY SHIT” chants while Joey Styles lets out a shrieking “OH MY GOD” whilst Kevin Nash is making his feelings known of how much of a fool Jericho is for attempting such a move! Both men remain down again, totally motionless on the outside. With Jericho laid out in the wreckage that was the Announcers table and Joe still down, in close proximity to Jericho and the remains of the table, covered in blood, the referee has no choice but to start the count!

EIGHT!

Joe has seemingly regained a sense of composure now as makes his way over to Jericho.

Joe gets a grasp of Jericho’s hair and reefs him back to his feet, breaking the referees count. Joe then throws Jericho into the residing steel steps himself this time! Jericho shrieks in pain clutching at his head as Joe still had the clutch of his hair whilst throwing him into the steps. Joe then picks up the same chair that Jericho cracked him open with earlier and gives Jericho the same treatment, CRUSHING HIS SCULL WITH THE CHAIR HARD AGAINST THE STEEL STEPS! Joe gives a sick smile and then hits Jericho for A SECOND TIME WITH THE CHAIR! He then yells in Jericho’s face “Revenge is a bitch!” as a chorus of boo’s and jeers sound out through the Hammerstein Ballrooom as Samoa Joe seemingly has reached certified heel status with the crowd.

Joe reefs Jericho by the hair again up to his feet as he lets out another huge shriek of pain, showing his face is now a crimson mask. Joe then rolls Y2J into the ring under the bottom rope before climbing up on to the apron and flying over the top rope and delivering a SUMMERSAULT SENTON TO THE GROUNDED JERICHO! Y2J grasps at his throat area as it seems that was where the full brunt of Joe’s weight landed as the referee start the count…

JERICHO HAS MADE IT BACK TO HIS FEET, BREAKING THE REFEREES COUNT!

Joe can’t believe it as Jericho is showing an unbelievable amount of resistance!

Samoa Joe who still has blood streaming down the side of his face, staggers over to Chris Jericho, who doesn’t have as much blood on his face as it has been sopped up by his hair which is now dyed a bloody red. The adversaries are none to nose now when a big “Lionheart” chant breaks out, as is sounds loudly through the Hammerstein Ballroom. Joe shakes his head menacingly before yelling “FIGHT ALL YOU WANT, I WILL STILL BE THE LAST MAN STANDING!!” Just as Jericho looks like he is going to reply SAMOA JOE PLANTS HIM WITH A C.C.S. ENZUIGIRI OUT OF NO WHERE AS JERICHO PLUMMETS STRAIGHT TO THE MAT!!! The crowd shits on Samoa Joe something huge, totally ripping into him following their chants for Jericho but the Samoan Submission Machine totally eats it up.

Joe knows that it won’t be enough to keep the resilient Jericho down, so he brings Y2J back to his feet before he attacks him with a hard right, sending Jericho down to one knee again, with Y2J halfway to the mat, he then hits some clubbing blows to the back of Jericho which sends him face first to the canvas once again. Joe rebounds slowly off the nearest rope to him, jumps in the air and attempts to drop a stiff knee into the neck of Jericho, but Y2J STILL SHOWS SIGNS OF RESILIANCE, ROLLING OUT OF THE WAY, AVOIDING THE IMPENDING KNEE OF SAMOA JOE!!!

With Joe down on the mat clutching at his knee, Jericho ceases the opportunity to make it back to his feet, although gradually and looks to gain control in the match again. He slowly gets back to his vertical base after he has been down for a few minutes now with the only real onslaught being a couple of hard clubs to the back.

Knowing that the damage that is currently inflicted on Joe would not be enough to get the 10 count, Jericho moves swiftly, or as swiftly as possible given his current state, and starts stomping away at the same knee of Samoa Joe that just crashed into the canvas. After stomping slowly, but consistently for about 15 seconds, Jericho seizes the legs of Joe, and after a little bit of resistance from the Samoan, JERICHO LOCKS IN THE WALLS OF JERICHO TO A HUGE OVATION FROM THE CROWD!!!

Jericho has the Walls locked in hard on Joe and he is stretching him as much as he can with Joe is screaming in pain, trying to inch towards the ropes, refusing to tap out, even though neither would mean anything during this match! Joe is starting to squirm and shake his body around while the hold is still locked in and is inching closer still to the ropes.

After well over 50 seconds of the hold being locked in and Joe refusing to show and signs of giving up, he finally makes it over to the ropes and grabs on to them hard, but Jericho refuses to release the hold, which has been locked in for well over a minute! Jericho can’t believe that Joe is still showing signs of life as he is still trying to shake him off, whilst still holding on to the ropes at arms length. As a last ditch effort, Joe tries to pull himself towards the ropes in an attempt to physically reef himself from the grip of Chris Jericho and is eventually successful, as SAMOA JOE MANAGES TO SQUIRM HIS WAY OUT OF CHRIS JERICHOS GRASPS!

Jericho can’t believe what he’s just seen from Joe, as he is now using the ropes to pull himself back to his feet once more, so the referee can’t even start the count.

With Joe almost back on his feet completely, Jericho runs at him, but Joe sees him approaching and ducks the attack, pulling down the top rope in the process – SENDING JERICHO PLUMMETING TO THE OUTSIDE ONCE MORE! He lands hard on the floor on the outside, but added to that he also landed on one of the steel chairs that was left on the outside after what happened earlier in the match and he is down, showing no signs of life once again. Joe is taking the opportunity to recuperate in the ring again, failing to attack Jericho again, as he is pacing the ring slowly, clearly favouring his injured knee and flexing it to see how much movement he can get from it. Joe walks over to the ropes and stares down at the injured Jericho on the outside and then looks in the ring at the opposite rope, like he’s about to shoot into the ropes and bounce back and dive on top of Jericho, which brings a mixed reaction from the crowd, but as soon as the crowd reaction Joe just shakes his head and climbs through the ropes and down to the outside to a fair amount of heat from the Hammerstein Ballroom faithful.

Joe is on the outside with Jericho now, who is showing no signs of life. Joe picks him up and rolls him back into the ring and summons the referee to make the count as the commentators are starting to put over how this match has been exactly what everyone said it would be, a fight and not a wrestling match!

Joe stops the count again, as he could see Jericho was about to stand up again anyway, as he delivers a VICIOUS FOOTBALL KICK TO THE SPINE OF Y2J which causes him to fall back-first to the mat again. Joe then arrogantly looks at the referee and points to Jericho on the mat again, as way to tell him to start counting once more…

Jericho is totally back on his vertical base ending the count!

With Jericho back on his feet, he looks a lot healthier than you would expect of someone that has just endured as count of 9 and a half, as it seems Jericho may have been utilising the count in its entirety once more in an attempt to regain more composure about himself and build up more energy although he is still walking very gingerly and favouring his back.

Joe moves quickly, as the two lock up in the middle of the ring with the 280 pounder overpowering Chris Jericho and whipping him into the ropes, but as he comes shooting back he hits Joe with a flying forearm, to a huge reaction from the crowd, who are stunned by the resilience from Jericho once more! Jericho’s performance is now at the stage where even Kevin Nash on commentary is commending it!

Both men are down on the mat again, once again showing just how drained Jericho is as the referee starts to count both of them!

FIVE

Joe starts to stir!

SIX!

Joe is back to his feet now to a mixed reaction from the crowd, who are upset to see that Jericho can’t pick up the win, but are happy that the match continues!

As Joe struggles to his feet groggily, Jericho runs behind his back, bounces off the ropeS and shoots back HITTING A RUNNING BULLDOG, PLANTING HIM FACE FIRST! Jericho is straight back up and goes to FOLLOW IT UP WITH THE LIONSAULT!!! BUT JOE ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY AS JERICHO CRASHES INTO THE CANVAS AGAIN! With Joe face down on the mat, Jericho ceases the opportunity and GOES FOR THE WALLS OF JERICHO AGAIN AS THE CROWD GO NUTS ONCE MORE! JERICHO HOOKS ONE LEG BUT HE JUST CAN’T SECURE THE SECOND AS JOE MANAGES TO WEASEL HIS WAY OUT!

Jericho pulls Joe back to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Joe comes shooting back and Jericho goes for a standing shoulder block but it fails to budge Joe! Jericho bounces off the ropes himself and goes for a running shoulder block this time, which has a little more effect, causing Joe to lose his balance. Jericho dashes into the ropes once more, and as he comes shooting back, Joe catches his opponent off guard AND SMOOTHLY DELIVERS AN OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX PROPELLING JERICHO OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CRASHING DOWN TO THE OUTSIDE AS HUGE “WHOLY SHIT AND THIS IS AWESOME” CHANTS START OUT!!

Joe looks at Jericho down on the outside, looks at the ropes on the far side of the ring, similar to earlier in the match, but this time he shoots into the ropes, bounces back AND LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CORKSCREW CANNONBALL DIVE LANDING ON TOP OF JERICHO ON THE OUTISDE JUST WHEN HE WAS ABOUT TO MAKE IT BACK TO HIS FEET!

Even more miraculously, JOE MANAGES TO LAND ON HIS FEET AT ON THE OUTSIDE as he picks Jericho up and rolls him back into the ring and then goes to pick up a steel chair before throwing the chair into the ring and rolling back in the ring, under the bottom rope himself. He picks up the grounded Jericho and then whips him into the ropes, as he comes bouncing back, Joe hoists Jericho up on his shoulders quickly and delivers a Samoan Drop on to the steel chair. Jericho clutches as his back in agony as Joe stands him up again, then picks the chair up and delivers a BRUTAL CHAIR SHOT TO THE BACK OF JERICHO but it he merely stumbles forward in obvious pain, without falling to the ground. Joe shoots into the ropes and bounces off again hitting THIS TIME HITTING A SINGLE LEG RUNNING DROP KICK TO THE BACK OF JERICHO’S HEAD! Joe picks him up again intent on totally destroying him; he Irish whips him hard into the turnbuckle, Joe makes his way over and hits a hard knife edge chop on Jericho now, followed up with a hard stiff kick to the chest!

Joe then struggles, but eventually sits Jericho up on the top rope, and after a couple of savage face chops, Joe BEGINS TO SET JERICHO UP FOR THE AVALANCHE MUSCLE BUSTER!! JOE HAS JERICHO UP BUT HE STILL REFUSES TO GIVE IN AS HE MANAGES TO SQUIRM HIS WAY OUT OF SAMOA JOE’S GRIP AND FALL TO THE FLOOR, AVOIDING THE MUSCLE BUSTER MOMENTARILY!

Y2J falls straight to the floor, still obviously drained but he gets straight up with his back to his opponent as Samoa Joe wastes little time in LOCKING IN THE COQUINA CLUTCH!!! THE REAR NAKED CHOKE IS LOCKED IN WHILST IN THE STANDING POSTION!! BUT IT DOESN’T LAST LONG AS JERICHO MANAGES TO SLIDE OUT OF THE GRASPS OF SAMOA JOE BEFORE QUICKLY TURNING TO FACE HIS OPPONENT AND BRINGING HIM DOWN WITH A DOUBLE LEG TAKE DOWN AS HE THEN IMMEDIATELY LOOKS TO APPLY THE WALLS OF JERICHO!!!

JERICHO HAS IT LOCKED IN BUT JOE IS PUTTING UP TO MUCH OF A FIGHT FOR IT TO BE SECURED TIGHTLY! ONCE AGAIN SAMOA JOE KICKS HIMSELF OUT OF THE WALLS! The Samoan Submission Machine kicks Jericho hard and stiff right in the spine causing Y2J to stagger forward, clutching at his back in pain! Joe acts quickly LOCKING IN THE COQUINA CLUTCH ONCE MORE!! JERICHO FIGHTS AND FIGHTS BUT EVEN AMIDST THE CHANTS OF “Y2J” FROM THE CROWD, HE EVENTUALLY PASSES OUT! JERICHO IS TOTALLY OUT OF IT! BUT JOE’S NOT DONE! HE USES HIS FREE ARM TO HOOK ONE OF JERICHO’S ARMS AS HE THEN DELIVERS A DEVESTATING COQUINA-PLEX!!! Jericho crashes head first into the mat, immediately grabbing at his neck but Samoa Joe refuses to let the referee make the count as he quickly brings Jericho back to his feet and moves him over to the corner again. The Samoan Submission Machine lifts Jericho to the top rope again before cracking him with 3 hard rights followed by a devastating elbow, with Jericho totally dazed and out of it Samoa Joe sets up Jericho for the AVALANCHE MUSCLE BUSTER ONCE AGAIN! Joe walks halfway across the ring before NAILING THE MUSCLE BUSTER TO CHRIS JERICHO! LANDING HIM ON TOP OF THE STEEL CHAIR THAT WAS STILL IN THE RING TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE FOR Y2J! Joe doesn’t come out of the move all to healthy either because his head also crashed into the chair, as the referee starts the count on both men…

JERICHO GETS IT LOCKED IN PERFECTLY AS HE IS SHOWING A TRULY BRUTAL SIDE OF HIM, NOT OFTEN SEEN! Jericho continues with the hold locked in before screaming “YOU MIGHT HAVE WON THE MATCH JOE! BUT I’M NOT SUFFERING! YOU DIDN’T MAKE ME SUFFER! I AM STILL STANDING!” Jericho continues to tighten the hold as Joe shrieks in pain causing him to tap out to no avail before Jericho eventually releases the hold! Jericho then stands over the body of Joe and proclaims loudly “I AM THE LAST MAN STANDING!”

**BREAK THE WALLS DOWN then hits to an overwhelming, though slightly mixed ovation as Chris Jericho climbs the nearest turnbuckle, saluting the crowd and yelling “I AM THE KING OF THE WORLD”**

Nash: What a dog act! I told ya it was a con job! That is not cool! Jericho just couldn’t handle the fact he got his ass kicked by Samoa Joe!

We see highlights of the Rhino v Hassan Semi-Final match up, in which Rhino goes over cleanly after a Gore.

Highlights of the Christian & Benoit v Edge & Lesnar Tag Match are shown where Christian pins Lesnar after Edge was stuck in the Crippler Crossface before we see Lesnar come out and decimate both Edge and Benoit in the 2nd Semi Final of the World Title Tournament.

We then see the announcement of an Elimination Triple Threat Match from Heyman.

We see a shot of Edge spearing Psicosis, costing Rhino the match altogether followed up by Edge spearing the War Machine as well before standing over him.

We see the end of the re-match between Edge and Benoit in which Rhino was the Special Referee that Benoit won after he put his feet on the ropes. Edge goes spastic after the match and Rhino goes to Gore him, but the Rated R Superstar moves out of the way and Benoit takes the Gore instead. Edge then charges across the ring looking for a Spear but Rhino brings him down with a drop toe-hold before hitting a SECOND Gore to the Rated R Superstar this time.

We see highlights of the promo between the three men on the final Enslaved before the PPV, ending with Edge spearing Rhino before Benoit tries to lock in the Crossface but Edge avoids it, rolling out of the ring and retreating up the aisle.
Artes: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Main Event for the evening, it is an elimination Triple Threat match for the Evolution Pro Wrestling World Championship, Introducing first…

**The crowd waits in anticipation until STAMPEDE hits to a huge roar from the Ballroom faithful and the War Machine, Rhino makes his way out to the top of the ramp as the crowd start a “RHINO” chant. Rhino gestures that the belt will be around his waist, punches his chest and raises his arms to the crowd before making his way down to the ring looking extremely focused and intent on victory**

Artes: From Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 275 pounds, he is the War Machine, this is RHIIIIIIIIINO!

Styles: This is a career match for Rhino. Ever since the first episode of Enslaved, Rhino has been intent on being the first EPW Champion.

**Rhino slides under the bottom rope, before taunting the crowd again. He then begins to slowly pace the ring in preparation for the arrival of his opponents, as METALINGUS hits to massive heat from the crowd before the Rated R Superstar, Edge makes his way out to the ring, with his trademark trench coat on. Edge stands at the top of the ramp soaking up the insults from the crowd, before just giving them an arrogant grin and making his way down to the ring quickly and confidently**

Artes: And the opponents, first, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 241 pounds, this is EDGE!

Nash: Edge. The clear cut favourite for this one in my expert opinion, Styles. A result other than an Edge victory this evening, would be an upset and a major shock, because as far as I’m concerned, the other two competitors in this match just aren’t on Edge’s level.

**Edge stops at the bottom of the aisle, before looking up at Rhino in the ring, and then running and sliding under the bottom rope. Once in the ring, he immediately raises to his feet and gets face to face with Rhino, as the fans still jeer the hell out of him until WHATEVER hits to a massive ovation and a chorus of cheers, as the Rabid Wolverine, Chris Benoit makes his way out to the ring for the Final of the World Title Tournament with the support of the crowd right behind him. Benoit does his usual taunt at the top of the aisle, raising him arms to the fans, before he makes his way modestly and intensely down to the ring**

Artes: Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, weighing 234 pounds, the Rabid Wolverine, CHRIS BENOIIIIIIIIIT!

Styles: You might think Edge is the favourite Nash, but if you ask any of these fans, they’ll all tell you that Benoit is the man for this one.

Match 6
Main Event
Final of the World Title Tournament
EPW World Championship Match
Rhino v Edge v Chris Benoit

The match begins with the crowd going wild and all 3 men in the expected face off, with Edge centring his attention on Rhino, and Rhino likewise on Edge with Chris Benoit seemingly out in the cold, when suddenly Benoit gets attention of the War Machine and surprisingly, following his attitude on the most recent Enslaved, extends in his hand in a gesture of sportsmanship, which the Rhino gleefully accepts until the Crippler unexpectedly pulls him in and delivers a Belly to Belly Suplex much to the surprise of Edge and the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd who react indifferently towards Benoit following the manoeuvre. Benoit mouths that it’s every man for himself in this one and goes straight after Edge with some hard rights, as the crowd get right back behind Benoit straight away. After 4 continuous shots from Benoit, Edge remains on his feet, so Benoit then delivers a hard Backhand Chop, which drops Edge to the canvas. Rhino is now back on his feet and he goes straight after Benoit, the two lock up, but Rhino manages to shift his weight quickly and whip Benoit into the ropes, who bounces back only to be floored by a standing shoulder block by the War Machine, who goes for a very optimistic, and early cover…

No way! Benoit kicks out easily.

The two men rise back to their feet, before locking up again, Rhino shows his strength advantage over Benoit as he forces him into the corner with very little resistance from the Rabid Wolverine. Rhino then starts to hammer away at Benoit with some hard, continuous rights, which are quickly bought to a halt by Edge, when he catches Rhino off-guard, grabs his hair and delivers the Edge-O-Matic. Edge takes a quick glance down at the fallen Rhino, as Benoit delivers a backhand chop that stuns Edge before he is whipped into the ropes, as he shoots back Benoit takes him down with a Lariat, only to rise back to his feet straight away and charge at the Rabid Wolverine, who counters into an arm drag taking Edge down once more. Rhino is now back on his feet and he charges at Benoit as well, but the Man Beast cops the same treatment that Edge did, with Benoit taking him down to the mat with another arm drag. Edge is first back to his feet and immediately looks to lock up with Benoit, and after a brief struggle, Edge manages to shift his weight, and kick Benoit hard in the mid section before planting him with a spike DDT. The Rated R Superstar drops to the mat and locks in a Sleeper hold on Chris Benoit momentarily before Rhino breaks up the hold, stomping the arm of Edge. Rhino brings Edge back to his Vertical Base using his hair before whipping him hard into the ropes, Edge shoots back and Rhino scores with a savage Spinebuster, which he follows with a cover…

NO! Benoit breaks the cover!

Benoit then assists Edge back to his feet, and whips him into the ropes himself now, Rhino gets back on his feet as well and both he and Benoit look to double team Edge, but he is one step ahead of them and comes back with a flying double clothesline, which drops them both to the canvas. Edge picks up Rhino and then stuns him with a hard right and an elbow, before taking a taking a few steps back from Rhino and then going for a running Big boot, which the Man Beast ducks and goes straight after Edge again.

Rhino forces the Rated R Superstar into the corner with some brutal punches, he tries to get Edge up on the top turnbuckle but suddenly Benoit runs up behind him and delivers a German Suplex out of no where, taking Rhino down again. Benoit then gets straight back on his feet and charges at Edge in the corner, but he catches him off guard with a flapjack, as Benoit’s neck snaps over the top of the ring post, and his head crashes into the top of the turnbuckle. With Benoit staggering backwards out of the corner, Edge seizes the opportunity and hits a German Suplex of his own, the Rabid Wolverine crashes hard into the mat after the Suplex, but as Edge turns around he walks into a massive GORE from Rhino showing that he can hit the move out of no where as the crowd go absolutely wild in celebration thinking that Edge is going to be out of the match early and with Benoit still down, Rhino makes the cover…

NO! EDGE’S GETS HIS FOOT UNDER THE ROPES!

Edge shows excellent ring awareness in getting his foot under the rope, preventing the referee from making the three count and keeping his chance at winning the EPW World Title alive causing the Hammerstein Ballroom crowd to voice their extreme displeasure. Benoit climbs slowly back to his feet and makes his way over to Rhino, and after a hard backhand chop from the Crippler, the two lock up in the middle of the ring, fighting for position, fighting to gain the upper hand, they simultaneously break the hold, stare into each others eyes, before locking it up again, this time Benoit out quicks Rhino and quickly turns the collar and elbow tie up into an arm bar, before delivering 3 hard elbows to the forearm of the War Machine and releasing the Arm Bar only to apply a side headlock instead, before bringing Rhino down to the mat with a side rollover take down, he then looks in a body scissors around the waist of the War Machine, and applies another arm bar to the same arm of Rhino, the crowds support is divided as Benoit tightens the hold, in an attempt to completely drain the Man Beast, as Edge is still down, clutching at his midsection, selling the ferocity of the Gore.

Benoit releases the hold, and jumps straight back to his feet to start stomping away at the same arm of Rhino, which is now an obvious target of the Wolverine. Benoit stands on the hand of Rhino, preventing him from moving his arm, and then drops his knee into his bicep, further softening him up for the Crippler Crossface. After dropping his knee into Rhino’s bicep three times, Benoit brings Rhino back to his feet, whilst Edge has also made it back to his Vertical Base, unbeknownst to both Benoit and Rhino. Benoit applies a front facelock to the War Machine and looks to be setting him for some sort of Suplex, when Edge rushes up behind Benoit, ducks his head and puts him up in the electric chair position, presumably looking for an Electric Chair Bomb. Edge fights hard to gain his balance with Benoit on his shoulders putting up a struggle, as Rhino shoots into the ropes and cannons back landing another Gore to the Rated R Superstar, dropping him to the mat once more, whilst Benoit falls hard off Edge’s shoulders and straight to the canvas too, as a massive “Wholy shit” chant breaks out. Rhino makes the cover, with the crowd completely behind him, seemingly certain that Edge will be eliminated this time…

NO! Rhino kicks out comfortably!

Edge is still down after taking his second Gore from Rhino, as the War Machine and Chris Benoit both make it back to their feet again. The two lock up again, but Benoit manages to shift his weight and lock in a side headlock, to deliver a Snap Suplex to the Man Beast. Suddenly Benoit rolls Rhino over and attempts to lock in the SHARPSHOOTER as the crowd go wild in anticipation, but he manages to fight his way out of it before it can be correctly locked in. Edge slowly rises back to his feet, while Benoit and Rhino lock up yet again, but this time Rhino’s strength is too overpowering for Benoit, as the War Machine delivers a dominant Belly to Belly Suplex. He picks him straight up, plants him again just as quickly with a Scoop Powerslam, but Edge is back in the equation now and he goes straight after Rhino. Edge delivers a hard right as Rhino responds in kind with a right of his own, who then rushes Edge with second then a third strike, but Edge ducks under the attempt at a third and runs at the adjacent ropes, and comes back to hit a flying forearm, which takes Rhino down to the mat. Edge picks him up and Irish whips him hard into the corner, before spearing him up against the ring post, as Rhino stumbles forward out of the corner, Edge plants him face first with a half-nelson Bulldog, and then follows up with a cover…

The crowd pops massively to see Rhino break the pinning predicament as Edge sits up following the kick out, but then Benoit suddenly hits a low missile dropkick to the side of his head, as a massive crack sounds out around the Ballroom! Benoit then tries his luck in pinning Rhino…

Rhino makes it back to his feet, before throwing Benoit into the corner, showing sheer power, he goes for a high elbow, but Benoit ducks under it and forces Rhino himself into the corner, before connecting with 3 hard, fast, continuous backhand chops as a simultaneous “WOOOOOOOOO” is heard throughout the Ballroom! Benoit then sends Rhino hard into the opposite corner, as Benoit charges at the War Machine, connecting with a running knee in the corner. Rhino clutches at his ribs, when suddenly Edge comes charging in at the corner too, Benoit manages to jump out of his way, but Rhino isn’t so lucky and he feels the full force of a Spear from Edge, who then immediately goes for the cover on Rhino in the corner…

Edge is furious now, but he then turns his attention to Chris Benoit, he charges at Benoit, who seems to have picked up some sort of injury along the way, looking for a Spear only for Benoit to counter into a drop toe hold, bring Edge face first down to the canvas, as Benoit bounces quickly and attempts to lock in the CRIPPLER CROSSFACE to a massive pop from the crowd

Edge fights and fights, struggles and struggles but Benoit gets the hold locked in!!! The Crippler tightens it as much as he physically can, pulling back wildly on Edges jaw causing him to shriek in pain but the Rated R Superstar refuses to give in, managing to stretch his arm out and grab the rope, forcing Benoit to break the hold!!!!! Unbeknownst to Benoit, Rhino has risen and is in the corner behind him measuring him up for a Gore of his own, Benoit turns and sees the War Machine charging at him and once again moves out of the way, as Rhino crashes shoulder first into the steel turnbuckle. Benoit then reacts hastily, locking his arms around Rhino’s waist before hitting a German Suplex, but he’s not done, because his arms are still locked together! Benoit stands Rhino up again, before straining himself and delivering a second consecutive German Suplex, however he’s still not done, and he struggles to bring the Man Beast back to his feet, only to deliver a third German Suplex, to complete his patented Rolling German Suplexes.

Completing the Triple Germans obviously drained Benoit almost as much as it did Rhino, as he is still down on the canvas too, regaining his composure. Edge is in the corner again, looking for another Spear, and as soon as Rhino rises again, Edge charges at him, before the War Machine turns into another massive SPEAR! Edge goes to make the cover, until Benoit who was seemingly playing possum, pulls him away before he can even get a one count! Benoit then pounces over the back of Edge, and locks in the CRIPPLER CROSSFACE AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THE MATCH!!!!!

RHINO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED FOLLOWING 2 SPEARS FROM EDGE AND THE ROLLING GERMANS FROM BENOIT!

RHINO IS ELIMINATED @ 13:01

Artes: Rhino is the first competitor eliminated, the match continues.

With Rhino eliminated, Benoit keeps the Crossface locked in on Edge, who is still trying to get to the ropes but to no avail. After the hold has been locked in for over 45 seconds, and Edge has shown refused to give up his opportunity at the World Title by tapping out. Benoit releases the hold much to the relief of Edge, but the relief doesn’t last long, as Benoit quickly locks in the SHARPSHOOTER! The crowd are going wild in support for Benoit, as they think this one may be over very soon, but much to their displeasure, Edge manages to pull himself forward and reach out now and get a grip on the bottom rope, as the referee forces Benoit to break the hold. Edge keeps his grip on the rope, despite Benoit releasing the hold, and he then pulls himself to the outside before dropping straight down to the floor to try and buy some time to regather himself.

Edge gradually makes his way to his feet, still wincing in pain after with standing both of Benoit’s most brutal submission holds, just when it looks like Edge is back on a Vertical Base, Chris Benoit runs at the ropes adjacent to Edge’s position on the outside, he shoots off, charging across the ring, before diving through the ropes, in an attempt to hit a SUICIDE DIVE, but Edge manages to dive out of the way at the last second, causing Benoit to CRASH HEAD FIRST INTO THE GUARD RAIL AT RINGSIDE!!!!! The ballroom fans let out a massive gasp before a “HOLY SHIT” chant to break out.

With the two remaining competitors down on the outside, the crowd starts to build its support behind Chris Benoit, but Edge is the first man to rise, using the apron to get back to his vertical base. The referee looks on from the ring, but is unable to make a 10 count under the rules of the match, Edge who is favouring his injured arm after the Crossface, slowly makes his way over to Benoit who is still down clutching at his neck following his high impact collision with the ring barrier.

Edge brings the crowd favourite back to his feet slowly, locks in a front facelock awkwardly, and then strains himself to deliver a SNAP SUPLEX TO BENOIT PLANTING HIM HARD ON THE FLOOR AT RINGSIDE!!!! The Crippler clutches at his neck once more, as it is still in obvious pain following the failed dive on to Edge, who stands over his fallen opponent before centring his attention on the injured neck of Benoit, knowing full well that he has had issues with his neck before.

Edge begins to stomp away at the neck of Benoit now before he sits his opponent up, pulling back his arms and driving his knee right into the spine of the Rabid Wolverine. Benoit screams in immense pain as Edge doesn’t even look like relinquishing the hold. Benoit continues to struggle as Edge finally releases the hold, but he doesn’t stop the assault on Benoit, as he picks him up, walks him over to the steel stairs and then CRASHES HIS HEAD HARD INTO THE UNFORGIVING STEEL!!! He goes to do it a second time, but Benoit somehow manages to block it, seemingly out of pure instinct, which he follows up with a hard Headbutt right to the scull of Edge, he then delivers a second devastating Headbutt which rocks Edge, who staggers away from Benoit now with his back turned to him but it is unapparent as to whom the Headbutt’s have had a worse effect on Benoit grasps for air before clutching at his neck, still in obvious pain.

Benoit manages to make his way over to Edge who is still holding his head in his hands. Benoit puts his head under Edge’s right arm from behind, wraps his arms around the waist of his opponent and then delivers a devastating BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX! Which results in Edge’s head, in particular, crashing into the unforgiving floor as the Rabid Wolverine collects some vengeance for the Snap Suplex he received earlier while the Ballroom faithful start up a “LETS GO BENOIT” chant.

Benoit, still obviously favouring his injured neck, makes it back to his feet slowly, whilst getting a clutch of Edge’s hair to bring him back to his feet also before rolling him under the bottom rope slowly and back into the ring. With Edge still down, although back in the ring, Benoit moves as quickly as he can and begins to start stomping away slowly at his right arm again, in an attempt to target a particular body part to further soften him up for the Crippler Crossface to be locked in once more. Benoit then picks Edge up again quickly and delivers a hard Gutwrench Suplex, planting Edge on the canvas once more. Benoit then goes for the pinfall…

NO! EDGE MANAGES TO GET HIS SHOULDER UP!

Boos and jeers run out around the Hammerstein Ballroom as the crowd voice their displeasure at the fact that Edge has kicked out once more but Benoit doesn’t let it worry him too much, as he still remains as focused as ever on the situation, he stands Edge again and applies a front facelock and then delivers a Snap Suplex to the Rated R Superstar, but Benoit maintains the hold, rolls over his hips, stands both himself and Edge back up and then delivers a second Snap Suplex, but he refuses to relinquish the hold, as he completes the same routine, and delivers a THIRD Snap Suplex, as Benoit has successfully delivered the famous THREE AMIGOS SUPLEXES, as a tribute to his best friend, Eddie Guerrero. An “EDDIE” chant sounds out around the Ballroom, as Chris Benoit does his famous throat slitting taunt and begins to ascend the closest Turnbuckle to Edge, when at the top he stands up tall, taking a look at Edge before throwing his arms out wide and flying off the top rope to a huge pop from the crowd, looking for a Diving Headbutt but Edge on pure instinct rolls out of the way, causing Benoit to crash head first into the mat. The Wolverine rolls around in tremendous pain clutching at his head and already injured neck.

Edge slowly builds back up to his Vertical Base, and he runs at half pace into the ropes, whilst Benoit has made it back to his feet too, and when Edge rebounds back off the ropes, he has enough time to see Benoit back on his feet and he hits a running Crossbody, which takes Benoit down to the mat again. Edge is also down and after a few moments, is the first to make it back to his feet, albeit slowly. Edge stalks the grounded Benoit, making the most of his chance to further recuperate and recover from the recent onslaught from his one remaining opponent.

Once the Crippler makes back to his feet, Edge puts his head under the left arm of Benoit and delivers a Back Suplex of his own, as Benoit lands awkwardly on his neck again. Edge follows up with the cover, could this be it for Benoit?!

Edge can’t believe that Benoit has kicked out again, and clutches at his hair with a frustrated look on his face. The commentators at ringside begin to put over how much winning this match means to both these competitors given the effort they are putting in, whilst the Rated R Superstar starts complaining to the Referee that he his counts are to slow before directing his attention back to Benoit, assisting him back to his feet again before Irish Whipping him hard into the corner, so hard in fact it causes Benoit to stumble out of the corner, with Benoit dazed, Edge makes his way over to him and looks to deliver a Standing Dropkick, but Benoit manages to avoid it, thus meaning Edge crashes face first into the canvas again. Edge’s refusal to give in is showing just how much winning the EPW World Title means to him. With the hold still locked in tightly, Edge manages to push himself up slightly, before rolling over causing Benoit to break the hold!!! EDGE HAS DONE IT! HE’S SUCCESSFULLY BROKEN THE SHARPSHOOTER! However, this time is it only short lived as Edge pulls one of his legs out of Benoit’s grasp and uses his free leg to kick Benoit in the back and release his other leg! Edge quickly gets back to his feet, although favouring his right leg, Benoit has his back to him and Edge makes the most of it, grabbing the top of his opponents head and delivering the EDGE-O-MATIC for the second time in the match, after hitting it on Rhino earlier on! With the Crippler out on his feet, Edge lifts him up to the top Turnbuckle and then climbs to the middle rope himself. Edge is beside himself now as he backs into the opposite corner in preparation to hit the Spear on Benoit. Edge gets back up reasonably quickly, seemingly unaffected by the move and charges at Benoit again, who this time hits an arm drag on Edge, taking him down once more. He makes it back to his feet slowly, only to be met by a Knife Edge chop from Chris Benoit, he grimaces in pain only for Benoit to deliver another chop, this time right to the face of Edge! Edge clutches at his face immediately and self consciously turns his back to Benoit, who quickly locks his arms around the waist of his foe and looks to hit a German Suplex, but Edge grabs on to the top rope to counter the move. Benoit struggles and tries to dislodge Edge’s grip, but he won’t budge! Eventually Benoit releases his arms, but Edge maintains his grip on the ropes, as he cautiously lets them go and turns around to face Benoit who kicks him in the midsection immediately, before whipping him into the adjacent ropes and bringing him down to the mat with a running high knee upon his return, which he follows with a cover…

Heyman climbs into the ring, before pulling the brand new EPW World Title out of the bag and presenting it to Edge, who proudly holds it aloft**

Artes: What a match! After almost half an hour, Edge has finally done it and pulled off the victory!

Nash: I told you he’d do it Styles, I knew that man would be walking out tonight with the EPW Title in his hands!

Heyman exits the ring, with Edge on top of the turnbuckle celebrating with his new belt, when suddenly Chris Benoit makes it back to his feet, and as Edge turns around to face Benoit, he visibly applauds Edge, before sliding out under the bottom rope to leave Edge alone in the ring to celebrate his victory.

Styles: That’s a great way to end the show with some good sportsmanship from Chris Benoit, proving that there was nothing personal in this encounter between Edge, Benoit and even Rhino, it was just all about the EPW World Title! Thank you for joining us on our first ever Pay Per View, what a night it’s been, for Kevin Nash, I’m Joey Styles, GOOD NIGHT!

***The show fades out with Edge standing at the top of the aisle, lifting the EPW World Title high in the air amidst a showering of heat from the fans!***
