It's great that you are getting caught up.
I still need to check out Elfen Lied, but Death Note still has my occupied.
WARNING, Potential Spoilers
Episode 17 of Death Note was absolutely fucking terrific. It was so suspenseful, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time.
This anime continuously surprises. Plot twists and 360 degree turns come out of no where, and guess what? They are always great. In a lot of animes the plot twists and turns end up ruining the story. In Death Note? It just adds to it's greatness.
I had a feeling after Misa discarded her Death Note that Light would do the same, but with some kind of twist. I really thought Light would find a way around relinquishing his knowledge and memories involving the Death Note.
Also, I really thought that Chief Yagami was going to make a serious attempt on Light's life. I was thinking the gun would jam or something else would indeed occur.
I really can't get a grip or predict any of this plot, and I really can't understand why. Usually I am the first person that knows what is going to happen. This could be attributed to many things. Mostly the great skill and the pure unpredictability of the writers.
I am glad I only have a bit of a leftover lab to do tonight, because I am definitely going to fill the night with Death Note.
Episode 140 of Bleach, Review
Great fights, but little explanation, at all.
Fights were amazing, but I felt the animation was lacking a bit of quality this episode. I am not sure why all of a sudden.
Some of my favourite moments
*Seeing more of Grimmjaw's reaction to Ichigo's Vizard form.
*Seeing Grimmjaw's reaction to Hirako's Vizard form.
*Urahara in combat.
*Kuchiki's return to the real world.
*Kuchiki's amazing increase in ability. Especially the way her Shikai looked.
I really wish they would have explained a little more about Orihime. Last episode Ulquiorra invaded the Senkai Gate while Orihime was travelling through it, but at the end of this episode they showed a cut scene of Orihime healing the two fallen Shinigami. I really don't see Ulquiorra leaving her, unless he destroyed her Hell Butterfly.
Who knows though, all in all, Death Note-Episode 17 9.5/10. Bleach-Episode 140, 6.5/10.
