DUDE!!!!!!! I started Naruto a couple weeks ago, and already slammed through Season 1. I just saw your sig, and was like hella COOL!!! I just watched the episodes with the fight between Orochimaru vs the 3rd Hokage, one my top 5 favorite battles all time. I normally use Laughing Man as my pic from SAC. And 1 of my top favorite battles in anime, is Major Kusanagi vs Saito aka Sniper Scene.

Any idea if my segment idea for the show got approved? Sent it to Jens on Facebook like the day after the thread for the show went up.

Forgot to ask you this before, but have you seen the trailer for season 3 of The 100 yet? Looks like it'll be an intense season :mark:

Based on what you just told me, I may have the perfect recommendation. I just finished the Chaos Trilogy by John C. Wright. Perhaps you read the short write ups I did in the Book Thread? I have never read Zelazny myself, but Wright is compared favorably to him in the reviews of these books. It really is an almost perfect union of hard sci-fi and fantasy. I have only talked to a couple of others that have read it, but they were almost as equally blown away as I was. I am curious to hear what anyone else thinks of it.

Do you ever read Hard Sci-fi? Or do you prefer more of a fantasy element?

I don't pick out a lot of Cyberpunk books in particular, I just go for whatever seems different enough to catch my interest based on what I read from the inner flap or recommendations from other readers/authors.

I would have to say it was the sexual exploits of the characters. The main character of the book is gay, and it seemed to me that Mr. Morgan was trying too hard to make everyone else appear like more of a deviant. He described in detail how a priest was affected by his lust for young boys. There was another character who was a slaver and appreciated every smell associated with his charges. And again there were unnecessary details.

TMI in a lot of places. :jay

If I think of anything similar I will let you know, but any other other book by Richard Morgan to that point is excellent. :draper2

I saw in The Book Thread that you are reading Richard Morgan. His books are amazing and inspired. The Takeshi Kovacs novels are incredible, and just wait until you get deeper into his series. That said, beware of the novel "The Steel Remains". I made it not even halfway through it before putting it down and never picking up a book written by him again.

Just telling you this to forewarn you a little. His early books are fantastic. One day maybe I will have become numb enough to read what he is putting out right now.
He is pushing the envelope far beyond what anyone ought to contemplate, IMO. Not sure I want to go back and try again yet.

But up until that book, he is phenomenal. One of the best new authors out there. If you keep going, you will see what I mean.
