Tough series loss against the Blue Jays, AB...

However the wildcard slot is still looking good for the Yankees! :mark: :cheer

    AB!!! :mark: :woo

Yes, huge series between the Jays and Yankees. Game 1 of this series didn't go your way, but it's very possible to still take the series. I like the Bronx Bombers' chances to at least make it to one of the wildcard slots, probably even stay at #1, in order to host it, but of course you're much better off taking the division if it's possible and it most certainly is! :mark:

Giants... :cry Too close to home with the name and all for me. :mj2 :lol But, yeah, they don't look good. The coaching kind of stinks, doesn't it? Bad clock and game management as you were saying.

Dat Knicks optimism! :mark: :lol :woo :woo

    DUBS! :mark: :cheer

Great hearing from you, AB! Best of luck with the Yankees as we near October! :woo :wo

This AL East race with the Blue Jays is what it's all about!!! :mark: Watched almost the entirety of the Labor Day Yankees game while working out, good game for the Bronx Bombers. A-Rod's legs seem to be coming back strong after a weak August. Beltran's raking. Good stuff. I'm also enjoying how Gregorious is owning the SS position for your team.

Take care, AB! :mark: :cheer :woo :dance

Yeah, I hear ya on the consistency point regarding the Yankees. I'm kind of shocked that they have continued to keep such pressure on what would appear to be an overwhelming Toronto Blue Jays squad, powered as it is with its remarkable offense. The offense is definitely coming together. What a potent win over the Red Sox yesterday.

Yeah, Odd Year Blues (literally, vis-à-vis the Dodgers) kind of sank the GIANTS. Just too many injuries, and far too weak of a rotation outside of :bum. Alas...

We'll be back next year. :posey2 :mark: :cheer

Severino pitched quite well. A hard luck loss for the Bronx Bombers, is all it was. I think Severino's going to be a fine mid-rotation SP for you. We'll see what happens when the league adjusts to him but that usually takes several months so he may remain an elusive lineup-destroyer between now and... October...? :curry2

GIANTS/YANKEES would be the ultimate! :mark: It's happened several times before, and it's about time it happened again, I say! :D: :mark: :woo

Just think. MVPOSEY vs. A-ROD. MVPENCE vs. BELTRAN (with the backstory of how the Giants kept trying to fill their right field hole in 2011 with the latter and finally settled on the former in 2012 and beyond?). BELT vs. TEX. MVPANIK, who grew up a Yankees fan in New York City. :mark: The NL Rookie of the Year Matt MVDUFFY vs. the AL Comeback Player of the Year A-ROD at the hot corner! :mark: :woo :cheer (Of course the voters won't give that to A-Rod even though they should, heh.)

San Francisco, New York City. :mark:

And yeah, the Knicks probably did well for themselves considering. I think it's more of the "optics" about that pick than anything else. Whatever they do will be harshly criticized, it's not really fair. Cool that the dude's putting it together already! :mark:

That's all so awesome, AB!!! :mark:

I love seeing the Yankees do well, chiefly because it's what's best for baseball! :mark: Nothing would get me so excited as a Yankees/GIANTS World Series! :mark: Haha.

Very cool that a youth movement of sorts is underway in Yankeeland. Not sure if you have noticed but the GIANTS have been undergoing this as well in recent years and the latest contributors to the casue, Joe MVPanik (Yankee fan growing up in NYC as I know you know!) and Matt "Duffernaut" Duffy among others are spearheading its continuation. The Giants have a fantastic homegrown infield that is young and kicking ass.

The Yankees have improved their farm system the last several years in the draft, and I watched them keep that trend going upward this year in the draft, wisely foregoing the usual splashy free agent signings and instead hunkering down and drafting while attempting to compete at the same time. That's great. [to be continued]

Hope you're hangin' in there after the Knicks' draft.

AL East is seriously up for grabs 'tween everybody not named the Red Sox. :mark:

    Take care, AB!
