The fan service in HSOTD didn't bother me as much as the fucking swearing (ironic huh) I mean I like swearing as much as the next guy, but in an anime I find swearing to not really be needed, maybe in rare cases, but if they constantly swear I get so annoyed and will be like "Well this show sure has a dirty mouth, fuck this shit!" and I'll move on to the next show, there are rare shows that can manage to pull off that stunt with me, but HSOTD wasn't one of them.

Alright, the main characters were extremely horrible done as well, and if the main cast is unappealing to me you bet that I'm a goner since I don't wanna watch a show where I hate all the people that'll have most screen time.
