Look at Angle, he's a wrestling machine, we best appreciate him because he's a real wrestler unlike any of us. INTENSITY.
@ Memphis and Mid South. Proof that chaotic booking can work wonders in embracing the fun that is wrestling whilst also allowing for smart build and constantly delivering a satisfying payoff in the ring. Lawler/Funk feud is beautiful, the Dutch Mantell feud in '82 has arguably a top 5 studio angle ever with Mantell cutting one of the best promos in history in between, Duggan/Dibiase in Mid South and how they make on paper the most convulted gimmick match ever actually make sense in the context of the feud.
I think you'd love the Dundee/Koko Ware Scaffold match on youtube. Dundee is a former construction worker and circus assistant so is billed as a man comfortable with heights and it plays into the match with the unfamiliar Koko being more aggressive to win the match. The scaffold is scarily thin and lightweight yet they're beating the crap out of each other with Dundee taking numerous close shave bumps from the scaffold and busting out visually impressive and smart spots to incorporate the structure of the scaffold into the match.
