But since that won't be happening we'll have to deal with another protagonist vs. protagonist snore fest of cheesy 5 year old insults, culminating in Cena winning the title and the two men hugging and raising their arms and fireworks and confetti going everywhere, while the NY/NJ crowd storms the ring and murders both men.
Cena turning heel without a doubt. But I don't mind it happening as it is since it saves me from the misery of Punk's title reign. I think the Rock/Punk feud should teach them a lesson now. Maybe for Rock/Cena II, they'll get rid of all the stupid "you're not here every week, DWAYNE" bullshit and just do what they did with Rock/Punk. Ironic thing is, people fully expected the latter to be Dwayne/Phil based on their tweets and Punk's habit of calling people by their real names. Thank God it wasn't! Let's just hope they learn from that and do the same with Rock and Cena.
In all seriousness, the WWE title is already on the line. The match doesn't need anything else added to it. Besides, I'm almost positive that WM30 will be the conclusion of Rock/Cena story and I'm sure there will be an added gimmick next year to sell the end of the feud.
The only way it could get my interest is with Cena turning heel. Cena is already getting booed by 60% of the crowd, he would be over huge as a heel and taking the title off the Rock at WM would cement him as a mega heel.
Unless Cena turns heel, the next 6 months at least are going to be shit.
Mania rematches worked well for Shawn/Taker and HHH/Taker. But Cena/Rock just means over-long promos, WWE desperately trying to keep Cena getting cheered, and a not brilliant match at the end of it.
I also don't want a HHH/Lesnar rematch. Mania shouldn't have 2 main event matches that we've seen before.
Adding punk to the match would draw much interest because then you got all your fan bases covered. The kids and younger generation will root for cena, the attitude era fans will support the rock, and the hardcore wrestling fans will cheer for punk. Also like many have said rock looked tired his last 2 matches, with a triple threat its gonna take some of the load off him.
Triple threat matches involving Cena and Punk have been done tons of times. I just got tired of anything inolving Cena/Punk. If they decide to have this match it shouldn't be the main event. TAKER/LESNAR should be the last match of the night in this case.
IMO the only triple threat worth having as Main event would be ROCK/CENA/LESNAR and I can't see it happening anymore.
The match will draw. A heel turn will send the smarks home happy and it'd actually be really good for the WWE's product. It'd be a momentus moment for sure.
A clean win for the title would make no sense to me, though.
Build up a heel turn for Cena where he officially turns at Wrestlemania. If there's a story behind it, then it'll make more sense rather than it just happening out of the blue. That'll also generate the interest because if they make it seem like a heel turn is possible (which it probably isn't), people will buy Wrestlemania hoping to see what'll happen.
Even if the IWC hates it,Rock vs Cena 2 will draw interest among the casuals.Whether a heel turn happens or not,Rock vs Cena 2 will draw
