Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
Funny Games has always been a mixed bag for me. I was never a fan of the "breaking the fourth wall" element, but both movies had capable actor and there was an undeniable unerving tension throughout as the movie built towards it's climax. I thought that the little boy they cast in the U.S remake was absolutely BRILLIANT. Go back to the scene where he escapes, enters a house and gets caught by Michael Pitt's character. His reaction and facial expression is one of the greatest performances i've ever seen coming from a kid that age.
