Re: WrestleMania XXIX Match Card Predictions

My WrestleMania 29 Card

WWE Championship (Twice In A Lifetime)

The Rock (c) vs John Cena

The re-match of all re-matches at WrestleMania 29 with this setting up Twice In A Lifetime with The Rock coming into this match as WWE Champion by him beating CM Punk at the Royal Rumble to become the new WWE Champion and then beating Punk once again at Elimination Chamber to retain the WWE Championship, with Cena ultimately winning the Royal Rumble Match as a way to set this WrestleMania 28 re-match at WrestleMania 29 and base it off the fact that Cena in his mind in his own physique after losing to The Rock at last year's Mania he has never been the same since and because of that, that is why he had such a horrible 2012 but that now this is his chance at redemption by being able to face The Rock once again since he has started his 2013 off right by winning the Royal Rumble outlasting 29 other superstars to win the match for the 2nd time in his career joining the likes of Stone Cold, HBK, and Hogan to do that and then base it off the fact that Cena can't beat The Rock which then ultimately causes Cena to end up turning heel as a result of this match

World Heavyweight Championship (Triple-Threat Match)

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs Randy Orton vs Sheamus

How I would set this match-up up would be that I would have Del Rio retain his World Heavyweight Championship against Big Show in Last Man Standing having 2 wins over Show in that type of match-up and then Del Rio barely retaining his World Heavyweight Championship inside the Elimination Chamber beating 5 other guys, and then afterwards in order to determine a #1 Contender for Del Rio's title at Mania, Orton steps up to the challenge only for Sheamus to interrupt Orton and then it afterwards setting up a #1 Contender's Match for the title between Orton and Sheamus and it ending in a draw. Orton obviously not happy with that turns heel in the process attacking Sheamus brutalizing Sheamus to the point where his heel turn is very much apparent now laying Sheamus out with an RKO and then when Sheamus starts to stir, Orton is about to punt Sheamus' head off his shoulders, Del Rio comes to Sheamus' rescue which causes Orton to bail from the ring and Booker T the Smackdown GM coming out to make the announcement for WrestleMania 29 that Del Rio will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton and Sheamus in a Triple-Threat Match with Orton having an evil icy venomous look on his face while Del Rio has a fighting look on his face while Sheamus is looking on in astonishment

Ryback vs The Big Show

This would be a true clash of the titans right here with this match-up coming together as a result of Big Show coming up short in Last Man Standing again enters himself into the Royal Rumble Match and then comes out dominating people until Ryback comes out and Ryback completely cleans house which then results in him eliminating Big Show from the Rumble match and Big Show so pissed off after losing his re-match to Del Rio earlier on in the night and then getting eliminated by Ryback from the Rumble match comes back in and starts attacking Ryback eventually hitting Ryback with the WMD Punch which sends Ryback over the top rope and out of the Rumble match eliminating Ryback and then from there, you can build up the rest from there

Money In The Bank Ladder Match Returns to WrestleMania

Kofi Kingston vs Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow vs Kane vs Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett vs Christian vs The Miz

This would be the ultimate return of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania and it would be the first time since WrestleMania 26, 3 years ago, that we would get a Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania and plus with the favorites in this match being Kane, Bryan and Miz based off the fact that they are former Money in the Bank briefcase holders and off the fact that Christian pretty much revolutionized the Ladder Match he too would be a favorite but then no one would be counting on Barrett to walk away with the win considering he is the WWE Intercontinental Champion but also it would be a way of surprising people by having Barrett win the match holding that briefcase but also having the Intercontinental Championship in his possession, Barrett with his briefcase he can cash in on either champion meaning it would be an interpromotional briefcase which then makes his cash-in all the more exciting and unpredictable

Six-Man Tag Team Match

The Shield (Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins) vs D-Generation X (New Age Outlaws and X-Pac)

How I would set this one up would be that I would have D-Generation X all 3 members being Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac all return in the build-up towards WrestleMania 29 by having The Shield attack them on an episode of RAW to build this match-up up to the point where The Shield brutalize all 3 of them and this would be a classic match of old-school vs new school with The Shield going over D-X at WrestleMania 29 to further establish The Shield as new stars of this business and besides on paper it would be a great match-up when you really think about it

The Streak (21-0 or 20-1)

Undertaker vs CM Punk

How I would set this match-up up would be based on the fact that CM Punk loses the WWE Championship to The Rock at Royal Rumble, and then the next night on RAW he goes on and on about respect and about how his 434 day reign is more impressive than any other streak in WWE history even outshines The Undertaker's 20-0 WrestleMania streak and that if he had the opportunity to face The Undertaker at a WrestleMania he would be able to do what all the others couldn't and that is not just end The Undertaker's streak but to ultimately destroy The Undertaker because he is The Best In The World, and then GONG! the lights go out and then a video plays on the screen of Undertaker's WrestleMania victims from 20 all the way to 1, and then classic Undertaker mind games with lightning striking the ring posts and then the ring posts being on fire with it raining in the arena as Punk is standing in the ring as Punk is clearly scared but he is trying not to show it while Heyman is going nuts and then the lights come back on, it stops raining and they have to put the fire on the ring posts out by extinguishing it but it is apparent Taker wants Punk and then Taker could be the one to cost Punk his re-match at Elimination Chamber when he faces The Rock to set up Taker/Punk at WrestleMania 29

WWE Divas Championship

Kaitlyn (c) vs AJ

This one pretty much writes itself really with the both of them being former best friends, they have a history that dates back all the way to NXT and then them clashing after that when AJ was involved with Daniel Bryan and then he dumped her publicly, Kaitlyn then being the one to tell AJ that she told her so about what would happen, AJ slaps Kaitlyn and their relationship has never been the same since with Kaitlyn ending up going her own way pursuing the WWE Divas Championship and eventually winning it on the 20th anniversary of RAW in her home town of Houston and AJ going her own way becoming the RAW GM only to lose her job but ultimately align herself with Ziggler and Big E., and not to mention WrestleMania 29 is in AJ's home state of New Jersey, so this pretty much needs to happen considering AJ is heel now and Kaitlyn being Divas Champion, this pretty much sets itself up

WWE United States Championship

Antonio Cesaro (c) vs Jack Swagger

How I would set this one up would be that I would have Cesaro go on and on each and every week about how much he loves America but how he hates Americans but how he is still the WWE United States Champion and he plans to stay that way until the day he retires and how there is no American left on the roster who can beat him much less even be worthy enough to face him for the WWE United States Championship and cue Jack Swagger's music as Get On Your Knees plays as it plays to a rather loud pop with Swagger coming out in red, white and blue American colors in his return with Swagger playing up to the crowd as a face and Swagger stepping up to the challenge of being the one to finally shut Cesaro up as the 2 of them have a staredown, a rather intense staredown with Cesaro raising the WWE United States Championship in Swagger's face above his head and Swagger taking exception to that attacks Cesaro which pretty much sets this match-up up all by itself

Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara

Now is as good a time as any for these 2 masked lucha libre wrestlers to mix it up with one another and especially on the grandest stage of them all and considering these 2 have been a team in recent months, this pretty much writes itself with it being a classic story of teacher vs. student mentor vs. pupil if you will with Mysterio being the mentor/teacher and Cara being the pupil/student and Rey when you really think about it is on borrowed time considering he could retire at any moment, what better way for Rey to go out than for him to face Cara, passing the torch to Cara in order for him to become the next "Rey Mysterio" of the WWE in just a match born out of pure respect between the 2 of them

I Quit Match

Brock Lesnar vs Triple H

The re-match of all re-matches with these 2 considering the first time they were in the ring together Brock Lesnar broke Triple H's arm and then the second time at SummerSlam 2012 Brock Lesnar broke Triple H's arm again in that Kimura Lock causing Triple H to "retire" and obviously since Triple H would want revenge against Lesnar not just for doing all of that but for attacking Triple H's best friend Shawn Michaels too a while back, Triple H then tells Lesnar that he wants a re-match with him but Lesnar of course refuses because he doesn't want to waste his time on Triple H and Triple H then tells Lesnar he will make things interesting by saying how their rematch at WrestleMania 29 will happen but that it will be in an "I Quit" match where the only way you can win is by making your opponent utter those 2 words that are so embarrassing, so humiliating and especially on the grandest stage of them all, it would be better than their SummerSlam 2012 match with Triple H ultimately making Brock quit

* As for Dolph Ziggler, I didn't put him on the card and the reason for that being that he would eventually cash in his briefcase on the World Heavyweight Champion anyways whoever it ends up being at WrestleMania 29 to further cement his legacy
