Interesting for sure. The college game was actually more popular than the pro game in that era. That's not an actual reason why the All Stars would win, just throwing that out there.

It was a different game back then. Notice how the NFL begins to dominate and not a lose a game by the mid 60s? They stopped before '78 when the game really changed to its modern form we see now. The disparity in speed and complexity has only increased since '78 as well.

SAMMY BAUGH won the first game for the College All Stars. Not surprising since he was about as good as a QB could be and was decades ahead of the game. Baugh would still own modern football.
