Default Re: WWF Brawl For All

It was interesting and different but the execution stunk. The reason that wrestling usually delivers is that it is scripted (not fake, thank you). Boxing, UFC, etc. can be huge duds on the entertainment spectrum because they are unscripted so you may get a boring fight or a quick knockout or some kind of weird finish. A WWE/WWF crowd would be bored at an amateur wrestling contest and the same happened with the unscripted Brawl for All. To many in the audience, they thought the over the top scenes from movies like Rocky were boxing and these matches fell short of that drama.

As markdeez33 noted, these guys are not trained boxers for the most part, so it just came off as sloppy for anyone that knew anything about boxing.

Just to clear up one thing, I think Savio Vega suffered a shoulder injury and was released not too long after. The injury toll from this was huge. I don't think the WWF brass anticipated that.
