If someone says something that's offensive or might make the company's image look bad, they have every right to reprimand that person. Besides people should know by now that putting anything on the internet will travel pretty quickly.
If someone is talking shit about the company itself, I can understand concern about it. You're scaring off potential customers/clients.
If you are badmouthing someone, I don't think it is a cause for anything, really, especially if the name of the company is not being said, which it usually isn't, it's just people complaining that so and so is a fucking dick.
