Intro: Hello and welcome to all our viewers across the world, to the Twenty-sixth annual Royal Rumble! Tonight we will see thirty men compete for the highest honour in this industry... the right to main event Wrestlemania! But that is far from all, because tonight, The Rock returns to a WWE ring for the first time since last year’s Wrestlemania, this time to challenge for the WWE Title, which lies around the waist of CM Punk. Will The Rock prevail and claim a 13th World title? Who will be in the Main Event of Wrestlemania 29? We will know the answers to these questions and many more before the end of the night.

Match 1: The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) vs Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow)

The commentators remind everyone that the winner of this match will get a shot at Team Hell No!’s Tag Team Titles in the near future.

Team Rhodes Scholars enter the ring first, then await The Usos. The twin sons of Rikishi make their way out onto the stage and perform a passionate and bone chilling Siva Tau before charging into the ring.

Cody Rhodes locks up with Jimmy Uso to open the match. Rhodes wins the initial grappling and hits Jimmy with a back suplex. The Second generation Star pulls his opponent across the ring to his corner, and tags in Sandow. Before leaving the ring, Rhodes helps his newly tagged in partner by delivering a double suplex to their opponent. Sandow taunts Jimmy with a few stomps, before the Samoan pushes himself to his feet. Sandow continues toying with Uso, slapping him in the face to taunt him. Jimmy Uso strikes back though, with a shot to Sandow’s face. Jimmy keeps the blows reigning in, hitting Sandow with shot after shot directed at the face. Sandow finally puts a stop to the beating with a vicious clothesline to the Samoan. After taking a few seconds to regain his composure, Sandow hits Jimmy with a knee drop. The Duke of Decency picks up Uso to continue the beating, however Jimmy manages to counter. The Samoan hits Sandow with a shot to the gut, followed by a powerful uppercut to send The Lord of Literature Staggering back. Jimmy dives towards his corner and tags in Jey, who rushes into the ring. Sandow also makes the tag to Rhodes, who joins the battle.

Jey clotheslines Rhodes as soon as he enters the ring, then carries on to his opponent’s corner, where he knocks Damien Sandow off the ring apron. Jey turns back to Rhodes and hits him with a spinning neckbreaker!

Jey covers his fallen opponent

Rhodes manages to kick out, but The Usos are looking promising.

Jey drags Rhodes to his corner and tags Jimmy back into the match. The pair double team Rhodes, hitting him with a double back elbow followed by a double elbow drop. Jimmy continues the attack after Jey leaves the ring. Jimmy picks up Cody and delivers a fisherman’s suplex to The Second Generation Star. Jimmy looks to follow up with a pin, but Cody shows his instincts and counters into a cradle pin of his own!

Jimmy barely kicks out!

Rhodes finds some momentum however, hitting Jimmy with a dropkick. Rhodes then springboards off the ropes and hits Jimmy with a disaster kick! Rhodes crawls over to his opponent to make the cover...

Jimmy kicks out!

Rhodes pulls the Samoan up, and sets up Cross Rhodes. Jimmy counters at the last second and turns it into a DDT! Jimmy has taken a lot of punishment and crawls over to his corner to make the tag. Cody does the same, and Damien Sandow is tagged in.

Sandow and Jey charge at each other and exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Jey Uso Irish whips Damien Sandow into a neutral turnbuckle, and follows it up with a clothesline into said turnbuckle. Jey picks him up, but before he has a chance to continue his offence, Sandow brings him down with a high knee. Sandow picks up Jey and sets him up for Terminus...

Sandow delivers his finisher! Ramming Jey into the ground!

Before Sandow can capitalize however, he is distracted by Kane running down to the ring and getting up on the ring apron! The referee and Sandow rush to the ring to stop him, and Kane gets off the ring apron and leaves.

However, while the referee is distracted, Daniel Bryan emerges out of the crowd, pulls Rhodes off the ring apron and knocks him out with the Tag Team Championship belt! Bryan then disappears back into the crowd.

Also, while the ref and Sandow’s backs are turned, Jimmy Uso pulls a Twin Magic, dragging his incapacitated brother out of the ring and slides in to replace him!

Once Kane has left ringside, Sandow turns back to what he believes to be Jey Uso... only for Jimmy to leap up and hit him with a Samoan Drop!

Jimmy covers The Duke of Decency...

Winners via Pinfall: The Usos!

The Jey rushes into the ring to celebrate their massive victory!

With that win, The Usos have earned themselves a title match against the very team that possibly won them this match... Team Hell No!

Match 2: Divas Championship Match: Eve (c) vs Kaitlyn

If Eve gets disqualified or counted out in this match, she will lose the title...

Kaitlyn starts the match strongly, but Eve soon retreats out of the ring to escape and frustrate her challenger. Kaitlyn chases her opponent around ringside, but Eve slides back into the ring. Kaitlyn follows her into the squared circle, but before she can get to her feet, she is attacked by the champion. After about a minute of offence, Eve lays her challenger out and delivers a bootysault.
The Champion covers her opponent...

But Kaitlyn manages to kick out.

Eve picks Kaitlyn up to do further damage, but the challenger rolls her up into a small cradle...

The Champion kicks out in the nick of time!

Kaitlyn is quick to capitalize, hitting Eve with a running powerslam. Kaitlyn then Irish whips her opponent into the ropes and hits a sidewalk slam. Kaitlyn then picks her up and delivers an inverted DDT. The challenger covers the champion...

But eve kicks out once again!

Kaitlyn stomps on Eve a few times, before picking her up to deal further damage. Eve quickly counters with a kick to the gut and sets up The Heartbreaker!

However, before Eve can execute her finisher, Kaitlyn counters yet again and seemingly out of nowhere hits The Atomic Wedgie Drop!!!
Kaitlyn covers the champion...

Winner via Pinfall and NEW WWE Divas Champion: Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn celebrates by charging into the crowd, along with The Divas Championship belt. Meanwhile, Eve has a tantrum at ringside...

**Weeeeelllllllllll It’s a Big Show! **

The World’s Largest Athlete makes his way down to the ring for his rematch with The World Champion. The Giant makes his way down to the ring without a smile on his face, his thoughts fixed on the task at hand. Upon entering the ring, Show taunts the fans with his enormous, 16 inch fist.

Del Rio’s music hits and the World Champion makes his way out, with his usual limousine and entrance theatrics. He keeps eye contact with The Big Show all the way up until he enters the ring.

Match 3: Knockout Match for The World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) w/ Ricardo Rodriguez vs The Big Show

The match Begins and Del Rio tries to lock up with The Big Show, only to be swatted away by The Giant. Del Rio gets up and dodges Big Show’s next punch, then rebounds off the ropes and brings the big man down with a chop block. The Mexican Aristocrat goes up to the top rope for a moonsault, only for Show to get his knees up and the last second.

Del Rio writhes in pain across the ring, as The Giant gets to his feet. Show picks up Del Rio and hits him with a military press slam from his full seven feet of height. Show stomp on Del Rio a few times before putting all his weight behind a powerful elbow drop. Big show picks Del Rio up for another military press slam, but Del Rio escapes and lands behind The Big Show. Del Rio low blows the no1 contender, and then follows up with a bulldog to send the big man face first into the mat. Del Rio hits Show with several stomps before going for the ground and pound. However, this does not last long, as Big Show grabs Del Rio and throws him off.

The challenger staggers to his feet, and Del Rio comes charging at him. Show stops the champion in his tracks with a clothesline, then picks up Del Rio and hits him with The Final Cut. Big Show gets back to his feet and hits the champion with a leg drop, followed by a full body splash. Del Rio writhes in pain from these high impact moves, as Show begins to toy with him.

Big Show eventually picks The Mexican Aristocrat up, and throws him into the nearest turnbuckle. Big show hits the champ with a clothesline into the turnbuckle, then uses a few powerful chops to further punish The Mexican.

Show then begins to taunt the crowd with his enormous right hand and prepares to hit Del Rio with it. However, The Essence of Excellence dodges it at the last second, which sent Big Shows punch straight into the turnbuckle that Del Rio had exposed while Show was taunting the crowd!

Big Show grasps his hand in pain, leaving him open to an attack from Del Rio. The champion capitalizes, hitting Big Show with a step up Enzuigiri!

However, Alberto Del Rio is hurting too much to take advantage on the situation, and struggles to get up off the mat. While Del Rio is trying to recover, we see Ricardo Rodriguez slip him something, which the champ puts in the back of his tights.

By the time Del Rio finally makes it to his feet, Big Show is up as well. The Champion stumbles towards the challenger, and hits him with a few punches to the head. Show soon responds by gripping Del Rio around the neck and hitting a chokeslam!!

Show staggers back for a few seconds after delivering his finisher, before moving towards Alberto for the final blow. Big Show leans over Del Rio and prepares for the Knockout punch.

In those few seconds, Del Rio pulls the object that Ricardo Rodriguez gave him out of his tights... a set of brass knuckles! Del Rio puts the brass knuckles on, and hits the Big Show just as he was about to deliver the Knockout Punch!!!

Big Show falls to the ground, and Del Rio rolls on top of him and keeps pounding away with the brass knuckles! Del Rio soon draws blood and eventually rolls off the Giant, allowing for the referee to check...

The referee confirms it! Del Rio has won!!!

Winner via Knockout and still World heavyweight Champion: Alberto Del Rio!!!!!

Ricardo Rodriguez rushes into the ring to help his employer to his feet, with Del Rio barely having the strength to stand on his own. The Mexican Aristocrat looks to the heavens in celebration of his incredible win!

**I’m here to show the World! I’m here to World**

Del Rio’s look of joy turns to that of horror as he hears Dolph Ziggler’s music. MR MITB rushes down to the ring, briefcase in hand, and flanked by Big E. Langston.

Ziggler hands his briefcase to the Referee and tells him he wants his title match now! Big show is pulled out of the ring by medical staff and the match is ready to go!

Match 4: World Heavyweight Title Match: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs Dolph Ziggler

Del Rio can barely stand but moves towards Ziggler. The Showoff clotheslines his opponent then waits for him to get up. Del Rio once again manages to stagger to his feet...
... Only to be met by a Zig-Zag!!!

Ziggler covers the Champion!

Ziggler is forced to stop kissing the title belt and start kissing AJ. Ziggler taunts the crowd with the belt, before finally standing tall over a fallen Alberto Del Rio.

*Raw 1000*

Rock: I just got word. At the Royal Rumble, whoever the champion is, they will go one on one with The Great One!

*Raw- 7/01/13*

Commentators: CM Punk has defeated Ryback in a TLC Match. CM Punk will go to the Royal Rumble and face The Rock.

CM Punk: -For over 400 days I have held this title.

-I am the greatest WWE Champion of all time! Not of the modern era

-Of all Time!

-I don’t do this for all of you people, I do this for me

-You people will never amount to anything more than paying to see me!

Rock: - CM Punk, you come out here and insult The People- The Rock’s People. And nobody insults The Rock’s People

-Now Thr rock’s been thinking, and he’s decided that he is sick and tired of CM Punk coming out here each and every week with that title belt and running his mouth.

-Punk, at the rumble, this reign of terror of yours is coming to an end
- Why? Because The Rock is sick and The Rock is tired of the way you disrespect this company, and the way you disrespect these people.
- So this Sunday, The Rock is finally gonna show you why you need to respect the people who pay to see you!

CM Punk: Dwayne, let me ask you something... how did you get this match at The Royal Rumble?

-I’ll tell you how, you went to Vince McMahon and you asked for it.

- My biggest problem isn’t with you, it isn’t with the fans, it isn’t even with John Cena, my biggest problem is with Vince McMahon, and the way he runs this company.

- In this company, no matter how hard you work, you will never get to the top if Vince doesn’t like you.

- And that, Dwayne is why when you say you are fighting for these people, you are spitting in the face of this business, and you are spitting in the face of people who work their ass off and never get anywhere because of Vince McMahon!

**End of Video Package**

Match 5: For the WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) w/ Paul Heyman vs The Rock

The Two in ring titans lock up to begin the match. Punk wins the initial Lock up, hitting The Rock with a hip toss. Punk stomps a few times on the challenger before picking him up for a fisherman’s suplex. However, The Great One counters the suplex, and hits a fisherman’s suplex of his own.

The Rock waits for his opponent to rise before clobbering him back to the mat with a thunderous running clothesline. The Rock sets up for The Rock Bottom. Punk sees this and rolls out of the ring to frustrate The Rock.

However, The Brahma Bull slides out of the ring and goes after The Straight Edge Superstar. The two exchange several blows at ringside, before The Rock takes control, banging Punk’s head off the announce table. Punk immediately responds by bouncing Rock’s skull off the table as well.

The Champion then looks to Irish whip the Rock into the steel ringsteps, but The Rock counters, sending The Voice of the Voiceless into the steel instead. The Rock rolls in and back out of the ring to break the referee’s count. The Rock turns his attentions back to CM Punk, picking The Champ up to deliver further punishment. However he is met by a kick to the head, from the champion! The kick lays Rock out at ringside, while Punk dives back into the ring.

After a few seconds, The Rock manages to rise to his feet at ringside. Seeing this, CM Punk decides not to wait for him to get back into the ring. Punk springboards off the top rope, crashing into The Rock with a diving crossbody! As a result, both men are laid out at ringside...

Both Challenger and Champion get to the feet and dive into the ring before the ten count. Punk is the first to take control, sending Rocky into the turnbuckle and following up with his patented high knee and bulldog. Punk covers The Brahma Bull...

But The Rock kicks out, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Punk is quick to react though, hitting Rock with a knee drop. Punk then goes outside the ring and waits for The Rock to rise. Once The People’s Champion has done so, Punk hits an emphatic springboard clothesline on the Rock. Punk gets up first and signals the GTS...

As Rock staggers to his feet, he sees this and reacts quickly. The Great One kicks Punk in the gut before he can execute his finisher and follows up with a DDT. Rocky then picks up The Champion, and hits him with a running powerslam. The Rock starts taunting CM Punk, then gets an idea...

The People’s Champion sets up The People’s elbow, pulling of his armband and throwing it into the crowd. Rock runs from side to side in the ring, before coming to a halt over the body of CM Punk. The rock delivers The People’s Elbow, only for CM Punk to dodge at the last second! Punk gets up and meets rock with a flurry of kicks to either flank. Rock goes for a clothesline, but Punk ducks, rebounds off the ropes and hits Rock with a dropkick.

Both men get up quickly and Punk goes for a kick to the head. The rock ducks and from out of almost nowhere hits a Samoan Drop!

Rocky covers the champ...

CM Punk gets the shoulder up.

Rock is on the offence however, hitting Punk with a belly-to-belly suplex. Rock then charges at Punk, looking for a clothesline, Punk ducks and hits a drop toehold, sending Rock face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Punk then picks up The Great One and delivers a German Suplex. The WWE Champion climbs up to the top rope, and mimics Randy Savage, before flying high to connect with a diving elbow on the People’s Champion!
A Randy Savage esque Punk covers The Rock...

But The Rock manages to lift his shoulder before the three.

CM Punk has had enough and picks up Rocky for the GTS! However, at the last second the Rock escapes, and pushes CM Punk into the turnbuckle. The Rock then gets ready to execute the Rock Bottom...

CM Punk unwittingly turns into The Rock’s finisher, as The Brahma Bull lays an arm around the Champion. But The Second City Saint refuses to allow Rocky to execute his finisher, hitting him with several elbows to the head. Rock is forced to let go.

Punk brings down the challenger with a leg lariat and again looks for the GTS. But this time he is met by an immediate punch to the face by The People’s Champion. Rock picks up his opponent and hits a spinebuster. The Great One sees his chance and turns Punk over, onto his stomach. Rocky grabs the legs of punk and locks in the Sharpshooter!

Punk screams in pain from the submission hold, and begins clawing his way towards the ropes. But The Rock pulls him back into the centre of the ring. Punk, still screaming in pain, continues to claw his way to the ropes... and finally makes it!

The Rock is forced to break the hold. He does so but immediately pulls Punk back towards the centre of the ring. The Great One looks to lock in the Sharpshooter again, but Punk kicks him in the head, knocking him backwards.

Punk staggers to his feet, only to be met by a charging Rock. However, before The Rock can execute his clothesline, Punk grabs him, and jumps. When they hit the ground, The WWE Champion locks in the Anaconda Vice! The Rock struggles but yells in pain. Rock finally manages to get a hand free and hits Punk repeatedly in the head, forcing the Champ to break the hold.

Punk pulls himself up on the ropes, as does The Rock. As Punk turns back to face The Rock he is met with a Rock Bottom out of nowhere!!!

But Punk feel too far away for the Rock to reach, and the Challenger summons all his energy to slowly drag himself towards the Champion. Rock slowly makes his way there, but knows every second spent crawling is another second for Punk to recover. The Rock finally gets there and drapes him arm over the WWE Champion

But the champ summons all his energy and lifts his shoulder off the mat!

Both champion and challenger get to their feet in the middle of the ring. Once at their feet, they take turns trading blows, causing a “booo” “Yeah” chorus among the fans. After trading several punches, The Rock starts to get the momentum, hammering away repeatedly at CM Punk. The Rock steps back, then rushes forward to deliver a powerful clothesline. But at the last second Punk ducks and the clothesline hits the referee!!!

The Rock realises he can’t win if the referee is down, and tries to revive him. However, while he is doing this, The Shield come out of the crowd and hit the ring, going after Rock! The Brahma Bull hears the crowd and turns to see the trio entering the ring. The Rock takes on all three members of The Shield, throwing Ambrose out of the ring first. The Rock then hits Rollins and Reigns with a double clothesline, knocking them both to the ground. Rock picks up Rollins and tosses him out of the ring. Finally, Reigns gets to his feet, only to be face to face with The Rock. The People’s Champion hits Reigns with a Rock Bottom and throws him out of the ring.

The Rock goes to the ropes, and The Shield retreat up the ramp. The Rock turns back to CM Punk... And gets met with a GTS!!!!!

Punk drapes an arm over the challenger...

The Referee pulls himself over to count the pin...

Winner via Pinfall and STILL WWE Champion: CM Punk!

Punk falls back after winning the exhausting match, albeit with the distraction of The Shield. With the help of Paul Heyman, Punk stands and claims his WWE Title, before staggering up the ramp and into the locker room.

The Rock is left in the ring to recover. When he finally stands, the entire crowd give him a standing ovation along with chants of “Thank You Rocky!”
