Would it hurt to give him a mid-card title run? I like Del Rio but it seems like he is always winning titles where it doesn't make much sense. He is like the transitional champion of champions. He lost to CM Punk in less than 2 months and will probably lose to Dolph Ziggler in less than a month. Him winning World titles just doesn't do much anymore since he is already a 3 time World Champion. WWE has this tendency to think the mid-card titles are beneath Del Rio, but I think a mid-card run would be good for him. Have Del Rio become IC or US champion, and since Vince loves the guy then perhaps he could make the IC title or US title seem more important. Then have him compete for a Wold title after he has a good mid-card title reign. It could help establish his baby-face turn a lot more and when he competes for a World title and wins it, it would mean a lot more IMO.
