I'd have gone with 6 PPV's a year:

Jan: Genesis - Bringing TNA into the new year.
March: Lockdown - Steel cage themed PPV.
May: Destination X - A showcase of the X division.
June: Slammiversary - TNA's anniversary show.
Sept: Victory Road - A big part of TNA's PPV history which can be marketed effectively.
Nov: Bound For Glory - Culminating all the major feuds of the year.
The ppv specials are smaller taped ppv at will probably be cheaper than the main 4 ppv's
