HIMYM is vile. You'd have to sober and live on your own in somewhere like Texas to be exposed it and enjoy it.
I got exposed to Friends a lot last year in Jamaica. TBS had it on constantly so I ended up watching a couple of episodes here and there when I was just chillin. Didn't hate it but it's not something I'd actively go out of my way to see. Matt Perry's pretty great on it. That's about it. I've somehow seen the last few episodes and the first few episodes due to TBS' running order that week.
