It's weird as Cena's popularity and relevance decline they seem to only put him in matches or segments with people that's already gotten themselves over so that he can leach off of it to keep him well relevant. Honestly at this point his character is so stale and directionless creative really has nothing left for him and has had nothing for years because there has been no evolution of Cena since his transition from rapper to marine 6 years ago. As he is seated in the top guy position to have him rarely lose is understandable but to have him lose all of one feud in about 5-6 years is lazy writing and zero character development.

You could argue that he is the face and as such shouldn't lose often and as much as I dislike Cena that is true. But Cena is 10 years in and his time is thankfully almost over it's time for him to start putting over the next generation and just feuding with them won't cut it. Yes having consistent matches with the top guy is great for your career but not when you lose every match or if you do get a lucky win you lose feud because Cena always has to have one more match and then you become irrelevant for the next year. And god knows when creative loses sight of you in wwe your done and that's what happens to most of his opponents with a select few exceptions who were already man event talent or the ginger dude on smackdown that been polishing trips balls the last 3 years.
