Choosing a good portable hard drive
So I've been looking into buying a portable hard drive. I've set my eyes on a Western Digital 1TB My Passport drive. (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/ca...affixedcode=WW
). I'm just looking for some reviews on it.
I've searched for reviews of this drive, and WD drives in general, and they all seem to say it's a good, reliable product, but some say it's a piece of shit. I'm just wondering if it's reliable. Is it something that will last me for years? (providing it's treated right) Because some reviews say it will, but some say it died in 6 months or under. Nothing of a really high importance will be held on it, It's just mostly to hold video files which are taking up a lot of space on my computer at the moment, and my collection of pictures/graphics, and to cut down on the number of flash drives I have laying around.
