Re: The Cult Presents - WWE 2011 - Entertainment Personified

WWE RAW and Smackdown present the road to Survivor Series!

With just four weeks between Vengeance and Survivor Series things certainly heated up quickly! On the post ppv episode of Monday night RAW we saw two huge matches made, Team Nash taking on Team Punk and Alberto Del Rio defending his WWE Championship against John Cena with The Rock serving as the special guest referee!

Stuck between himself and a hard place?

The Rock certainly has some conflicting issues heading into the blockbuster main event this Sunday. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment wants to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship in their match at WrestleMania XXVIII however says that he does not like Cena! However the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio hasn't done himself any favours in making an enemy of The Rock heading into his title defense. He sought the help of RAW interim general manger John Laurinaitias who reassured Del Rio everything would be fine during the contract signing on the go home show. Johnny Ace... would be proved wrong as The Rock left us more questions than answers heading into Madison Square Garden as he not only laid out Del Rio and the RAW GM but also delivered an emphatic Rock Bottom to his rival John Cena! What will happen when Rock dons the black and white stripes this Sunday!?

The final encounter.... but the expected one?

At Vengeance we witnessed the return of a certain Big Sexy Kevin Nash who took out our very own COO Triple H! Hunter would then challenge Nash to a match at Survivor Series, his response however was to be ambushed by Nash ultimately leading to CM Punk making the save for HHH. Johnny Ace then appeared and made the match of Team Nash versus Team Punk!? Triple H however wasn't in too bad spirits until Punk informed him he would NOT be on his team, Punk promised that the voiceless would get their voice at Survivor Series in the killing of the ratings killer Kevin Nash. The voiceless Punk employed for the task would be the following, Mr Money In the Bank Daniel Bryan, WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne and Long Island Iced Z Zack Ryder! Well Zack Ryder was picked by Punk, signaling the start of his Ryder revolution until on the go home show for Survivor Series Team Nash would take him out backstage leaving him a major doubt for this Sunday. Team Nash consists of; Kevin Nash, The Miz, R-Truth, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger! Punk and Nash will end their feud Sunday but will the COO Triple H have some involvement in an attempt at revenge on his former best friend?

Clash of the titans II

Also scheduled for this Sunday is a ring breaking contest... literally! After being inducted into the hall of pain by World Heavyweight Champion by Mark Henry, Big Show had his chance at revenge at our last ppv Vengeance. However he would not capture the World Heavyweight title as a spine tingling superplex collapsed the ring. Show will get the chance to take what Henry holds dear this Sunday as these two behemoths clash again. Henry holds the advantage heading into his title defense though as he sent Show crashing through the announce table on Smackdown two weeks ago, can Henry keep his dominant run going or will Show capture the big one?

Meeting of the minds

Two men who also captain Survivor Series teams on Sunday are Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and The Viper Randy Orton! These two psychotic minds have been embroiled in bad blood with each other lately and will settle the score on Sunday. Rhodes searched hard for some team mates and came up with some great picks, Wade Barrett, Hunico, Drew Mcintyre and Tyson Kidd are the men he has came up with. All four men just as dastardly as Rhodes himself, Orton's team would consist of Sheamus, Sin Cara, a rehired Chris Masters and Yoshi Tatsu! The latter sporting a new look and theme song has issues with Tyson Kidd and looks to take his chance on Sunday to end it with him. The balance is central for thi one, although Cody Rhodes stood alone on Smackdown among the bodies last week...

Last chance saloon
Christian has certainly had his issues with Smackdown GM Teddy Long and this Sunday further solidifies them. Christian insulted not only Teddy himself but also Teddy's wife on Smackdown forcing Teddy to react angrily, placing Captain Charisma in a match against a rehired Chris Masters. Out of frustration, Christian slapped Long across the face following his loss prompting Long to make a match for this Sunday, a match where if Christian loses he leaves Smackdown, the one focal point being that no one knows his opponent!

#1 Contendership on the line

Also this Sunday, two Samoan brothers look to go one step closer to capturing gold. Jimmy and Jey take on Primo and Epico with a match for the titles on the line.

The alpha divas

Beth Phoenix and Natalya have certainly had a dominant spell over the WWE divas for the past number of months. This Sunday the divas of doom face a test of a resolute divas locker room as Kelly Kelly and Eve unite to try and topple the two powerful divas.

Now for some backstage news...

WWE officials are said to have high hopes for Survivor Series this Sunday, apparently Survivor Series will play a big roll in the run up to WrestleMania as things start to heat up.

To try and shed some light on possible goings on this Sunday, WWE are 50/50 on placing Zack Ryder in the Team Nash versus Team Punk match, on one hand if he misses out it adds more fuel to the fire between him and US Champion Dolph Ziggler but WWE also want to capitalize on the fact Survivor Series is in New York, so close to Ryder's hometown.

Another choice that is still in the balance is the hand picked opponent for Christian, chosen by Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long, some possible candidates were John Morrison, a returning Kane and developmental star Seth Rollins, Rollins is said to be extremely close to a call up for the main roster and could get it this Sunday.

It isn't just Rollins making waves in developmental however as other stars such as Damien Sandow, Antonio Cesaro, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose are said to be nearing the main roster.

On the addition front, WWE are said to be in negotiations to bring Scott Levy back to WWE. Levy better known as Raven is said to be interested in the position of a trainer down in developmental.
