Re: Kofi Kingston - future main eventer or endless midcarder?
He should definitely get a shot and I'm still holding out hope that one day he will. He is a great & consistent worker, charismatic, over and is decent on the mic. He's hit & miss and sometimes he's the victim of shitty writing. His promo against Miz on Main Event was great. He was serious and the line about a dagger being behind his smile was great.
His character is fine. He's the smiling babyface but he has a energy about him that gets the crowd going. There are other guys who are just as bland & generic like Ziggler, ADR & even Punk now that have been in Main Event feuds. The crowd responds to him unlike a lot of the guys this forum considers great.
He will never be the face of the company but he fits the Rey Mysterio role perfectly. He'll be an upper mid-card/main event player. He's the perfect babyface for the Mysterio/Jeff Hardy underdog feel good story push. I guarantee fans would eat it.
Kofi has literally had 2 legit feuds in his career. 1 against Orton & his feud with Miz this year. In both he got the fans really behind him. He showed he can handle himself on the mic too. When WWE acts like they care about him he delivers.
he is a great worker, sells merchandise, extremely professional & most importantly fans like him. Some of you on this thread don't but it really doesn't matter. You can talk about how he doesn't have a character or his bland & generic but he has shown the ability to get the crowd behind him time & time again. There really isn't a reason he should be given 1 shot to prove himself.
Who is Johnny Curtis? Nobody...just the future of WWE!
