Yeah it's brilliant. There was already a movie (as in a proper thriller) made about it a couple years ago, haven't seen it but apparently it wasn't very good. The Imposter was the real story told by the real people. Yeah, it played out like a thriller, but that was the directors choice to reveal the information to us in that manner. I think the whole point was for the viewer to question it after watching it, the way it's told makes us believe something and then completely be swayed the other way by this 'Imposter', which in turns makes you wonder if you've just been dragged along for the ride and conned just like the family were. It's amazing. One of the best of the year.
