The BTB Advertisement Thread

The last thread was beginning to clutter and had lost some semblance to actual advertisements. This is a revised version of the BTB Advertisement thread.

Basically, this is the BTB Advertisement thread. Pretty self-explanatory, right? Wrong, here are the rules. Be warned - lack of adherence to the rules will result in a warning. If you keep it up, you will be given an infraction.

The BTB Advertisement thread allows you to post previews of your upcoming shows and PPVs and generate hype for an upcoming thread. In order to give prospective readers an incentive to view your thread, you can even post small samples of the advertised work in question, though these will be relegated to one paragraph.

If you wish, you can provide links to your threads following your advertisements.

Since the last thread was abused to some extent, I'm laying down some additional rules in order to keep this thread tidy.

1) ONE advert per every three days. We will check this thread every day to see if anyone is abusing the system and spamming the thread.
2) NO news, notes, or anything of that sort pertaining to your thread are allowed. We were lenient before in the last thread, but such posts belong in your thread. The BTB Advertisement thread is not your personal network - it is shared, and thus, only actual advertisements for shows are allowed.

Last, but not least; do NOT beg for reviews when you advertise. In jest, you can market your thread and mention reviews, but there is to be no fishing for 'em. It just reeks of desperation.

Thank you.

~Friday Night SmackDown~
May 11th, 2007
Mellon Arena
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Friday Night SmackDown rolls into Pittsburgh just nine days away from Judgment Day, with tensions running high on the blue brand, causing General Manager Teddy Long to try and re-establish order before things spiral out of control.

For months now Batista, Edge and Mr. Kennedy have in one way or another all had confrontations with each other. From before No Way Out, through WrestleMania and beyond, these three have always been in close proximity to each other, and now at Judgment Day, it’s time for the trio to put up or shut up. Last week, Teddy Long announced that the three would meet in a Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight, all three will be in the same ring as they sign their names on a contract that will make the match official. Be it Edge’s whining and complaining, Kennedy’s smart mouth, or Batista’s determination to let his actions in the ring do the talking, these three have been waiting for a chance to step into the ring together, and tonight they get their chance… although Teddy Long will no doubt be doing all he can to ensure they keep their hands off each other and save it for Judgment Day.

Batista will be in action earlier in the evening though as he steps into the ring with Finlay, G.M. Long’s way of punishing the veteran Irishman after his vicious attack of Kane last week. Finlay and Kane will meet at Judgment Day, but tonight, Batista and Finlay revive their rivalry from earlier in the year, with ‘The Animal’ no doubt looking to do Teddy Long a favour, and at the same time, prove once again just why he’s been such a dominant champion. Another member of the Triple Threat Match is also in action tonight, as Mr. Kennedy takes on Jimmy Wang Yang in King of the Ring action. Kennedy is understandably a favourite to become King, and he had no intentions of dropping out of the tournament despite the chance to become World Heavyweight Champion in just over one week’s time. Last week, Kane, Brian Kendrick and Tommy Dreamer all advanced, and this week, six more men look to follow them into the last sixteen. With ‘MVP’ now associated with Jonathan Coachman and King Booker in The Coachman Coalition, his match with Sabu now takes on extra meaning as he looks to restore the pride for his group after Booker’s loss to Tommy Dreamer last week. Meanwhile, the United States Champion, Matt Hardy, will be looking to keep the incredible run he’s been on going as he faces Regal, although he’ll no doubt have one eye on Judgment Day and his showdown with The Miz.

Elsewhere, Chavo Guerrero will continue his Rey Mysterio career retrospective as he takes on another opponent from Rey’s past. Last week it was Mysterio’s long-time rival Psicosis who stepped into the ring with Chavo, only for Guerrero to make quick work of him. Tonight, Chavo has invited another man with a storied history with Rey to the arena, and will no doubt be looking to send another message to Rey ahead of their Last Man Standing Match at Judgment Day. We’ll also be hearing from both champion and challenger as the Cruiserweight Champion, Gregory Helms, steps into the ring with the Number One Contender, Bryan Danielson, for an in-ring interview conducted by John Bradshaw Layfield. ‘JBL’ has never hid his dislike of Danielson, and this one is sure to be far from impartial, but Danielson has confirmed he will accept the offer of a chance to let Helms know exactly what’s in store for him come Judgment Day.

All of this, plus Teddy Long has granted an interview where he will give an update on the whereabouts of The Undertaker, Umaga and Chris Benoit, one month after the three were taken out of action in one way or another.

Confirmed Matches:

Non-Title Match: Batista vs. Finlay

King of the Ring Qualifying Matches – Round of 32

Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Mr. Kennedy
Matt Hardy vs. William Regal
Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Sabu

Chavo Guerrero vs. Another Opponent From Rey Mysterio’s Past

Plus! Batista, Edge and Mr. Kennedy will all sign the contract for their World Hevayweight Championship Triple Threat Match at Judgment Day, and ‘JBL’ will conduct in an in-ring interview with both the Cruiserweight Champion, Gregory Helms, and his Judgment Day opponent, Bryan Danielson!

WWE Championship:
~ No Disqualification/No Count Out ~

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. The Deadman The Undertaker

It was the night after Backlash, Randy Orton was celebrating defeating the then World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, and after winning the WWE Championship the night before, The Viper was on top of the world. But then it all came crashing down, as the final draft pick of the night was revealed, and the final pick was none other than Randy Orton’s long time rival, The Undertaker.

This rivalry began many years ago when Randy Orton was just making a name for himself, he challenged The Deadman to a match at WrestleMania, hoping to end the streak, and he came within an inch of doing just that. The rivalry continued through the year, but now it has been renewed as The Undertaker is targeting the WWE Championship. Orton managed to retain the championship at Judgment Day, thanks to Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, but now he has to do it one more time.

One on One:
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels vs. The Awesome One The Miz

Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest of all time, he is an icon of his generation, and he can still go with the best of them. The Miz is a young, brash up and comer who believes he can turn anything into gold. These two could not be more different, one lets his in-ring action do the talking while the other has no problem running his mouth and disrespecting the greats of this industry.

Shawn Michaels represents every legend that The Miz has disrespected, people like Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair and countless others but he also has a reason to defeat The Miz. He suffered a foot injury at the hands of The Awesome One at Backlash, and when HBK returned, he was targeted by The Miz once more. And he will have to deal with The Miz before he gets his wish at a WrestleMania rematch with The Undertaker.

Intercontinental + World Tag Team Championship:
~ Winner Take All ~
~ Wade Barrett is banned ~

The Monarchy; William Regal, Drew McIntyre & Nigel McGuiness vs. The Master of the 619 Rey Mysterio & Cryme Tyme; JTG & Shad

William Regal and Rey Mysterio’s rivalry began way back on the night after WrestleMania. It begun over the Intercontinental Championship, but it has now evolved into one of the most personal feuds in the WWE. And with the addition of Drew McIntyre and Nigel McGuiness to The Monarchy, the odds were stacked against The Ultimate Underdog, but Cryme Tyme came to his rescue, and that began a feud which has captivated audiences.

Be it, Cryme Tyme stealing The Monarchy’s personal belongings, William Regal recruiting a bare knuckle fighter to cost Rey the Intercontinental Championship, McIntyre and McGuiness laying waste to Cryme Tyme or The Monarchy attacking Rey in front of his little girl – this rivalry is personal and it will end in front of The Monarchy’s home town.

Money in the Bank:
Mister Money in the Bank CM Punk vs. The All American Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger is the last ever ECW Champion, but after coming to Raw, he has set his sights on the WWE Championship. He believes the quickest way to earn that title is by defeating CM Punk and taking his Money in the Bank briefcase. A case which practically guarantees the holder the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk is a former World Heavyweight Champion, but his reign was cut short by the current WWE Champion when he punted him in the head. Punk has stated he would love nothing more than to end Randy Orton’s championship reign, but he has to defeat Jack Swagger first.

Undisputed Women’s Championship:
Undisputed Women’s Champion Maryse vs. The Dark Diva Katie Lea

Maryse became the first ever Undisputed Women’s Champion by defeating both Beth Phoenix and Melina in a triple threat match at Judgment Day. She now faces a new opponent, the sinister Katie Lea. Katie isn’t your typical diva, she has taken issue with divas like Maryse getting shot after shot based on their looks. She now gets a chance at the Women’s Championship after “being held down because she doesn’t fit the mould of a diva” and it happens in front of her home fans.

Grudge Match
The Glamazon Beth Phoenix vs. The A List Diva Melina

Beth Phoenix is the former Women’s Champion and she believes the reason she lost the championship is because of Melina. Phoenix looked on course to retain the championship until Melina got involved at Judgment Day, Maryse would go on to win the title but this huge rivalry between Phoenix and Melina would begin to overshadow the Women’s Championship. These two straight up want to kill each other, and now they get their chance in this match.

Rubber Match
The Colons; Carlito & Primo vs. The Legacy; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

This is simple: It’s about how are the better tag team. Each team has a win over the other, and after a sneak attack by Legacy and then cheating to win, Jerry Lawler announced these two would go at it one more time, and it would decide who are better.

Bonus Questions
Predict the match order?
How many championships will change hands?
Who will take the fall in the six man tag?
Will there be any bloodshed? If so, which match(es)?
Which match will last the longest?
Which match will last the shortest?
Will the MITB be cashed in?
Will there be any surprise appearances?

Friday Night SmackDown
American Bank Center, Corpus Christi, Texas | 20th May 2011

Just two days before the superstars of SmackDown head to Seattle for Over The Limit, tonight they have one more hurdle; we’re in Corpus Christi tonight, and there are still dozens of questions yet to be answered.

Primarily, the question on everyone’s minds; will Kofi Kingston ‘choke’ during his first ever World Heavyweight Championship Match on Sunday? Current champion Alberto Del Rio seems to think so, telling the Ghanaian in no uncertain terms last Friday that he’s simply NOT ready for such a huge occasion. Kingston answered back with a great performance in the show’s main event, however, when he pinned Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes to send a huge message to the Mexican Aristocrat, dealing him his first defeat in a while in the process. Still, however, Del Rio remains confident, and tonight we’ll hear from both men ahead of their clash on Sunday. Last time they fought one-on-one at Elimination Chamber, Del Rio was victorious, but Kingston has a new fire lit inside of him, and maintains that he will take the World Title despite Del Rio’s reliance on his Administration. He has a chance to get some payback on that organisation, too, as tonight he faces the Man of Mayhem, the destructive Brodus Clay, in singles action in our main event. Can Kofi Kingston silence his doubters and loosen the Administration’s stranglehold on SmackDown in the process?

Elsewhere, Cody Rhodes is sure to be smarting after that loss last week, especially seeing as he needed to win to avoid dealing with Rey Mysterio again. The Ultimate Underdog told Rhodes that their business wasn’t completed, a saga that has run since before Wrestlemania, and tonight, Rhodes and Mysterio will enter the ring to air their grievances. This is because over the weekend we heard from SmackDown GM Teddy Long to confirm that these two men WILL face off again on Sunday, almost certainly for the final time, with the Intercontinental Title on the line. Now that Cody Rhodes MUST face Mysterio, will he see it as a chance to finally get his true vengeance on the luchador? Or will he want no part of a man who has chased him for weeks? Two very determined competitors will share their thoughts in the same ring, tonight on SmackDown.

Another match announced for Over The Limit was one sure to delight any old-school fans; Edge and Christian will reunite on pay-per-view for the first time in years to face all four members of The Corre in a Four-On-Two Handicap Match. This match spirals from Wade Barrett colluding with his comrades to eliminate the Canadians from a Battle Royal that might have got one of them a World Title shot; since then, we saw how much Edge and Christian felt aggrieved when they gave Heath Slater a con-chair-to last Friday night. After fooling The Corre with a pre-recorded VP on the TitanTron, the Canadians seem to have their number, and tonight they get the chance to go even further, when they take on Slater and Justin Gabriel for the WWE Tag Team Titles. At ringside will surely be the other members of The Corre, including Edge and Christian’s main focus in the unstable but conniving Barrett, and with just forty-eight hours until these six men collide, the famous tag team have a chance to strike a huge blow by entering Seattle as champions. The question is; is it truly written in the stars for Edge and Christian to become Tag Team Champions for the first time in ten years, or will the very-capable team of Gabriel and Slater knock off yet another challenge?

Sin Cara has been on fire since his debut, but last week he was stopped in his second match against Drew McIntyre, when the Sinister Scotsman caught him with a surprise Future Shock to pick up the win. These two stand at a victory each over the other, but tonight they engage in a rubber match to determine which one of them truly has the brighter SmackDown future. Many people have pointed to Sin Cara’s inability to lock in La Mistica on McIntyre – can he change that tonight? It’s Sin Cara and Drew McIntyre, the decider, and one of them will certainly be walking out of Texas as the ‘better man’.

Also tonight, Jack Swagger is in action ahead of his match with the Big Show on Sunday, and the ‘Rule-Breaker’ Curt Hawkins takes on another high-flying daredevil in the form of Trent Barreta!

Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio in the same ring

Height 6'1 |Weight 232 lb
Origin - Damascus, Syria
Signature Moves - Scorpion Deathlock
Syrian Clutch - Damascus Head -Leglock
Background - Akhim is a gifted olympic Greco-Roman wrestler, skilled in Turkish yağlı güreş and Russian *****. Dangerous and efficient, the public calls him "The Scorpion" due to his ability to slowly drain his opponent's will to fight. He's incredibly confident in his skills, but is a more neutral force when it comes to other competitors. Piss him off and you'll feel the sting of the scorpion.

Appearance - Olive skinned, with a heavy stubble, amber eyes, and dark, curly neck-length hair. His in-ring attire consists of gold trunks with a scorpion on the back, gold boots with a scorpion's tail wrapped around, and gold elbow pads. His entrance attire consists of a gold, lavishly adorned Ghutrah and a gold vest with a scorpion insignia on the back.

Bernstein
"The Right Hand of God"
Age - 33
Height 6'7 | Weight 288 lb
Origin - Vienna, Vienna, Austria
Signature Move - Godhand - Diving Chokeslam
Background - A man who considers himself divine is either dangerous or delusional... or both. Dangerous, cold, and unsympathetic to the plight of others, Bernstein is the kind of man you don't want to get in the ring with. His moral compass swings in a completely different direction and conflicts with societal norms. Despite this, he carries himself a like-minded man of sophistication and taste. Either appearances can be deceiving or it is society that has fooled itself.

Appearance - Physically imposing, Bernstein has blonde, shoulder-length hair and fair-to-tan skin. He has green eyes and a scar under his right eye. He's built like a motherfucker, ala Triple circa 2002. His general appearance is very much like this - http://images.wikia.com/snk/images/3/3d/Rugal-cvs2-fl2.jpg. His in-ring attire consists of red trunks with gold accents and a gold Austrian military merit cross insignia on the front and back. He wears red boots with red/gold knee guards, red elbow pads, and a fingerless glove on his right hand.

Façade
"The Man Of Many Faces"
Age - Unknown
Height 5'9 | Weight 192 lb
Origin - Venice, Veneto, Italy
Signature Move - Ashes To Ashes - Changes as He sees Fit
Background - Façade is an enigma. Not much is known about him, save for his penchant for wearing Venetian masks and his bipolar personality.

Appearance - Façade wears a variety of Venetian carnavale masks, but the two he wears often are the Volto Lorenzo in black and silver, and the full Joker mask in black and red. Depending on which mask he wears, his in-ring attire and mood change. His entrance attire changes as well, but feathers and fur are a common motif.

He is lithe and has an athletic build, with fair skin and dark, short hair underneath his masks. His eyes change color depending on what mask he wears.

Age - 27
Height 6'5 | Weight 266 lb
Origin - Berlin, Berlin, Germany
Signature Moves - Sternbuster - Inverted Death Valley Driver
Blitzkreig - Spear
Background - Agile and strong, Morgenstern is a force to be reckoned with. Once a member of Streitkräfte - Germany's Armed Force - Morgenstern de-enlisted at the age of 22 and turned his attention to pro wrestling. He was known as "Der Weiße Tiger" during his European independent days - he now carries that nickname to GCW, hoping to cement himself as the top dog, or tiger, in GCW.

Appearance - He has a bodybuilder's frame, with fair skin, deep blue eyes, and short, spiky blonde hair. He's clean shaven with the exception of a soul patch, has sharp facial features, and has the "Aryan" look down to a tee. On his back, he has a tribal white tiger tattoo. His in-ring attire consists of white trunks with light blue accents and a tiger's facade on the back, white boots with light blue laces and accents, white knee pads, white elbow pads, and white bare-knuckle gloves.

'The Dragon Rises'

As previously announced after the closure of the ECW Brand, it is to be replaced by a brand new concept called NXT, where the future stars of the WWE are given the chance to show off their skills in the ring to the entire world!

It was the Chairman of the Board, Mr McMahon, that announced that this new show will come to life, and rumour has it that he himself will be appearing LIVE on NXT in person! Many are hoping that McMahon will be able to shed some light on how this show is going to work, as we've not had much word on what the eight NXT Superstars are going to be fighting for, so to speak. Hopefully, Vince will be able to give away a little more tonight on NXT.

Speaking of the eight NXT Superstars, they will ALL be in action tonight to allow everyone to evaluate how they can handle themselves inside the squared circle. They will compete in four singles matches as follows;

Wade Barrett vs Darren Young

Michael Tarver vs Justin Gabriel

Heath Slater vs Ryback

Bryan Danielson vs David Otunga

It is believed that most will be keeping their eyes set on the main event, where David Otunga will be taking on Bryan Danielson. Danielson may well be already known by some of the fans in attendance and to many in the WWE Universe given his prominence on the Independent Wrestling scene, and the Internet Wrestling Community have been waiting in anticipation ever since it was announced that Danielson was taking part in NXT. Be sure not to miss the NXT debut of 'The American Dragon'!

WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN! - April 3rd, 2003
Spokane, Washington - Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, Norfolk Spoke

PREVIEW

SmackDown! cruises into the Norfolk Spoke, in the SVM Arena, just four nights removed from the biggest night in the history of Sports Entertainment: WrestleMania Nineteen!!

The pinnacle of the memorable night, was the memorable contest for the WWE Championship, which pitted two of the finest amateur wrestlers, and all out gladiators today, against each other - The WWE Champion Kurt Angle, and The 'Next Big Thing' Brock Lesnar. In a match which literally had it all, Lesnar would recover from a near career ending move - when he missed a Shooting Star Press - to eventually F-5 Angle, and capture the WWE Championship for the second time in his career. Unfortunately for Kurt Angle, his lose came at an even bigger cost, than just losing his Title. Angle will have to have surgery which will keep him out for a couple of months. This Thursday Night, our NEW WWE Champion will be on SmackDown!, and is expected to adress the roster, the higher-ups, and the live crowd. What will the Champ have to say?

In a match anticipated as "Twenty Years in the Making" Hulk Hogan overcame the Chairman of the Board and arch nemesis, Vince McMahon, in a grueling Street Fight. The two enemies battled each other, with the use of lead pipes, ladders, steel steps and much more, before the surprise arrival of 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, who attacked both men. After the 'Rowdy' one done his damage, Hogan was the one who capitalised, putting McMahon away after three pattened leg drops. Hogan, battered and bruised, is confirmed for Thursday night, as he's scheduled to address Mr. McMahon, the live fans in attendance - and old rival, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper.

Also at WrestleMania, SmackDown! saw two sets of their Champions, successfully defend their Titles, on the Grandest Stage of 'em All. Team Angle were able to see off the tandem of best friends; Rhyno and Chris Benoit, as well as the nephew and uncle duo, of Los Guerrero's; Chavo and Eddie. While, in the hot opener in Safeco Field, Matt Hardy, with the help of his "M'Fer" Shannon Moore, managed to barely retain his Cruserweight Championship against the agile masked man from San Diego, Rey Mysterio. Despite their fantastic night Sunday, Hardy, Haas and Benjamin are in for a tough one this Thursday. Team Angle defend their gold against the other team who was NOT on the end of defeat at 'Mania; Benoit and Rhyno - while Matt Hardy teams with Shannon Moore to face Los Guerrero's. Will it be another successful night for the men leading their divisions? Or has their luck ran out? And, where does Rey Mysterio fit into all of this?

Also on SmackDown!;
In the Main Event, The Undertaker's protege: Nathan Jones, does battle with the Seven Foot, Five Hundred Pound Big Show; Two of the greatest Cruserweights in the world today go one-on-one, as Jamie Noble battles Billy Kidman; The 'Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena battles Rikishi; And SmackDown! General Manager Stephanie McMahon will open the broadcast.

Friday Night Smackdown Preview
!! SEASON PREMIERE !!

Smackdown kicks off a new season with a bang, offering a Pay Per View worthy card on free television!!! THREE championship matches and a HUGE grudge match will be the particular highlights, as the blue brand descends upon the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, with what is sure to be a raucous audience in attendance.

And, of those three title matches, there will be none bigger than the WWE Championship match between reigning champion Randy Orton and the #1 Contender, The Undertaker. For Orton, it’s a huge challenge, less than two weeks removed from a gruelling, career shortening Elimination Chamber match, in which he narrowly escaped with the title in tact. Despite that, Orton does hold the dubious distinction of having never lost to The Undertaker in their last three meetings - albeit, each time through dubious circumstances.

For The Phenom, it’s an opportunity to hold a World Title for the first time in over FIVE years, and with Edge - the man he controversially defeated to earn the title shot - now out of the picture having sensationally QUIT the WWE last week, there appears to be no distractions now for The Deadman, as he seeks his FIFTH WWE Championship. But, while The Undertaker can be 100% focused on Orton, it appears Orton is almost too concerned with his ongoing dispute with the Smackdown GM, Arn Anderson. Will that cost Orton the title he has held for six months??

Meanwhile, two former tag team partners - champions, in fact - Paul London and THE Brian Kendrick will collide for Londons U.S Title. Since their mutual split at the end of 2006, both men have moved on to have tremendously successful singles careers - both currently holding gold - but that is where the similarities end between the former friends. Since capturing the Cruiserweight title at WrestleMania, Kendrick has alienated the WWE fans, his friends and his peers with his nauseating ego, allowing success to go to his head. And, he has made no secret of his desire to hold DOUBLE gold - with this Friday being his final shot at Londons title. Despite being unsuccessful at the Great American Bash, Kendrick still believes he is superior to London in every way … but to prove it, he’ll need to beat the U.S Champion in Detroit.

And, they say third time is a charm - and the Caribbean Connection will be hoping that that old phrase is true on Smackdown, as they get a third crack at the WWE Tag Team Championships, following two disappointments against Americas Most Wanted when challenging for the titles. At Summerslam, Carlito and Kofi Kingston outclassed the unmotivated and out of shape champions … but failed to capture the gold, when AMW deliberately got themselves counted out to keep the titles. Then, in a rematch on Smackdown, when it looked like AMW had run out of ideas … a saviour in the form of Michelle McCool helped save the titles for the second time. Now, with the challengers given a third chance, do Harris and Storm have ANY tricks left up their sleeve?? Or will the Caribbean Connection be sorry ‘bout AMW’s damn luck??

No title will be at stake, but where Batista and Garrison Cade are concerned - there doesn’t need to be; it’s DEEPLY personal. Ever since returning to Smackdown as his own man, ‘The Lone Star’ has been gunning for ‘The Animal’, and with two pinfalls over Batista already, Cade has certainly caught his rivals attention. This time, they clash with NO Disqualifications - meaning no excuses. Without a doubt, it’ll be a brutal, hard hitting affair, but when the dust settles and the smoke clears, which of these two big men will declare themselves ‘the baddest’ on Smackdown??

Plus, MVP takes on Elijah Burke for the third time. Having lost his cool and gotten disqualified last week, MVP wants one more match with Burke to prove his dominance, and to prove - once and for all - that he deserves to be in the ring with the ‘top’ stars, who he believes he will raise his game against. Can Burke upset the highest paid superstar on the Smackdown roster??
