It actually did, it validated that run for Cody Rhodes which shouldn't have ended when it did, he should have carried it to about September/October this year, lost it to Ryback and moved up the card himself.
the title lost credibility once Rhodes lost it to Big Show and it became pointless again with it being hot potato-ed and finally becoming a joke again with Joey 'The Wildcard' perennial midcarder holding it again.
The problem with the Spinner is its 'Cena's Belt' no matter how long you hold it, you look stupid, its as if they would have had the likes of Undertaker, Mankind, Triple H carry the smoking skull after Austin lost the belt.
