Looks great, especially considering you have not used Photoshop in a while. The background is my favourite part of the signature, it has a really nice look to it and the colours flow really well. Also, that AJ image really suits the concept of the signature too and it works well. Text is fine, it's been kept simple but it works.
CHAMP, I followed your Grungy tutorial and came out with this. I'm really proud of it, I used that Sratch texture you provided and also used an grunge edge texture. The Text looks fine for once as well and fits the image!
Hay. My NXT sig. This is like the second thing I've done in a few years and the first I've actually put a little time into. It's nothing complicated; just some brushing and gradient maps. I also edited the NXT logo to add my UN and the black bar to split the X but that only took about 5 minutes. The real thing I worked on was editing the cuts. They're actually PSDs because I'm lazy but I did a whole lot of retouch as far as adjustments and quality goes. They were already pretty high quality but I just wanted to see what I remembered. I know it's kinda loud and noisy, but that's kinda what I was going for. I may brighten it up and maybe tone down the noise with some "cloudy" brushes
Splashes aren't really my strong point though. If I decide to get back into PS I mainly like doing photomanips. A lot of editing and retouch, fuzing multiple pictures together, changing seasons in landscapes, etc. I also like vectoring. So if I stick with it that's probably what you'll be seeing from me. Thanks guys!
I'm pretty damn satisfied with it, especially off of the heels of the terrible Breaking Bad banner I made.
If this dude actually made this stuff, then he is legit. I'm always skeptical of guys who magically pop up with great work, but these pieces are really nice, especially the 'Taker one.
That sig is terrible, I dont know what you were going for but its not "wicked" or "sweet". The Batista cut out is just there and the red is just unappealing, background is forgettable.
@ why2cj: Your stuff's looking pretty nice lately, dude. I don't particularly care for your Velvet sig, but everything since has been damn good. Keep it up.
This is just a little something I made working with lighting and textures. Only about 30 minutes of work, so it's not really meant to be that great. There's still about 20 layers though.
Oh, and Destiny's piece for the TDL contest inspired the general idea of this 10 minute piece.
First Sports/WWE related GFX, hope you guys like it. Feel free to give tips and stuff:
I used a bit of Topaz Adjust as well, and all the stocks were dust and sparkles, with a bit of textures. I can't do anything good with text so I need a lot of help with it.
Well done! (Y) I would like to see more from you. I'm liking the feel of the signature, also that shade of red is awesome. :mark: It's a pretty solid piece, everything flows correctly. Only things that seems out of place is the text, but you already stated you have trouble with it. I wouldn't worry about Text too much at the minute. I'd suggest to download a load of fonts and just play around to see what works.
If you want to keep text simple. Do that. Never worry about making text too simple, as it fits the signature fine most times. I like to keep the text simple if I feel it fits. I also end up being a lot more happy with my piece in the end as I'm not just concentrating entirely on the text and disliking my piece because of it.
Wow, this is amazing! you guys are all supper talented! i deleted gimp today because i had no idea how to use it even after watching tutorials! awesome work
