Re: Would one World Title really be better for WWE?

They won't go back because they like running two sets of house shows (for obvious reasons) still, if one were to just set that aside there'd be no reason not to combine the titles. The WHC is, on its best day, a midcard title already. The brand split, although never treated very seriously, is now completely disregarded. Get rid of the WHC, and let the IC title set up into its spot. It really wouldn't be that difficult a transition since WWE treats the WHC as a secondary title anyway.

I know people will dislike this because it will result in many wrestlers not holding a world title who otherwise would if there were two. To that I say: Too bad. Part of the problem with the world title scene is it seems like anyone can hold the title. Any midcarder can step up, win the belt in some bullshit fashion, have a shitty reign, and then go back to Superstars. That's not a good thing. If getting rid of that sort of thing means that some wrestlers might be denied a world title reign, then so be it.
