Default Re: Wrestlers who ruined their own legacy

Kane is a bad example, he's still over and respected.

I don't think Backlund really hurt his legacy that much. He came back and lasted a long time in the Rumble to everyone's delight. Won the WWF Title again and yes he got squashed by a new big guy. He then turned into a looney. Doesn't matter, I think people still remember his long ass WWF Title reign well.

Flair is well on his way, he still gets respected everywhere he goes but he needs to become the GM on RAW or something, settle down and never get in the ring again.

Hall has tarnished his legacy. He went from being one of the hottest commodities in the business to doing nothing of note for years in WCW, even appearing drunk at times on live TV, to a druggy and alcoholic sitting at home all day.

Hogan has made too big of an impact on people's lives in the 80's and 90's that even a shitty reality show, his son crashing his car, his divorce with his wife, and this recent sex tape don't even hurt his character (only his wallet ). He has definitely tried to tarnish it though.

Matt Hardy to an extend.
