Just had a thought. With Aries looking to be out of the title picture soon, why not have him turn his attentions back the X-Division title as well? Have Aries take it off RVD ASAP, hold it until AJ returns, then give him and AJ a lengthy feud starting before Lockdown and ending with AJ beating Aries at Slammiversary, thus winning the right to challenge for the World title at DX.
