Default Forgotten Legends79: Chief Jay Strongbow

Starting out as Joe Scarpa, his own name, in NWA Georgia and Florida territories winning 17 titles for over two decades he became Chief Jay Strongbow after 23 years in his career when he joined WWWF with Vince Mcmahon.

He started out feuding with Jimmy Valiant and Billy Graham for the world title of WWWF never winning it. He had a feud with Lou Albano which ended in a MSG match which could be his most memorable WWWF moment as he was cut open in an attack by Albano during his match with Mike McCord.

He then feuded with Spiros Arion who was a super babyface who teamed with him but turned on him insulting "his" native american headress in the middle of the ring becoming a heel. He also had a WWWF tag title run with Sonny King and another with Billy White Wolf. He in parallel worked for Big Time Wrestling of The Sheik feuding with Bulldog Don Kent.

After a short feud with Johnny Valentine, he joined his kayfabe brother Jules Strongbow for another tag titles run which they lost to the Wild Samoans finally. He retired post this run after wrestling for 4 decades and winning over 21 titles.

A forgotten legend who is mostly known for mentoring Tatanka who portrayed a similar character in WWF in 1994, if at all.
