Actually, I think I agree with your Royal Rumble assessment.
I've been thinking for a while Punk loses the title to Rock and then wins the Royal Rumble for a WM rematch. Only problem is that would obviously have to come after the Punk/Rock match. I think Rock going for the WWE Title for the first time in 10 years is going to be the main event. So that couldn't work.
