Even if they are responding we won't be able to hear them because they're both so far underground.
Especially Noyk, that guy is so far deep under that he's meeting up with Phileas Fogg at the centre of Earth. In fact, his grave has been disturbed, his carcus dug up for everyone to laugh at before being re-buried while wild dogs piss on his tomb stone.
