And Ryback wasn't over? Those "Feed me more" chants were piped in? The pop in smarky NJ never existed? The Ryback shirts in the crowd were photoshopped?

It cuts short CM Punk's title reign

Which has done nothing for the product. And people don't care as much as they should(which is putting it mildly)

The rock is fighting the champion at the Rumble and it obviously can't be ryback, so it screws up WWE's plans

Plans change.

if CM Punk wins it back from ryback, ryback loses anyway and Punk's previous title reign gets cut short for nothing

At least Ryback would have won his first big match. And if he did drop the belt back to Punk they could have done a Brock 2002-2003, have him get revenge on the guy who screwed him, have him own the Rumble and win the WWE title at Mania in the ME.

Ryback needs more build, and he hasn't proven himself to be able to work the main event style

Then he should have never been put in that spot. And what's the main event style? A 25 minute technical masterpiece? Because you don't need that to become a huge star.
