That's what they do to those types of cuts -- they put a gloss over it to let it heal. But when guys are blading, cuts that usually require stitches and staples, then they'll use a Band-Aid so as not to worsen or re-expose the cuts. Simply, Miz didn't need a Band-Aid and his cut was better served without one. It wasn't about "legitimacy" or anything of that sort. Just wasn't bad enough to require one.
