This Kendrick album is dope! Been playing it all evening.

Very dense album, which I like. I can tell it's gonna be one of those albums where you catch new things each listen. Reminds me of a lot of 90's albums, where this is clearly HIS album. Like you listen to an Outkast or 2Pac album....that's THEM. They aren't sounding all over the place, trying to sound like everyone else. This album gives me that feeling.

I'm not crazy about all the interludes at the end of songs....I'm not a big interlude fan, and if they are there I like when they're seperate tracks from the songs. I can fix that myself though.

He's definitely not chasing commercial fame, but the songs are good enough that he might get it on his own terms, which would be so dope. Hoping this really hits, it reminds me of when College Dropout was the "unite the backpackers and commercial fans" album.....this could do the same thing, it's sound is accessable without trying to be.
