Re: TNA 2013: A Revolution

The wrestling world is buzzing as TNA has announce the signing of Dave Bautista, better known as Batista of WWE fame. This is thought of as the biggest coup the company has pulled off since Kurt Angle debuted in late-2006. Batista is said to be very excited to be working with the talents in TNA. It had been public knowledge that Batista had become disillusioned with WWE during the latter part of his last run with the company, eventually leaving to pursue an acting and MMA career. His return to professional wrestling, and to TNA in particular, could suggest he had negotiated with WWE about a return to the company he was a multi-time World Champion in.

Batista is known to be close friends with WWE's Executive VP of Talent Relations and Vince McMahon's heir apparent, Triple H. The fact that he has gone to TNA could certainly end up souring that friendship. Triple H recently welcomed the idea of a return to the company for Batista claiming "Dave and I have always been on good terms. I'd be more than happy to see him come back for another run in the company." The news that he has signed with the opposition certainly won't please the folk in Titan Towers. Despite that, Batista is reportedly very excited about joining TNA claiming that he "relishes a challenge and that facing WWE will be the toughest battle of his career".

In further announcements regarding the 3-Hour Impact Special have been made, adding to an already impressive looking show. John Hennigan's debut match has been made official as he teams with AJ Styles, Kurt Angle & Rob Van Dam to take on the World Tag Team Champions Of The World, Austin Aries and Joey Ryan in a huge eight man tag team match.

Two other matches that have been added to the card include a special attraction singles contest between Mr Anderson and the returning D'Angelo Dinero in a match that could see the winner in contention for a Television Title shot and a tag team match that will see TNA debutants Natalie Neidhart and Beth Scarlet (the former Beth Phoenix) team up against Rosita & Sarita.

The final match set to occur on the show is an X-Division fatal four way match between Doug Williams, Kenny King, Sonjay Dutt and Chris Sabin, making his first TNA appearance since his injury earlier in the year.

Other news includes the announcement that Hulk Hogan & Sting will call out the members of Aces & 8s to try and end this conflict, once and for all. The group have been a part of TNA storylines since June and many in the company feel the reveal will need to occur sooner rather than later.

Last, but by no means least, having just signed to join the company, Dave Batista will be making his TNA Impact debut. No news as to whether this will be in a match, as an in-ring promo or otherwise but the news that Batista will be a part of TNA's first show in 2013 is sure to help boost the interest in the show to great heights.
