What changed in him when he lost his metal? Did he become more vulnerable?

Also, do you believe Wolverine works best as a main character, or should they take a 'less is more' approach to him, instead having him do stuff, but as a the part of an ensemble?

The man has tremendous moments as an individual, I adore his original claremont miniseries, but I think part of the appeal of that series is that it showed us a glimpse of wolverine, instead of just tearing off the entire curtain and mystery. Even in astonishing and new x men and god loves man kills, its not all about him. Its about all the x men, which Wolverine is part of.

Hell, half of Uncanny X force Dark Angel had wolverine burnt in half, and those were still great. It just made his return better
