In the past it used to, literally, come with the territory. Wrestlers used to almost be forced to fight outside the ring.

Things have changed but it's not like CM punk or Jericho or any of those wrestlers this has happened to took a beating.

Those wrestling fans aren't hooligans, at all. A hooligan is someone who goes out of their way to a match looki for trouble and find it. A fan who pushes a wrestler behind somebody else isn't a hooligan he's just a little fucker.
