Yes, mic skills have little to do with getting a push as a monster but Lesnar's push felt justified in a completely different way. Ryback is not even on the same map when it comes to athleticism and wrestling ability as Lesnar. And while Lesnar couldn't talk himself they at least gave him Heyman as a spokesman so the character could get some depth, instead of a silly one-liner that leaves the character as flat as it can be.
I'm quite sure Ryback has great chances of being pushed, but unlike it did with Lesnar this feels like a more desperate move.
