I personally love some of the gimmicks they had at the time.

Kendo Nagasaki is the man. Met him a couple of times and a sound guy, the gimmick of mysterious man "from the Orient" would have been so perfect as a guy they put through to face Sammartino/Morales/Hogan if Kendo had ever gone to the states. Like a UK version of Bill Eadie's "Masked Superstar" but with way cooler gear and backstory.

Catweazle and "Beautiful" Bobby Barnes. The Adrian Adonis like Bobby Barnes and the...Even now I don't know what the fuck Catweazle was meant to be.

Then of course you had fat blokes having the worst match on the card and it not mattering at all in Big Daddy (who was virtually imobile his entire main event run) and Giant Haystacks (who was so big he got stuck in the bog on a plane once).

Ah WOS, they don't do it like that anymore.
