Re: Kofi Kingston Sucks
To tell you the truth, it isn't this media pandering that's a problem, moreso the fact that they're forgetting to be a wrestling company. I know very little about professional wrestling as a whole but it's an intriguing business simply to observe from a pragmatist's point of view, as well as how its represented and accepted in culture (particularly American culture). However, even people who aren't very knowledgable in the important aspects of the business are seeing the unmistakable trend of a company trying to shed away from its core identity and forgetting how to handle its key occupation. The writings on the wall as you put it, even for casuals who notice the changes as much as we do.
One thing that should always, always be in the back of Vince McMahon's mind is that he chose to carry on a professional wrestling company and that is what it will always be to the public. That's in spite of how much he may (keyword:may) try to convince himself he's smarter, more ruthless, more business orientated, more brave and more diligent than the dumbarse fan he caters to.
