Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

Good for Brye. Kobe, Ellis, Chandler, Iguodala, and Rose are a good set of 5 that can be keepers and MKG could (and I think he will) be a star in Charlotte.

I can see what Champ was aiming for, but I'm unsure if A'mare will end up working out in the long run.

I doubt I'll even pull the trigger on a Unibrow trade. I would like to get back another player with high potential considering I'm more than likely not gonna make the playoffs. But I doubt there's a player someone's willing to offer that could come close to the potential of Unibrow.

Hmmm

The way I'd break this down would be as follows.

- Ellis and Mayo more or less a wash. Different contributions from both that cancel each other out.
- Stoudemire, Nelson and Sanders for Kobe and Thompson. IDK. Depends on what Stoudemire can do.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

In general people are way too crazy about the veto in these leagues though. Don't listen to explanations. Don't justify why they think it's bad. Just look at players at face value. I'm sure no one here actually thinks Ellis and Mayo are a wash but they really are. Look at the stats if you want to see for yourself. I'd probably take Mayo's better 3P M rate over Ellis anyway.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

Kobe has been the second best player in our league this year. He's trading him for Amare, whose still injured, Sanders, and Nelson. Nelson shouldn't even get played that much. The only way that it's really fair is if Champ wanted keeper value out of Mayo or something as Kobe won't have any keeper value next year.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

As long as people are only looking at Kobe and not Ellis here. Ellis is not that big of a deal. Maybe Champ thinks Amare can rebound, or Sanders will be the next Ibaka. His BLK rate this year is insane. He's had some good games. Has potential. Who knows. I don't think this trade is worth having an aneurism about.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

Maybe he thinks Sanders will take Ilyasova's spot as starter? Maybe he thinks Amar'e will return looking like he did before last season?

Who knows, people in here are always crying for a veto. There's obviously a reason why Champ went through with this trade, it's his team so he should deal with what happens, whether it be good or bad.

It's even worse in baseball. Every trade gets 3 or 4 veto votes. Regardless of the trade. It's kinda funny really.

If it were up to me there wouldn't be any trade vetoes. I shouldn't have a say in a trade Brye & Champ complete just like Brye & Champ shouldn't have a say in a trade me and Aid complete for example.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

Well it's not really that simple Notorious as if AWFUL trades are made the complete fuck up the balance of the league then there needs to be something to protect the league. I don't immensely care in this league as no money is involved but I wouldn't play in a cash league that didn't have a veto rule. People in these leagues have just gone overboard.

Who vetoed this trade and why? 2 of you did it. Based on what?

I can understand that but I have yet to see a trade in this league that completely ruined the balance of the league. I have yet to see a trade that I felt was so bad that it should be vetoed.

As far as the vetoing rule, well yes I can understand having in a cash league but this is no cash league and to the majority of people in here, this isn't even their main league.

I'm pretty sure the two people who vetoed were Magic and WWF, as usual.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

The only ones I think are points scored and 3PM.

Don't see how he hurt himself when it comes FG% & FT% considering he got rid one of the most inefficient players in the NBA in Monta Ellis and Mayo/Sanders have both been efficient from the field this season and I'm sure Amar'e will shoot over 50% when he returns. As far as FT% goes, he added a 95% FT shooter in Jameer Nelson and O.J. is also an efficient FT shooter.

He shouldn't hurt himself too badly in steals. As far as assists goes, he added Jameer Nelson who averages more assists than everyone he traded and O.J. also averages close to 4 a game.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode

Umm what? You realize Mayo alone gets about as many 3s per game as Kobe and Ellis combined ya? Then Nelson another almost 2 a game.

Brye improves at points, rebounds, steals and FT%. That's about it. Assists, FT% are a wash. He loses TOs, 3s and Blocks.
