I don't really have a problem with people jumping ship. It's a bit strange when older people switch allegiances but I'd say if you're under 16 then fair play. You can't expect everybody to stick with the team they one day randomly chose when they were 4/5 years old. Especially when it comes to sport where you invest a lot of time, money and energy into your team.
I have a mate who supported Manchester United up until 2005 when he switched allegiances to City. Of course nobody really said anything up until recently but now he's seen as some kind of glory hunter even though at the time he switched clubs there was no sign that City would win anything any time soon and took them a good 4/5 years to even win the FA Cup
