Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Trade waiting is usually cheaper if you consider how much it is to buy a new issues within a month or two its out.
Lets say the normal issue is $2.99. A normal trade is 4-6 issues and costs $10-14 on Amazon.
4 issues at $2.99 + tax is $12 + tax, 6 issues is $18 plus tax. Plus there is also the peace of mind of only getting stuff you know may be good or worth it. You could buy every Spider-Man issue this year and guaranteed there will be a good number of bad issues that you wish you didn't spend money on. If you wait for the trades, you'll at least know what the opinion is and what could be avoided.
And then there's also the alternative of reading them online and then if you know something is great, buy it.
As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...
in a green tunic, silver shield, and magic blade to stand against it.
