It's much more obvious with Cena than it was with various other fan favorites in the past. For an example, the Rock showed some love to the audience but he didn't treat anyone with kid gloves. If the audience gave the Rock hell, he would give it right back to them (which ironically enough is what helped got him over in the first place). The Rock never came out smiling from ear to ear, he never made excuses for his haters, he never went out of his way to appease everybody, he never lost his edge in an effort to cater exclusively to a specific demographic, he didn't churn out do gooder messages left and right. Whereas with Cena, he might as well have a red cape at this point.
