I literally disagree with everything you typed. First of all that "hip hop is dead" shit got old a long time ago.....and in fact, it's less true now than it was when Nas named his album that. That 05-08 ringtone era was way worse than 09-12.

There's quite a bit of good rap music out now and in recent years. Wayne is not the best, everyone knows he's at the "lookin Larry Holmes, flabby and sick" stage of his career now.

There's always been music that knocks that's lyrically weak, that's for the clubs. That's not new. There's still dope rap music that's lyrical, and it usually doesn't get played on pop radio.....that's not new either, it's always been like that for the most part.

Eminem hasn't been a beast on the lyrics in years, either.
